Our family had a wonderful time!

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay. We had everything we needed. The cottage was very comfortable and pleasant. If and when we return to Kiawah, we would definitely stay there again. Great location for beach and pool.

Best Vacation Ever!

  • 5 of 5

This really was a great vacation! We rented bikes and rode all over the island. A short bike ride to the beach. We often finished our daily beach trip at the pool. With two pools, it kept the little one entertained for hours. A great place to enjoy a poolside lunch as well. Having resort privileges was a real advantage. There are so many activities, we did as many as we could and there were still plenty others to choose from. The house had everything we needed and more. We tried a variety of restaurants on the island through the week and each one was great with plenty to choose from. We literally had ice cream daily from a variety of places. My 3 year old is still talking about it months later. Highly recommend!

Great location

  • 2 of 5

The location of this property is great. It's close to the pool and beach. Having resort privileges is a plus too. Upon check in the unit was not cleaned very well at all (coffee grounds, crumbs, chips on the floor etc)

The condition of the unit is rough specifically the kitchen. It says it's a premiere property with the resort and in my history of this level of property, it does not meet the criteria. I have been coming to Kiawah for the last 25 years and this was one of the best locations I've had but the worst interior accommodations.

Owner's Response: The Resort manages our property and has always done a stellar job. They are aware of the issues now and all are being addressed. Anytime a guest has any concern with the property, they can call the Resort housekeeping or maintenance and all issues will be resolved that day.

The perfect place to stay with the family

  • 5 of 5

the fact This house was such a perfect location for us. We were 5 minutes from the beach, the kids loved seeing alligators on the way, and 3 minutes from the Heron park, pool, splash park etc!

The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay. Having the resort access was a must! We could go to all the golf clubs and eat, rent bikes, etc.

I would suggest if traveling w little kids to hit the beach at low tide so they play in the tide pools.

We hired a sitter nightly through the resort and my husband and I drove into Charleston almost nightly to meet friends and have dinner. Using WAZ this took 38 mins tops (without traffic).

I would highly suggest The Ryder's Cup bar at end of Kiawah to have lunch or dinner. The views were amazing. Also brunch at the Sanctuary was really wonderful. We tried as many restaurants for lunch as we could, and they were all very good.

Overall a great vacation.
