We are a blended family who snowbirds between Wisconsin and Georgia - even though we still work! Will grew up in this home until his parents moved to Alaska but has returned here every summer of his life. Our kids learned to sail, windsurf, water-ski and just have fun and come back often to visit.
Lacey purchased this House in 1972
Why Lacey chose New Auburn
We've been on this lake for over 40 years and the family owns two adjoining properties. As the kids have gone off to college and Grandma doesn't come up a often we are quite content in the place next door, making this cottage available to you.
What makes this House unique
Round lake is one of the absolute cleanest lakes in Wisconsin - and it your view across the lake is of woods - not other homes. You will not find this anywhere else in the state.

Feels like home
Owners made our stay very comfortable. Owners are very friendly. Would stay here again.
Cute and quaint cabin
Lacey and Will were wonderful to work with. Very quick responses and accommodating. We love being able to use the boat and kayaks. Will was very patient teaching us to drive his boat. They were extremely respectful of our space even though they were right next door. Would definitely rent from them again. The lake is so quiet and peaceful. Great for swimming and hanging out on the boat.
Thanks so much for the kind words! We enjoyed having you stay with us! Thank you for taking such good care of our cabin. We couldn't be so accommodating without great guests that actually respect our home! We hope to see you again next summer!
Clean and comfortable
We enjoyed our stay. Everything was as stated on the VRBO listing.
Round Lake Adventure
My husband and I brought out three grandchildren and our dog to Lacey's property and had a great vacation despite one rainy day:) The lake was beautiful and clean. We were in the water all four day, tubing, swimming, fishing and kayaking.
July 2019 vacation
We were more than pleasantly surprised with the cabin we rented. Will and Lacey were very friendly and welcoming and their cabin was awesome. They had everything you could imagine and we can’t wait to go back. The lake is great and we enjoyed many bonfires watching the sun set. So glad we found this place. Thank you Will and Lacey for everything. We had an awesome vacation.
Beautiful family getaway
Our extended family had a wonderful week enjoying beautiful Round Lake. The water is super clean and we spent the week swimming, tubing, kayaking, and even a bit of sailing. Lacey and Will are incredibly hospitable and very helpful. We can’t wait to return!
Thank you for your kind words! We are so glad you enjoyed your stay! We look forward to your return next summer!

Ice Age interpretive center and hike, followed by Scenic Drive down County Road M – 1 hour to 6 hours, depending on which hike you pick. Good morning or afternoon trip.
Visit the Chippewa Moraine Ice Age interpretive center for 30 to 45 minutes to get a good feel for how the glaciers transformed this part of the country, as well as a few other touchy feely experiences…
Now go outside and pick which hike you would like to go on – there are short walks to full day hikes, just pick the path that is best for you. Be sure to bring lots of bug spray and good walking shoes.
After taking in the Interpretive center information, the “drive around the block” on County Road M is fascinating. Seeing so many small lakes and understanding how they were created gives you a whole new perspective on them.
Chippewa Falls day trip – leave around 11, return around 4 or 5
