Mattinata - Historical house finely restored just a few km from the sea

In the heart of the Gargano in Mattinata, a beautiful historic 19th century house finely restored.
The house is on several levels: a ground floor with kitchen and dining area, living room with double sofa bed and bathroom; mezzanine with double bedroom; downstairs with two bedrooms and a bathroom. From this year a furnished terrace overlooking the sea and Gargano.
The house is equipped with air conditioning, TV, washing machine, oven and stove with 4 burners, electric oven, refrigerator, coffee maker.

It is possible to add up to two cribs for an additional cost of € 10 per night for a cot.

The house is located in a quiet area, 2 minutes walk from the center of Mattinata with supermarkets, bars and restaurants, bakeries, bank, etc.
5 minutes by car from the beaches with white pebble beaches.
It is possible, upon request, agreement with beaches, bars, clubs and restaurants in the area.
Distant within 40 km from centers of interest such as Vieste, San Giovanni Rotondo, Umbra Forest, Monte Sant'Angelo, Monte Saraceno, etc.

A beautiful house in a lovely town in a wonderful region.

My wife and I and our two friends stayed here for 3 nights in mid-June. The house has been beautifully and creatively restored, with fine craftsmanship and attention to detail. With a loft sleeping area above, and queen bedroom plus trundle-beds room below -- each level with its own bathroom -- it's perfect for a family or group like ours for whom a cozy arrangement works. The kitchen is well-equipped and there are convenient grocery options. The place is in a quiet neighborhood toward the lower end of this steep hillside town, with friendly neighbors but plenty of privacy. Lia was great to work with at every step of the way. She and her family gave us a warm welcome, and any questions were quickly addressed. (When we needed new batteries for the AC, our email promptly brought a visit from an English-speaking neighbor who fixed us up; she then helped arrange the delivery of our friends' lost luggage that night!) Mattinata is a maze of narrow, winding streets, often connected by steps going from one level to the next, with lots of shops and restaurants. (Jalant is a wonderful place for dinner, just around the corner from the house.) Don't miss the evening stroll, especially weekends, when it seems like everyone in town is out walking and socializing. The Gargano region of Puglia is stunning and varied and has much to explore; we wished we had more time there than the 3 days we did. When we return, we will definitely try to book this property again!

Haus mit Flair und cooler Dachterrasse

Das Haus ist sehr gut gelegen, da das meiste zu Fuß erledigt werden kann. Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt, allerdings gibt es keine wirklich abgetrennten Räume, da alles zwar auf verschiedenen Ebenen, aber nicht wirklich mit Türen abgetrennt ist. Dass es kein WLan gibt, war für unsere jugendlichen Kinder erst einmal ein Schock, stellte sich aber als gute Erfahrung heraus. Sehr cool ist die Dachterrasse, zu der man über ein Dachfenster gelangt, durch das man krabbeln muss. Insgesamt hat das charmante Haus viele Treppen! Die Küche ist sehr gut eingerichtet, auch der Check-in verlief ohne Probleme. Um die Ecke ist ein sehr sehr leckeres Restaurant (Jalant), in dem wir jeden Abend günstig und nett gegessen haben. Der Limoncello ist hausgemacht. Dass das untere Bad kaputt war, war ärgerlich, es wurde aber am letzten Tag repariert.

Ottima casa a Mattinata

Siamo una famiglia con 4 figli, abbiamo affittato la graziosa casa a Mattinata per due settimane tra Luglio e Agosto 2021. Lia é stata il nostro contatto iniziale, Giampiero ci ha accolto con simpatia, competenza e pronta disponibilità per ogni informazione durante tutta la vacanza. La casa é molto graziosa, fornita di tutto quello che serve per sentirsi a proprio agio e corrispondente alla descrizione: impianto di aria condizionata efficiente su entrambi i piani, cucina ampia ed equipaggiata, televisione moderna e funzionante, lavatrice di proprietà, camere comode, arredamento moderno e ben curato, terrazza panoramica con ombrellone e arredamento per esterno, facilità di parcheggio a pochi metri. Le utenze sono incluse, così come la biancheria per i letti e per i bagni. La casa si trova nella parte più caratteristica del paese a breve distanza dai negozi e ristoranti, gli abitanti sono accoglienti e disponibili. La spiaggia di Mattinata é distante circa 20/30 min a piedi ma con l'auto si possono visitare a 10/20 minuti le altre famose spiagge tra Mattinata e Vieste. Segnaliamo anche la bella passeggiata per raggiungere la necropoli di Monte Saraceno, la salita a Monte Sacro, il paese di Monte Sant'Angelo e la fresca foresta umbra. Consigliamo caldamente questo alloggio.

Very nice ancient town house

The ancient house is very nicely renovated and styled with care. It has enough space and is only a few steps from the town center where there are several excellent restaurants. It’s especially nice during the evenings when everyone is doing the passeggiata. The coast near Mattinata is very beautiful and best explored by boat. Lia and Marta were exceptionally helpful with the check-in as well as with lots of recommendations for restaurants and activities. Highly recommended.

Great place to stay in Mattinata

We stay for a week in this original and confortable house with 3 of our teenagers. The house is ideally positioned in the city, everything can be done by foot easily. The beaches are 10 min away by car. Giampiero and Lia were very kind and provided us some informations and directions on the area and city.
