Empty nester couple that loves to travel and when we do we try to find VRBO's to stay in. We love eating at "local" diners, exploring museums, and zig zagging on our travels. This allows us to see lots of places and gives us a sense of the local people, their lives and their stories. We've met some very nice people where we've stayed and as a host, hopefully we can offer you a nice, comfortable place to stay on your travels.

Above and beyond
Everything was easy. Jim and his wife were friendly and accommodating. When the weather started turning cold (too cold for me), they provided a space heater. When my car needed a repair, they offered a ride to the mechanic. Whether home or away, they were always available and super kind!
This was a wonderful place to stay in the Olathe area. Jim is an excellent host who was easy to communicate with. We can't say enough great things about how they had literally "thought of everything" in terms of stocking the space from the food to the personal items to the equipment. We felt very much at home! Thanks for a fabulous experience. We hope to stay with you again.
Great girls weekend
We really loved this location! It was close to all the “teacher” stores we visit and was a wonderful place to stay! All the extra snacks, food and drinks were amazing!! We plan to return again soon!!
Jim and his wife Kim were so kind and accommodating. They really went above and beyond providing a quiet, restful, and enjoyable atmosphere. I really loved their seletion of "breakfast" choices and the bed was so very comfortable. If I go back that way, I will definitely stay again!
Great Weekend Getaway
It was a great weekend stay! Jim and Kim were very hospitable and friendly, the basement was clean and had every amenity we could’ve wanted, and it’s very affordable. I would highly recommend it!
Wonderful Place to Stay
The property was immaculate, I had everything I could have needed! My hosts were so kind and helpful, if I needed anything all I had to do was ask. Off street parking was a plus since I am disabled. The location is absolutely perfect! I would stay there again in a heartbeat!
There are many places to see. One of the top ones would be the World War 1 Museum. Even if you aren't a history buff, this is one of the finest in all the country and will no doubt leave you with a sense of the magnitude of this event. Another great place is the Steamboat Arabia Museum. This exhibit was unearthed north of Kansas City where the Missouri River used to channel. They've done a fantastic job of preserving the cargo and telling the story of the early years of shipping by boat. If you're into the arts, the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Arts and the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts are a must see. Tours are available for the KCPA, but schedule ahead of time. Tours are available for the Boulevard Brewing Company. You have to show up in person to reserve a tour. If you're in to pro sports, the venues of Arrowhead and Kauffman stadiums are wonderful. Many other activities, such as Science City at Union Station, the Country Club Plaza, the Kansas City Zoo, various casinos, the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, etc. are all within 30-45 minutes.
