In late September 2018, we purchased this special home on a quiet Tahoe Donner street -- a home designed for gatherings of family and friends. Heartock II is nestled amidst pine trees and backs up to a greenbelt for added quiet and privacy. The house sleeps up to 12 persons with four bedrooms and a loft with a queen-size futon. The home appeals to discerning guests who look for top notch comfort and relaxation. The previous owner had the property listed on VRBO as well -- the reviews shown are from visits prior to our ownership, but we intend to maintain the home just as lovingly as the previous owners.
In addition to the master bedroom, and two additional guest rooms (one with it's own full bath), there is a 400 sq. foot four-bed dorm room with a flat-screen TV/Blu Ray DVD and a hand shuffleboard table for kids and teens.
All bedrooms are beautifully appointed, from linens and comforters, to towels and hair blowers. Tumbled marble and travertine are used in the baths and the master bath features a jetted tub with forest view.
The great room has vaulted ceilings, a magnificent two-story granite stone fireplace and windows facing the forest.
The dining area table seats eight to ten persons with three additional barstools at the kitchen counter. Sliding doors open out to the second story deck, perfect for barbecuing and outdoor dining.
In the kitchen, cherry hardwood floors and cabinets, granite countertops and stainless appliances set the tone for this perfect entertainment space. The kitchen has a great collection of quality glassware, plates, cookware and utensils.
Beautifully landscaped backyard (hard to find in Tahoe Donner) features a safe and easy gas fire pit and 16-foot diameter stone patio with comfortable seating for six. A nice lawn expanse, horseshoe pit and croquet/corn hole sets help ensure the backyard will be a welcome hangout in the spring, summer and fall .
