About Natasha Allos
After much success with guests' experience with our first property in Mission Beach, we decided to add another property to our inventory! We are local, born and raised San Diegans and enjoy everything coastal. We enjoy staying at this gorgeous property when it's not rented (so not often for us) and love sharing it with other families from all over the country! We are very appreciative for guests choosing our properties and love hearing about their memories created with their own families there as well.
Natasha Allos purchased this House in 2018
Why Natasha Allos chose Mission Beach
This property is FANTASTIC for families first off because of the spacious floor plan of the common areas and CLOSE PROXIMITY to the bay and beach. Walking to the bay or beach is a snap and running back to the house to use the bathroom or grab a snack is so convenient. It's easy for everyone to enjoy time together when not at the beach - the kitchen holds a ton of people and the two living rooms make for a cozy movie or game night!
What makes this House unique
The house was purchased in the summer of 2018 and ALL furnishings and ammenities throughout the home are brand spanking new!
100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date. 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
This was a nice place with a neat layout. Only a few minute walk from Mission Beach and a little amusement park. Great dining, shopping, and some local neighborhood grocery store and restaurants starting a 100 yards from our gate.
A couple small complaints or rather suggestions. We had 11 people in the house, it would be nice to have larger cookware, trying to cook breakfast for this many people was challenging with the cookware available.
The only other thing that stood out, was in your rules it states children are not allowed on the rooftop deck without an adult. This makes total sense, however the only access to the rooftop deck was out a sliding glass door in the kids bedroom ( bunk bed room). We didnt even check it out because we didnt want the kids to even see the access.
Like I said before, this was a great place and the host was great getting back to us quickly with the couple questions we had. We would definitely stay here again.
Great spot for families. Easy access to bay and ocean side. The house was laid out well, plenty of space for all.
I did inform the owners of a few broken items in the house. Cabinet in the kitchen, as well as bathroom drawer, faces falling off. I would also recommend adding more bathroom towels. We ended up washing towels several times over our short visit.
Thanks so much for your feedback; we repaired the items you brought to our attention and added more towels! Appreciate your help!
Great place to stay!
This house is awesome! You’ve got Mission Bay a half block to the east and the Pacific Ocean a block to the west! There is a grocery store, liquor store and a few restaurants within a half block. We stayed here with my 3 adult children and 4 grandchildren. The house was perfect for us with plenty of separate space. This is a 2 level private house with a double garage and additional parking behind a gate. We rented a 15 passenger van which would not fit in the garage but was tight-squeezeable into the extra space. We did use the van to go to La Jolla beach (and saw a ton of seals), a wedding at the Bahia Resort, the San Diego Zoo, Sea World and Disneyland, but other than that everyone loved hopping on bikes or scooters that are conveniently everywhere and started with an app on your phone! You just ride to wherever you want and leave it! It’s amazing! Everyone also took advantage of Belmont Park being just a short walk or scooter ride up the street, plus lots of restaurants and shops up that way.
We had a very full week of activities during the day but I think everyone made it to the beach or a scooter ride every night!
The house is well stocked with plenty of dishes, utensils, coffee pot, blender, toaster oven, towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap. The appliances are all new and nice, there is an ice maker in the fridge and a washer and dryer upstairs (which got a workout!) There was dishwasher and laundry detergent but they may have been left by a former guest because I don’t think these are normally supplied. We did have to replenish the TP and paper towels during our stay. My daughter ordered groceries thru an app on her phone and they were delivered the same day. Probably cheaper than the market around the corner.
All of the beds are super comfortable, the bedding is very soft and airy...I’ll have to ask Natasha where she got it 😊
The owner, Natasha was very kind and worked with us on any questions we had but there were really no hitches, the place is very clean, well stocked and perfectly located. The only thing I think the place could use is a small vacuum as there are some large area rugs and carpet. There is a broom and dustpan.
There is a hot tub on the front patio and a nice, warm outdoor shower off the back door! Margaritas on the rooftop patio were the plan, but ran out of time.
My brothers and other family members had 4 other places rented along Mission Bay and this one was by far the nicest of them all! Thank you Natasha!😊
Lovely, conveniently located house
The house is located in an area which is a narrow strip surrounded on two sides by beaches. The ocean-facing beach in particular is great to visit, and just a few minutes walk. There are stores with essentials literally within a minute's walk, and even a nearby dive bar with late night karaoke, if that's your thing!
It's only about 10-15 minutes drive to the airport, and 15-20 minutes to the zoo. So being on the other side of the bay doesn't add much to driving time.
In the house, there's a good sized kitchen and living room area. The master suite is very big, and the bed is very comfortable (hybrid memory foam). If you're traveling with kids you'll appreciate the smaller bedroom in the same suite area which has bunk beds. The two downstairs bedrooms are smaller and share a large en-suite bathroom (arrangement where you lock the other bedroom's door), which has a peculiar arrangement where it's also the rear exit to the garage area, but that was never a problem as you can also go through a side passage to get there. They all have lots of storage space.
In the front yard, there's a big hot tub, grill, table and chairs. There's no privacy from the other houses which also face it along the pedestrian way, but nobody in our group had issues with it. It seemed like everyone around there (resident or renting) was a family with kids.
The garage is probably big enough to fit two small cars, with careful guidance and juggling. We had a single big minivan fit in there easily (with someone outside the car helping). The carport is also easy parking. Access is via narrow alleys, which are fine if you drive slowly. Just don't rent a humvee :) In fact, you can quite easily get away without renting a car at all, as Uber/Lyft is available within minutes through most of the city, and probably a cheaper option. I think our group used Lyft more than driving, overall.
I would definitely consider staying here again.
Great Updated Home
We stayed here over the Thanksgiving break for a family reunion. All together we rented five homes on Mission Beach and this was by far the nicest and most updated of the homes.
Layout works well with two bedrooms on the first floor and three on the second. There is a well equipped kitchen, dining and living area on the first floor and a large second living area upstairs. Rooftop terrace was a third living space. The fifth bedroom with the bunkbeds is located in the master suite and shares the master bathroom and closet. You also go through this room to access the rooftop terrace.
The owners were very responsive to our questions and is obvious they take great care of this home. We look forward to staying here again in the future.
The Perfect House
This house is ideally located in one of the best areas of San Diego and California. Mission Beach hasn't been overly re-developed or taken over by the chains and cookie cutter atmosphere of much of the rest of Southern California.
The house itself has everything you could possibly want in a vacation rental with many of the little things often overlooked by other properties . The house lives MUCH bigger than it looks from the outside with plenty of room for our group of 6 adults and 6 kids (plus an infant). It is located less than 100 ft from a small grocery store with almost anything you could ever need as well as two pizza restaurants, a great Mexican spot and a few small bars. Everything feels brand new with extremely comfortable beds, three nice bathrooms, and two off-street parking spots.
Check in was extremely easy and the owner was extraordinarily responsive to our communications up to and during the stay.
I would strongly recommend this home to anyone thinking of staying in San Diego.
We greatly appreciate you taking the time to share your experience and choosing our property! Hope to have you all on your next trip! Thanks!
