Winding roads and balconies
This older unit had the basics, good window views and good storage space. Being from Canada we were somewhat terrified of the small roads and the fast speed of the local drivers. Driving from St Keverne twice a day to and from Porthallow. However, if one was familiar with the roads, the place was a great base to explore Cornwall. We loved the coastal walk and our meeting with Collin at the Nare Point Coastal Watch station.
Stunning views in a lovely location away from the crowds.
A well appointed apartment with stunning views that were hard to leave. A beautiful location with lots of places to visit and stunning vistas to enjoy. We loved it! Thank you.
Clean, great decor and everything you need
Had an amazing stay at this apartment. The view from the balcony was beautiful. Would highly recommend. Lots of places to visit if you have a car. We loved Sennen cove about 1 hour or so drive. Had beautiful sand and blue sea. More like Barbados! Great fish and chips from a mobile van on Friday evenings nearby. Penzance is the place if you want lots of shops.
Lovely views, clean and well-equipped apartment
My partner, his parents and I had a lovely stay in this apartment in the peaceful, picturesque village of Porthallow (during the Easter holidays).
Despite a nightmare start (lots of rain and flooding in the village), the rest of our time was perfect! David was very kind in speaking to another resident who allowed us to park our second car in her space for the week as it was unoccupied. The welcome pack of milk, tea, coffee and biscuits was much appreciated.
The apartment balcony is lovely to sit out on (sea views) and we ate in the apartment most evenings (the kitchen is well equipped). The place is clean, spacious and pretty (with its nautical décor). We also made use of the washing facilities which meant we didn't need to do our washing when we returned home!
Porthallow itself is beautiful. We went for a lovely walk along the coastline from the beach, we bought fresh eggs from one of the locals and we also ate at the local pub (The Five Pilchards) which served lovely, fresh food with the catches of the day on their menu. Also don't miss out on another place around the corner (the Fat Apples Café) where we had the most amazing cake one afternoon and a full English breakfast on the morning we left.
Overall, this is a really lovely place to stay with friends or family and we would highly recommend it to others.
Lovely flat in an ideal location
We had a lovely stay here. Complimentary tea/coffee and milk was helpful on arrival. Having towels and bedding provided was a huge help. Only a short walk to the beach was lovely.
Perfect hideaway with stunning views.
A welcome pack on arrival, tea, coffee, milk, and sugar. Home from home apartment with everything provided. It was a comfortable stay and a perfect hideaway from everyday living.
It little out of the way if you want to tour with no transport, transport is essential, so many places of interest, Poldark Mine, Caverack, Mullion, Helston boat lake, Menack Theatre, Falmouth.
Make sure you visit the five pilchards pub in the village but book first for food, the food was exceptional.
The accomadation no good if your disabled, there are a quite a few steps leading down to the apartment and a steep hill to climb if you have had a drink down the pub.
Some lovely walks in the area with national trust places nearby. I would recommend a stay here.
