This spacious home is directly on the WATER... PEACEFUL... TRANQUIL... PERFECT FOR RELAXING.... it is newly remodeled with vaulted ceilings and quartzite floors throughout, you can truly get away from it all. We sit directly on a sea wall, overlooking the beautiful ocean and secluded North Shore beaches with spectacular unobstructed views from the door of nearly every room. This home has been tastefully decoracted with a touch of Hawaiiana and beautiful tropical landscaping. For those groups wanting to add more people (maximum of 10) or if you simply just want more space, ask about our optional 5th bedroom which is available to rent. If you rent the house as a 4 bedroom we simply leave the 5th bedroom door locked.

Miles of golden sand, quiet beaches and pristine waters, filled with tropical fish and green sea turtles, this location is truly a rare find!! Public Beach Access to miles of unspoiled beaches is just a short walk from the house in either direction (an eighth of a mile). We are 5 minutes from the lovely historic town of Haleiwa. Here there is a harbor, restaurants, art galleries and local food markets, still preserved in Hawaiian style. You are just 30 minutes from Pearl Harbor and about 20 more minutes into Honolulu/Waikiki. Beautiful sunsets are the perfect way to end another day as you let the sound of the ocean put you to sleep. Fall in love with Paradise time and again!

About The Owner

Aloha, We are Patrick and Rebecca Quigley and we have 3 grown children and 2 grandchildren. We love traveling to surfing destinations world-wide. We both have a passion for the ocean, serenity and the Beautiful World God has created. We have been Maui and Oahu residents for over 18 years. Why The Owner chose Waialua

Mokuleia is a piece of heaven. The area is quiet and the ocean in front of the house has so many shades of blue from turquoise to deep royal. It is absolutely breathtaking! We love to watch the skydivers as they are so colorful and also we always are looking for sea turtles swimming by. In season, Dec 15 - Apr 15 we can also see whale activity between us and the horizon. So spectacular!

What makes this house unique

We love being near to so many quiet and unspoiled beaches. This end of the North Shore has much less traffic than the Haleiwa so that makes it a stress-free location for us. It can get a little busier on the weekends but that's because "town" folks like to come out here for some peace and quiet.

Thank you so much for sharing your lovely home with us in Hawaii. The North Shore is such a beautiful place to come. Your home enabled us to have all our kids and their family come and join us. It was such a treat. We were all able to do our own special thing. Horeseback riding, shorkeling, sky diving and . . . . we especially enjoyed the private and quiet beaches (loved watching the sea turtles all along the way). Will come again hopefully someday soon, but for now, it's back to wintertime in Alaska. It was a wonderful experience, Thank You Again!

This unique house can be rented as a 4BD/2BA for smaller groups or a 5BD/2BA for larger groups. The owners live on Maui but occasionally throughout the year, may find the need to be on property. They have a small attached studio apartment with its own private entrance and you most likely will not even know they are there. See the owner's profile - we are quiet and keep to ourselves but are happy to be of assistance to our guests.

Amazing home on the North Shore!!

I can not express enough how much we enjoyed staying in this home! It was a perfect getaway for our wedding weekend. We had 10 people in the house and there was plenty of room for all of us. And man, that view! It was simply amazing. We couldn't aske for a better ocean view to wake up to every morning. I highly recommend this house for anyone looking for a nice quiet place on the North Shore. Thanks Rebecca for letting us stay in your beautiful home!!

Beautiful and convenient

Our family, 5 cousins, representing two families, enjoyed our stay, right on the beach. It was nice to spread out in the four bedrooms and then have the convenience of the equipped kitchen, to enjoy family style meals, together, around the table. It was very helpful to be less than a mile from the venue of the event our family and friends gathered for over the weekend. It was also easy to access after some of our excursions into Honolulu and other areas on the island.

Great house- needs a deep clean

We just returned from our week long vacation and wanted to say this was a wonderful house. It has everything you need. It feels a bit far from the hustle and bustle of popular Haleiwa, but 15 min will get you there. We loved watching the skydivers and just relaxing in the yard looking at the water.

One thing this house needs is a good clean. It is impossible to get the sand off the stone floors so it inevitably gets into the beds, sofa cushions, etc. that is to be expected when living at the beach :) We tried both vacuums but neither worked very well. The area rugs all felt pretty nasty and worn out upon arrival. I put a towel over a few just to keep my feet feeling clean. There were about 3 dead cockroaches on the side of the house near the outdoor shower (so no one wanted to use it). We also found a dead one in the master bedroom on our 4th night. These should be cleaned up before guests arrive- perhaps the cleaning crew just doesn’t check?

Rebecca is amazing and took care of all our needs, including opening up the spare bedroom when one of the guests needed some more space last minute. Truly a great host!

Overall, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to being on North Shore again soon!

Nice location - BUT.....

So first the good stuff. The house is nice, and in a nice location right on the ocean (although there is no access to get down to the ocean, which was a bummer). Great to hear the pounding waves all night, and one day there were even a couple of sea turtles right out front. It's only a short walk from the amazing Mokuleia Beach and right across the street from the landing zone for skydivers. And while it's on the North Shore, it's not along the often-clogged road leading to Sunset Beach, Turtle Bay, etc. So traffic isn't a problem.

BUT...I probably wouldn't choose to stay here again. Besides lack of any A/C, there were several things that weren't working, and a few of those were marked by the owners with taped-down notes that had clearly been there a long time, indicating that they didn't seem to put a priority on actually fixing them. Individually, none of the items were critical, but together they formed a theme. The other thing that we all noticed was a sort of "edginess" to the many notes left in various places and in the check-out instructions, almost like we were being lectured in absentia. And finally, there were no beach toys like boogie boards, fins, etc. - even though the VRBO listing says they're supposed to be there.

So overall, you won't regret staying here because of the location, and the house was nice enough, but don't be surprised if you leave thinking "Well, it was nice, but..."

Great property with plenty of room for a big family!

We stayed for a week in early Oct and the weather was perfect. Highly recommend this home for big families that want to stay away from the hectic tourist locations. Every day we visited the wonderful spots in Oahu from the waterfalls, hikes, Luau's, resorts and then we would drive home to our peaceful home for the week. The sounds of the waves crashing so close was amazing to fall asleep to and watch in the morning while siping on my morning coffee.

CANCELLATION POLICY: A $200 minimum processing fee applies to ALL cancellations plus the VRBO/HomeAway policy states that the Service Fee you paid them is NOT refundable. If you cancel 60 days prior to arrival, any remaining monies will be refunded. If you cancel 60 – 30 days prior to your arrival and your space does not get rebooked, your remaining monies will be forfeited. Final payment is due 30 days prior to arrival or payable in full if booking within 30 days of arrival. Once your account is paid in full, there will be no refunds after this point in time. If in doubt and because unforeseen things happen, please purchase independent Travel Insurance that is not associated with me personally but it is available thru VRBO/HomeAway at the time of check out.

CHANGE FEES: Once an initial payment is made, a minimum $100 CHANGE FEE WILL APPLY to date changes!

If a CREDIT CARD is used for any payment, it will incur a 4% fee (5% if international). Credit card fees will accumulate and be invoiced for after the final payment is made unless you have asked to have the fee added to your original invoice. All E-Check payments have no fees but you will need me to set up your invoicing to enable that option. All invoicing will be done online and generated thru VRBO’s secured website.
