Comfortable, warm, lovely view.
Our family's first visit to Sugarbush. We loved the apartment. It's rare to find a ski condo that has not been completely updated with, in our experience, very often featurless and impersonal furnishings. The living area is spacious and light filled with a gas fireplace and lovely views of woods and mountains. We had everything we needed and will be certain to return. It has an old world charm which we really appreciated.
Family Ski weekend
We had a wonderful time skiing. Condo is convenient to the lifts of Mt Ellen. Pierre was very responsive to our questions during our stay. We would go back again. Clean and neat. Very quiet.
Quiet location out of the fray
Had great time. 5 minutes walk up to mt ellen lodge even in snow storm. Easier to get liftickets and quieter skiing then can take bus easily to Lincoln peak.
great view out kitchen windows, great beds, everything you needed in kitchen , wifi and Netflix , games and books for distraction
Comfortable and Convenient
We spent a week at the condo over the Christmas Holiday. There were 5 of us, 2 adults and our young adult/teen children. The condo is bigger than the photos appear-there was plenty of room for all of us to spread out and have some privacy as well as together time. The furniture was comfortable, and the condo was clean. The kitchen was easy to cook in, and had many dishes, pots, pans and even some spices, tea, sugar and olive oil. There were also plenty of cleaning supplies and trash bags.We enjoyed eating at and then playing family games at the large dining table.
It was easy to heat the condo and being on the top floor, it was quiet despite squeaky floors. The gas fireplace was a really nice feature, and the 2 full baths were very helpful with 5 guests staying. The view was beautiful, and having the Mt Ellen slopes within walking distance(or skiing back in the afternoon) was extremely convenient, because tired skiers didn't have to wait for a ride, and we only had 1 car!
The skiers were very pleased with the variety of terrain and lack of crowds at the two mountains. My husband and I enjoyed cross country skiing nearby. There were also good grocery stores and many restaurants as well as a movie theater within a few miles.
I would absolutely stay again.
Great place to ski
Our family of four had a great ski vacation. It is the best ski resort we have been on the east cost. The propriety is at walking distance from the Sugarbush Mount Ellen lifts, which in my opinion are more interesting and less crowded than the Lincoln peak slopes (I grew up skining in the Swiss alps 2x per week). Well equipped kitchen, nicely decorated, great bedding, fantastic movie collection, fire place with as much wood as you would like. It felt like being at home. Anne and Pierre are very responsive, and pleasant. We will come back.
Great location and fireplace!
My wife and I spent MLK weekend in this condo for her birthday. We *LOVED* the fireplace and comfy atmosphere of the condo.
Anne was very responsive and helpful throughout the process. If/when we return to Sugarbush we'll probably see if this same condo is available.
The floors are a bit creaky but the condo is in great shape. Also, you're on the top floor... so the creakiness is no biggie. :)
We had good enough conditions on one of the days to actually ski all the way back to the front of the complex. Getting to the lifts wasn't really difficult either. It's certainly walking distance and I tried it once but I was pretty tired once I got there (carrying boot bag, etc). It worked out well to drop the wife off with the skis and boots then either park (if a close spot was open) or go back to the condo and walk up unladen.
Thank you. We are glad you had a good time. Most Snowsiders walk to the lifts wearing their ski boots and carrying the skies only. We are really no further to the lifts than some sections of the parking lot for Mount Ellen. But a ride to the door is always welcome, no matter where you are. Great season this year!
