Imagine spending your vacation in this light filled, luxurious apartment just steps away from the center of Uzès. L'ancienne Brasserie, or old brewery buildings, have been converted into beautiful apartments in a quiet, gated community which includes tennis courts, a lovely swimming pool and private parking.

L'Ancienne Brasserie has been completely updated and decorated to provide spacious, comfortable areas for lounging, dining, cooking, as well as 3 bedrooms. Two bedrooms have 160cm (queen) beds, and one has a 140cm (double) bed. The main floor has an open plan with seating area, dining table and kitchen, plus French doors that open on to a private patio. The patio has an outdoor seating area plus a table and chairs for relaxing and dining outside. The kitchen has all new appliances, as well as utensils, dinnerware, glasses and cutlery. In other words, all the essentials

for creating fabulous meals after shopping at the market in Uzès. There is a toilet as well as a shower room on the main floor.

Elegant marble stairs lead to the second floor, where you will find the bedrooms and a large bathroom with tub/shower and double lavatories. There is also a separate toilet.

The pool and lounge area is a short 20 meters from the apartment. The tennis courts are adjacent to the pool. This exceptional property has been designed for year-round enjoyment. There are heated floors for winter comfort and lots of windows for fresh breezes in the summer. Uzès is one of the prettiest Provençal villages in the south of France. It is known for the Saturday market, as well as lively cafés and shopping. All of this is a quick 5 minute walk from where you will be staying. So, after a day at the market or evening drinks in a café, you can return to the quiet and calm of your comfortable home away from home and the perfect place for your vacation!

Peaceful, Safe, great location to explore Uzes

We stayed at L'Accienne Brasserie the first two weeks of August, our party was 4 adults and one child aged 8. The weather was perfect - 30+ degrees every day, so we visited the pool regularly (which is literally the gate opposite to the gate to the terrace). It was never busy, some days we had it to ourselves even. There are sunloungers provided too by the owner to laze by the pool, and enjoy the peace and quiet. The house is not only beautifully decorated but well equipped. No expense has been spared to make this a lovely place to holiday. The bed linen and towels were excellent quality. When it got too hot to cook inside, we cooked on the huge gas BBQ outside, which was fantastic. Uzes is a short, stroll through shaded streets. There seemed to be an event in Uzes every day, the day markets are very busy but great for fresh produce, and the night market was great for gifts. We visited Nimes, Pont du Gard and Arles, and enjoyed them all for different reasons. Be aware that if you go anywhere in august the traffic near the larger towns is pretty bad, but worth it! We took the advice in the information folder and avoided the Haribo Museum, just went straight to the Boutique, we queued for about 20 minutes but worth it for my 8 year old, wall to wall tubs of sweets! the Intermarche supermarket at Montaren is 5/10 mins drive. Dominique was very friendly & helpful for the entire stay, and came back to us quickly with any queries. This place is perfect for anyone who wants a bit of luxury in the sun where you feel safe and can walk easily into Uzes. We loved sitting on the terrace in the evening with a glass of wine, playing pictionary and star gazing. Thank you for a lovely holiday, we didn't want to leave and we will be back!

A lovely apartment run by lovely people

My wife and I stayed at L"Ancienne Brasserie for a week this May. We found the apartment spacious, comfortable, light and airy and extremely clean. The location is ideal--only an eight minute walk from the heart of Uzes, the Place aux Herbes, yet quiet and peaceful. Dominque and her husband, Christophe, were professional, warm and helpful hosts. They provided us with a detailed and comprehensive booklet listing not only instructions on how to use appliances, etc. but also tips on restaurants and other services. Christophe even met us at the apartment when we arrived and patiently explained how appliances worked, etc. We would absolutely stay at L"Ancienne Brasserie again. In fact, we plan to! A terrific, restful vacation in a charming house..

Fantastic apartment close to the town centre

We thoroughly enjoyed our week in Uzes. The apartment was beautiful and spacious and an easy walk into the town. Dominique was a great help in providing information on the apartment and area. We will definitely be returning.

Tips: Les Terroirs for lunch and Ma Cantine for a casual evening meal.

Beautiful Apartment

This is the second stay at this wonderful apartment. Perfect for quick and easy access to the centre of Usez, and surrounding sites to see. This area of France is lovely and there are plenty of things to do and see and liked its proximity to the Camargue, Nimes. We found the apartment spotlessly clean and well stocked with crockery, glasses, guides etc. It is tastefully decorated with comfortable and stylish furniture. The inside has two large sofas and a large coffee table, ideal for relaxing in the evening while outside there is a large gas BBQ. The bedrooms are airy and the beds extremely comfortable - the owners have spared no expense to make this stay a very nice experience indeed. Outside the swimming area is tranquil and relaxing. All in all I can't recommend it enough for stays in the area.

Tolle Urlaubsidylle für die ganze Familie

Wir haben hier 3 sehr schöne Urlaubswochen verbracht. Neben dem stabil schönen Wetter und der lohnenswerten Umgebung von Uzès hat dazu auch diese Unterkunft beigetragen: ruhig aber trotzdem recht zentral gelegen, viel Platz, ansprechend eingerichtet und dazu einen großen Pool in direkter Reichweite. Wir haben alles, was geboten wurde auch intensiv genutzt: die schöne, am Nachmittag dann auch recht schattige Terrasse und ab und zu auch mal den Tennisplatz. Unser Aufenthalt war ohne Abstriche gelungen, daher eine klare Empfehlung und volle 5 Sterne!

L'Ancienne Brasserie is located in a quiet neighborhood in the historical town of Uzès. Uzès is the perfect place to be, while visiting the Gard region and neighboring region of Provence. The famous Pont du Gard aqueduct is a 10 minutes drive.

The Gard region is a true paradise for hiking, horseback riding or cycling. The Uzès golf courses is less than 5 km from the house.

Several tourist and historic sites to visit nearby: Duchy of Uzès, the Pont du Gard, Nîmes with its bull ring and Maison Carré, Avignon and the Popes' Palace, Arles and its arena, the Camargue and its horses, Haribo factory, the Gardon River and Ardèche canyons, the Anduze bamboo garden and its small steam train, the Haras d'Uzès famous equestrian center. L'Ancienne Brasserie is a perfect location for taking daytrips to Les Baux de Provence, St Remy de Provence, Aix en Provence, the Camargue beaches or the Cevennes Mountains.

One of the most beautiful markets in the South of France takes place every Wednesday and Saturday in Uzès on the Place aux Herbes. Here you will find local products: fruits, vegetables, goat cheese, wines and local Mediterranean products, as well as soaps, pottery, linens and clothes.

During summer, you can head to the night markets of Uzès and the surrounding villages. There are music festivals at the Pont du Gard, Blauzac (Jazz), and Uzès, among others. Local village festivals take place every weekend in the region with running of the bulls in the streets, music, food and children's activities.

For those who love gourmet cuisine and wine, you will love this area! You will be in the heart of the Côtes du Rhône wine region . The well known Chateauneuf-du-Pape or Vacqueras are easily accessible by car for a day trip of wine tasting. The Foire aux Vins d’Uzès (wine fair), where the regions wines are showcased, takes place every year on the 2nd weekend of August.

During winter, the Fête de la Truffe (Truffle Festival), occurs every 3rd weekend of January and offers fresh truffles, tastings, food and wine pairings, and a large dinner prepared by Michelin starred chefs. It is possible to rent the apartment for the weekend only.
