Come home to Meadowhaven! We welcome you to our home away from home, a lovely three-bedroom townhome, located just outside the small town of Tabernash, about 15 minutes drive from Winter Park. Tastefully decorated, with new, high quality furnishings and kitchen equipment, you'll find everything you need here.
The townhome has three bedrooms, and comfortably sleeps eight to nine people. If you have a bigger group, there is a queen-sized futon in the downstairs living room, so you can easily sleep eleven people here. Upstairs, the master bedroom has a queen Sleep Number® bed, a cozy chair in a reading nook by the window, and a large adjoining private bathroom. The second upstairs bedroom has another queen bed, and there is a full bathroom (with tub and shower) across the hall. Downstairs, the bunk room (colorfully furnished by our teenage daughter) will appeal to the younger crowd. Here you'll find two bunkbeds (twin/twin and twin/double), a full-sized dresser, and a round game table with four chairs. The closet is stocked with kids' games... And there are more games for all ages in the living room upstairs. Enter the large downstairs bathroom directly from the bunk room or from the adjoining living room.
The downstairs living room has a queen futon sofa, and several chairs. Here you can enjoy watching the large screen satellite TV (a collection of DVDs and videos are available), or just relax and chat in front of the gas fireplace. A sliding door leads out to a shaded lower deck. Laundry facilities, a large coat closet, and access to the two-car garage are also located on this floor.
Upstairs, find a large, open, second living room, with lovely hardwood floors, and furnished with comfy sofa and loveseat, stereo, gas fireplace, and bookshelf stocked with books and games. The adjoining dining room has a dark oak table that seats eight comfortably. If you have a larger group, four more people can sit at the island between the dining room and kitchen. The fully equipped kitchen includes gas stove, refrigerator/freezer, microwave, blender, coffee maker, toaster, crock pot, and a lot more. Years of experience as renters before we found Meadowhaven have helped us to ensure that everything you need (from cooking equipment, to staples and spices) is available for the use of our renters. From the upstairs living space two sliding glass doors lead onto a spacious sunny upstairs deck, complete with large patio set, gas grill, and very active hummingbird feeders (for summer visitors).
Our townhome is located in a small, quiet community of homes, with a mixture of year-round and seasonal residents as well as short-term visitors. From the back deck, enjoy sweeping views of Pole Creek Valley, the Vasquez Wilderness Area, and Winter Park ski area. From the front of the house, gaze on the rugged Indian Peaks to the East, and Rocky Mountain National Park to the North. As a temporary resident of the Pole Creek Neighborhood, you are welcome to spend time at or on the nine acre private lake, just a few minutes walk from the house. Fishing is good... The lake is stocked, and non-motorized watercraft are allowed. Groceries and gas are available in Fraser and Granby, each less than ten minutes drive away. Denver is about 60 miles away, and Rocky Mountain National Park is 30 miles to the North.
Winter activities in the area include downhill skiing and boarding (at Winter Park/Mary Jane, and Sol Vista), as well as cross-country skiing and snowshoeing (at Devil's Thumb Ranch, and Snow Mountain Ranch, both only minutes away from Pole Creek), and tubing (at the Fraser Tubing Hill). Also nearby: snowmobiling, sledding, dog sledding, ice skating, and swimming at the YMCA's indoor pool.
Summer activities include biking (the Fraser bike trail crosses the entrance road to our neighborhood, and leads to over 600 miles of trails within the area), hiking (we have lots of books with ideas of places to explore) and golf.
Payment is by personal check. State and County taxes of 8.9% apply to all bookings. A deposit of 50% of the total cost (including tax, and cleaning fee) is required to confirm your reservation, with the balance due no less than two weeks prior to the scheduled arrival date. Once the two-week point is reached, the deposit is nonrefundable unless we are able to rebook the property for the dates you had reserved. If we rebook the propery, a pro-rated refund will be calculated for each day we are able to rebook the property, less a $35 cancellation fee. Trip insurance is recommended for unforeseen problems leading to a cancellation.
A damage deposit of $250.00 by personal check is required with the final payment. The check will be returned within ten (10) days of departure, providing no damage is noted.
