About Aaron Allen
We (Kailan and Aaron) travel extensively for work and pleasure. When traveling together, we take our sons (born 2013 & 2018) with us: they are quite the travelers! Kailan is from Canada and has lived in Toronto, Philadelphia, Edmonton, and the Netherlands; Aaron is from West Virginia and has lived in Key West, FL; Long Beach, MS, New Orleans, Boston, and Bologna, Italy. We both lived in Rome in 2011-12 (our picture in this profile is from our visit to a 1700-year old Roman aqueduct). We are professors at UNC Greensboro. We rent a fully furnished apartment, and we've set it up as we would like it if we were traveling. Aaron lived in this condo for a few years before we moved in together. After leasing it long term for a few years, we now use it to host our parents, family, and friends when they come to visit. In addition, we make it available to short term renters like yourself!

Nice, Clean & Comfortable. Great Location
We really enjoyed staying here. Excellent downtown location is easy to access and the apartment was clean and comfortable. We cooked most our meals and found everything we needed to cook with. But if you are looking to eat out the burgers at Stumble Stilskins just down the sidewalk were really good! Aaron checked in occasionally to see if everything was okay. Make sure to thoroughly read the instructions he sends prior to check-in - they contain all the info you will need. -John & Kathleen
Thank you, John and Kathleen! You are welcome back any time!
Unfortunate situation but the owner was great to work with!
Unfortunately a neighbor in this condo complex smoked so it periodically came into our rental condo and we are really sensitive to smoke. The owner was great and understanding and plans to issue us a refund since we could no longer stay.
Downtown has a lot going on; search the web for "Downtown Greensboro, Inc." for listings, maps, stores, and events. This apartment is a very short two block walk to the main drag (Elm Street). The Famers' Market (Saturday and Wednesday mornings) on Yanceyville and E. Lindsay Sts. is excellent, and the Deep Roots Coop at N. Eugene and Smith Sts. (about six blocks away) is a favorite. There are lots of clubs, restaurants, bars, cafes, and shops within a few blocks. Our manual made available to confirmed guests lists some of our favorites.
Our building was originally a grocery store in the early 1900s. In the mid-/late- 20th century, it became law offices (because it's directly across the street from the Guilford Courthouse). In 2007, just before we purchased it, the building was completely renovated into 33 one- and two-bedroom apartments.
