Great place in heart of city
First class from the start, all the way through. Loved the location- quiet, plenty of room for a family of 4, and overall a perfect experience.
Heart of Firenze
This comfortable and safe property is terrific and exactly as described. We had not visited Florence previously, and despite our research about what sites we wanted to visit there, talking with Emma on check-in and getting her recommendations was extremely helpful. The property's central location cut travel time and strain on our feet!
A great place to stay in Florence.
Excellent location and amenities!
Perfect home away from home
My husband and I spent three nights here recently and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The apartment is stunning with beautiful frescoes on the ceilings. The renovation they did in the apartment not only saved but completely restored the frescoes while creating a very modern, clean and functional space for us to enjoy. The location couldn't be better. Via dei Neri is a lively street with many restaurants, bars and coffee shops. It is also very close to many of the sights we all go to see in Firenze. It is in the large pedestrian city center. Since public transportation in the pedestrian zone is non existent (except for taxis and an occasional trolley that is too packed to even get on), it important to be within walking distance of the sights in Firenze. There are many steps to reach the apartment but the building is equipped with a small, but functional elevator for your use. The kitchen is well equipped and has everything necessary to make your stay comfortable. The bathroom is large, the shower is very large and comfortable. Emma is a great host and and very helpful. She is an expert on the area. The only very small thing that probably isn't an issue for most people is that the TV screen is very small. Most people will be out of the apartment sightseeing, but should it be raining or should someone need to stay home for the day, it would be nice to have a larger screen. We sometimes travel with TV shows and movies and will stream them from our tablet to the TV.
I definitely give "Overlooking the rooftops of Florence" 5 stars!! We would stay there again and we have already recommended it to others that will be travelling to Firenze!!
Perfect location and wonderful host
My family of four stayed here in Florence for five days. It is a great location to start and end your daily sight-seeing excursions of this beautiful city. Emma was very quick to respond with all my questions (within an hour) and gave us great suggestions on where to dine, (good gelato right next to the building btw) and which garage parks to use (great info especially when trying to avoid those pesky ZTL zones) She even made a reservation for us at an Italian osteria and called a taxi for us when we had to leave for the train. The apartment is exactly how it looks in the photos. It is very clean. All the basic amenities you need are provided. We were greeted with a bottle of wine upon arriving. Our kids' beds were already set up in the second bedroom. The air conditioning and fan was a welcoming relief from the hot July days. We kept the windows closed, so we didn't really hear much noise from the very busy via de neiri street down below. This place also has a washer. Don't worry about a dryer--there is a large clothes rack which will dry your clothes overnight or during the day while you are out exploring. Everything you need in a kitchen is also there. There are stairs to climb to the apartment (but you'll need to do it anyway to walk off the gelato and great pasta you've eaten that day :) ) but also a handy elevator to bring up your suitcases. The apartment is well secured. We would definitely come back and stay here. Thank you so much Emma, for being a great host! Your place was perfect for us.
Wonderful Florence vacation rental
My daughter and I spent 8 nights at Emma's apartment on Via dei Neri and absolutely loved the apartment. All the rooms were large and well furnished. We had a washing machine and a dishwasher, comfortable beds, good size refrigerator (with a small freezer). Emma's husband kindly let us into the apartment early on the day we arrived and greeted us with a "welcome" bottle of wine. The apartment is in a great area, right behind the Uffizzi, close to Santa Croce, the Ponte Vecchio, and on the same block as a great gelateria. Street noise is everywhere in Florence but my daughter had a white noise app on her smart phone and we had no problem sleeping. I highly recommend Emma's apartment and look forward to a return stay.
