About Chris Vest
Jenny and I (Chris) are happily engaged and live in Richmond, KY. I typically spend a night or two a week in our cabin because is still work just down the road in Frankfort, KY. We are both very familiar with the area and all it has to offer visitors. We welcome you as our guests and are sure you will enjoy your stay at our little piece of heaven.
Chris Vest purchased this Cabin in 2015
Why Chris Vest chose Lawrenceburg
This property is tucked away just outside of city limits in Lawrenceburg, KY. It is technically in the county and only a couple of minutes to downtown. The rolling hills that surround this property provide breathtaking views and sunsets. The area is often visited by the local wildlife such as deer, turkey, Canadian geese, etc. We grow a garden for the local Farmers market during the warmer months, and depending on the time of year, the garden will be open for our guests to enjoy.
What makes this Cabin unique
Our cabin is situated on the bourbon trail on a quiet and peaceful piece of land for you to stretch out and enjoy all nature has to offer.

Fall 2019 anniversary trip
This is our 2nd time staying. We really enjoy the peaceful & relaxing setting. It's also a great location for everything we like to do while we're around Lexington.
Adorable and welcoming home
This home was absolutely adorable. It was welcoming and relaxing. The only thing that was a bummer was the fireplace wasn't working. Nothing major though and we had a great time.
We are glad to hear you all had a great time and found our cabin very relaxing. The fireplace is hooked up and in working order, but we had not turned the gas back on due to drought like conditions and 90+ degrees in early October. Sorry for any inconveniences this caused you all during your stay.
Excellent location for hitting the wine trail. Very clean and just like the posted pictures.
Peace and quiet
Being on Chris’ property provided much needed relaxation. It was peaceful with only the sounds of nature. Such a great retreat from the hustle of everyday life
A nice place
We rented the cabin for a couple days on our way to Chattanooga, so we could visit a couple places on the bourbon trail. Like the previous review, we wondered what we got ourselves into as we headed down the street. But, the area is very quiet. I think we only heard one loud diesel pickup go by while we were there. The cabin is nice and super quiet. My wife said the bed was pretty comfortable and she is pretty picky about beds. Had two bathrooms, which was nice for getting ready in the morning. There was only two of us, so there was more than enough room. The tv is a smart tv, so you get Netflix and Hulu, among other things. There was a lot of drinks in the fridge and various snacks in the kitchen. It kind of reminded us of an old farmhouse we lived in when we were first married. We’d visit again.
Little Green Cabin is a gem
Our stay at the Little Green Cabin was truly an awesome experience. When we first pulled up, we were not impressed. However, when we opened the door and stepped inside, wow, just wow! The home is spotless and well appointed. The amenities are awesome. We especially enjoyed the snacks and refreshments that were provided. There is no cable or satellite for the tv, only local channels are available and reception is not that good. But who goes on vacation to watch tv anyway? Tons of dvd movies are available however. We watched a couple. We couldn’t find a toaster, but we ate most of our meals out anyway. The home was centrally located for the activities that we had planned. If you are planning on spending some time in the bluegrass country, we absolutely recommend using this beautiful home as a base for your operations. You definitely will not be sorry you did! Thank you Vest family for sharing your awesome home with us. If we ever plan to return, we will be looking you up!
