Fabulous Flat in Edinburgh
We could not have been happier with our accommodations in Edinburgh! Our hosts were most gracious, friendly, and helpful. We were given helpful instructions for traveling from the airport to the flat, then met and shown around the flat, then given suggestions on ways to enjoy our time in Edinburgh. The flat is just as it is pictured: huge, beautifully appointed, fully functioning, and in the perfect location to enjoy the city's many features. Our hosts even provided many food supplies to tide us over until we could shop. We walked to everything; the castle, cathedrals, museums, galleries, restaurants, shops. We strongly recommend you book this flat - you will be thrilled. If we could give it 10 stars, we would!
Very spacious and comfortable. Loved the high ceilings and two couches. Nice touches all around. Great location. Quiet. Diane was very helpful in every way. Would stay there again.
Excellent location wonderful hosts and spacious and comfortable apartment. It was in a beautiful area and very quiet the hop-on-hop-off bus stop is a 2-minute walk. We also took full day tour with Lothian that use the same stop I would highly recommend staying at this property. The owners had left us flowers, coffee tea and essentials so that our shopping trips to the nearby store we're limited. It was the best apartment rental we have stayed at
Well located bright Edinburgh apartment
Lovely bright apartment fabulous location pleasant and helpful hosts. We were in easy walking distance to shops and excellent restaurants also close to Edinburgh's historic sights, Princess street and the tram.
A True Gem in Edinurgh
We booked Diane and Alan's rental for our first visit to Edinburgh, preferring to stay in an apt rather than a hotel. We could not have been happier with our choice! Communication with Diane and Alan was spot on from the time we booked a few months prior and throughout our stay. They were so accommodating! The location of the apartment is fantastic - a beautiful residential area across from Charlotte Square and just a very short walk to the shops/restaurants on George St. and the
hustle and bustle of Princes St. with sights, hop on/off buses within walking distance . If you are like us, we love the easy access to sights but prefer the quiet of residential after a busy sightseeing day. The apartment is beautiful - very spacious, well appointed with the amenities we appreciate - very comfortable bed, large bath with hot shower, well equipped kitchen to enjoy breakfast before heading out. Diane and Alan had equipped the kitchen with breakfast items/coffee to jumpstart our visit.
We've booked quite a few rentals in the past and we can only say that every host could take a lesson from Diane and Alan - they have left no stone unturned in making the vacation rental experience memorable in the very best way. We will definitely refer them every chance we get!
A pleasant and relaxing place to stay after a day sight see Edindurgh.
Dear Dianne and Alan, thank you for your hospitality and kind support while staying at your beautiful apartment. You helped make our stay an enjoyable one and your apartment is so comfortable and a great place to relax.
Peter and Karen
The apartment is in the elegant Georgian New Town in a cul de sac off Charlotte Square which is in City Centre adjacent to Princes Street. It is within easy walking distance of most of the attractions and with good transport links. There are bus stops, a Taxi Rank, Airport Bus stops and a Tram Halt all within a few minutes walk. Both Waverley and Haymarket Railway Stations are within walking distance too. A City Tour Bus can be boarded in Charlotte Square.
While the property is quietly situated there are pubs, clubs and restaurants close by. Just a few minutes away on Shandwick Place there are three late opening supermarkets (Sainsbury, Tesco and Co-op). The Edinburgh Farmers Market takes place on Saturday mornings in nearby Castle Terrace.
Charlotte Square hosts the Book Festival during August and nearby are the Lyceum, Traverse, Kings and Usher Hall theatres, Churches, The Filmhouse and Odeon Cinema.
