Great place to stay
Quiet place with enough room for a small family. Superb!
Lovely gite, beautiful location, wheelchair accessible.
The gite is as described in the photographs - it is clean, comfortable and tastefully furnished and decorated. It has its own private entrance and is very private. Lovely patio area where we sat outside to bbq and eat. A couple of minutes walk down the road is a bar and shop. We did not use the shop but stopped for a morning coffee a few times. There is a lake (not swimming) but very pretty. There is a swimming lake close by in Catus. During our stay there was a village 'soiree' and everyone was so friendly. We also went to the village hall to watch the world cup final!
Cahors is beautiful and is about a 25 minute drive away .
There is an intermarche nearby - 5 minute drive.
From a wheelchair user perspective the gite was very good - all on one level and with a wheelchair friendly bathroom.
Of course so many beautiful villages along The Lot.
Veronique is a perfect host - respecting privacy but responding immediately if required - thank you Veronique!
Quiet, wonderful views
Short stroll down to the village for bread etc, all provisions in the local shop/cafe, but they close around 7 in the evening, also Mondays. No problem as long as you aware and have brought enough food to last.
Lake in the village has Tench, Carp, Pike ... and a rather large Florida Red turtle! Believe me, I have the photos to prove it!
Also good fishing from the landing stage on the Lot (go towards to church and keep left) when there are no boats moored.
Owners brought us a bag of Girolle (Chanterelle) mushrooms which they had picked in the woods that morning, lovely sauted on crusty bread.
If you use the underground car park in Cahors (off Rue St-Gery) look out for the remains of the Roman Amphitheater on the fist floor down.
Enjoyed our stay immensely.
