OVERVIEW

The 'Main House' is a two-story, four (4) bedroom, one and a half (1.5) bathroom renovated historic home. The house can accommodate ten (10) guests - two (2) queen beds, one (1) full bed, one (1) twin bed, and one (1) queen sleeper sofa. The house has a wrap-around upper balcony, and a wrap-around porch, overlooking the pool, sun deck, and Thomas Street.
The design of this property lends itself perfectly to small gatherings of families and friends.
The house is completely furnished with linens, towels, has a full kitchen (all cooking and eating utensils), Corian countertops, maple cabinets, Samsung side-by-side refrigerator (icemaker, serve thru water/ice dispenser), GE microwave, Whirlpool dishwasher, full size washer and dryer, central A/C (zoned Trane - 5 tons), 6 ceiling fans, cable TV, (2) Sony 32' flat screen HDTVs, ATT Uverse U300, (1) Samsung 40' SMART flatscreen HDTV, Sony DVD player, Panasonic CD/AM/FM player, internet telephones, and secured high speed wi-fi internet access, ADT Security System (24 hour central monitoring).
MASTER BEDROOM
The master bedroom has a queen size bed, clothes closet, dresser, 52' Hunter ceiling fan, and a 32' Sony flatscreen HDTV, ATT Uverse U300,.
SECOND BEDROOM
The second bedroom has a full size bed, a clothes closet, a dresser, and a 52' Hunter ceiling fan.
THIRD BEDROOM
The third bedroom has one (1) queen bed, a dresser, and a 52' Hunter ceiling fan.
FOURTH BEDROOM
The fourth bedroom has one (1) twin bed, a dresser, a 52' Hunter ceiling fan, and a 32' Sony flatscreen HDTV, ATT Uverse U300.
COMMON ELEMENTS
The five (5) house compound is private and secure with a 30' x 10' heated pool including a 5' x 10' heated Jacuzzi. In addition, there is a private 10' x 8' heated Jacuzzi. There are brick walkways, and a 40' x 10' sun deck, including a stainless steel propane barbecue, chaise lounges for sunbathing and relaxing; and tables and chairs for dining. Throughout the property there is secured wireless internet access, and cctv security monitoring.
LANDSCAPING
The landscaping is lush including various palm species, Poinciana, Spanish limes, avocado, bananas, hibiscus, bougainvillea, haliconias, bromeliads, and orchids, brick walkways.
EXCELLENT LOCATION
The house is located at the corner of Thomas and Angela Streets - (2) blocks west of the center of Duval Street; (4) blocks east of Fort Zachary Taylor State Park/Beach. The gated compound is within easy walking or biking distance to everything in Old Town Key West.
CHICKENS & ROOSTERS
The City of Key West protects chickens and roosters, and considers them as part of the history and charm of Key West. As a result, Key West and many of the islands throughout the Florida Keys have free-range chickens and roosters. You will definitely see and hear chickens and roosters during your stay in Key West. Some visitors to Key West love them, and some visitors hate them - personally, I enjoy them best roasted, with plantains, and black beans and rice!
PAYMENT
50% of the rental amount is due when the rental agreement is signed.
50% of the rental amount and a refundable security deposit are due prior to the beginning of the rental term.
I travel as often as possible, with my beautiful partner (who completes me) - we always seem to gravitate to water and good people. We enjoy historic settings, renovating old buildings, and a good bottle of two.

The neighborhood is alive, dynamic, and surrounded by Key West History - unquestionably the most intact Old Town Key West neighborhood on the island. There are excellent restaurants within walking distance, and Duval Street is only two blocks from the property - close enough, yet far enough away! Ft. Zachary Taylor, located only two blocks to the west of the property, is a National Historic Park and boasts the nicest beach with the best sunsets on the island.
Local character is preserved. Authentic Key West experience.
My husband and I celebrated our 19 year anniversary at Bahama Gardens and stayed in the Cigar House. The rental is only two blocks from Duval and the accomodations were very well appointed with everything that we needed. Thank you again Steven and John for your hospitality and helping to make our anniversary vacation a memorable one!
My family rented this house for a week in January 2010. We loved the house-it accomodates 8 perfectly-you can walk just about anywhere from the location. Nice pool & jacuzzi (even though it was too cold for us to swim !)
I suggest that you bring towells for the beach, since the house in only equuipped with bath towells.
Otherwise, it had everything we needed.

You, your family, friends and guests may come and go as you please, anytime during the rental term. We do require that all guests staying on or using the property, register with the owner prior to arrival. The house will be inspected at the time you receive the keys, and when you return the keys. You will NOT be responsible for the house or the property, prior to receiving the keys and/or once you return the keys. All rates described on this site are based on a thirty day rental term in accordance with the City of Key West rental ordinance; discounts apply to monthly rentals. The minimum stay may be less than thirty days and the maximum stay may be longer than thirty days. The City of Key West requires that I rent the house to you for a rental term of thirty days or longer, during which time only you, your family, friends, and/or guests, have sole and exclusive use of the house. According to my attorney and the City attorney, if I rent the house to you, and you, your guests and/or friends only occupy the house for less than the entire rental term, the house must remain empty for the rest of the rental term - and the house may not be occupied by any other persons or leased to anyone else.
