We reside in Ohio, and love the Tennessee area, it is somewhere we can go to relax and take our 4 children. My husband is a Funeral Director and I am a Realtor. We have owned our property since 2006.

WENDY COURTAD purchased this cabin in 2006

Why WENDY COURTAD chose Gatlinburg

The reason we chose to buy a property in Gatlinburg is because we love the area and it is a short half days drive from where we live. We can take our family there for long weekends and summer vacations.

What makes this cabin unique

Our cabin is unique in the fact that we provide alot of things others don't for example laundry detergent, dish detergent, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and some basic kitchen necessities like spices and flour, things not everyone wants to stop and buy before coming. We want everyone to just throw some clothes in a bag and come enjoy w/out all the stress of remembering everything.

Family Vacation

  • 5 of 5

We had a very enjoyable time staying in this beautiful cabin.. (home). Roomy, clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed spending our evenings cooking our own dinners and playing board games on the deck... We might come back some day during a different time of year to enjoy the fireplace... Highly recommend.

This cabin is located in a quiet scenic location with a beautiful view that is easily accessible.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin is beautifully decorated and very homey! It was very clean and everything was in great working order. The location seemed very private but close enough to town that it only took a few minutes to get there. The owners were pleasant to work with and always replied quickly to my emails. If you're looking for a nice quiet getaway that still feels like home rather than a hotel, this is the place! The entire experience from the time we expressed interest to the time we left for home was one of the easiest and most relaxed we've ever had. I would give more stars if possible.

Wonderful Week

  • 5 of 5

My family and I just returned from a week at the cabin. We had a wonderful experience. It is an older cabin but very well kept up and updated. We had myself, our three children, and my in-laws staying. The two children took the room with bunk beds, the in-laws used the smaller room, and my husband and I had the master with the air mattress on the floor for the youngest. (The air mattress worked great.) We liked that all three bedrooms are on the upper floor. We also cooked most meals in the kitchen. It had plenty of pantry space and everything you would need to cook a nice meal. The hot tub was also a hit after hiking. And the views from the back porch are fantastic. Good WiFi and laundry machine as well. Wendy (the owner) was very easy to communicate and work with. We are already planning on booking it again for next year.

Great Stay

  • 5 of 5

We stayed 4 nights, and loved everything about this cabin. We have stayed at probably 10-15 chalets in the Ski Mnt/Chalet Village area through the years, and only wish we had found this chalet much sooner! It had a great view, especially for being relatively low on Ski Mnt. Family of 5, and the bedroom/bathroom layout was perfect. Loved the big table in the dining area, as we played board games in the evenings - well lit and plenty of room. Kitchen well supplied with dishes/utensils/pots and pans. Living room area was excellent - 2 large sofas with ample seating. Fireplace was well stocked with wood (even though we ended up not using it). Large deck which we ended up not using too much as weather was unusually cold while we were there. However, after hiking for 3 days in the park, the hot tub was put to good use by me and the kids after each hike. Maybe 15 steps down from the parking area - not necessarily steep, and had several landings and a railing so didn't feel unsafe at all - but just wanted to point it out. Personally, I loved the entrance and how it was set off from the road.

Every interaction we had with the owner (Wendy) was professional, cordial and helpful. She was easy to work with, and very quick to reply. All the photos in the listing are very accurate.

Great Place to stay with views and quiet.

  • 5 of 5

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is a short distance from the hustle and bustle of downtown Gatlinburg. Steep hills with ample of road parking. Walk down to the house which was really nice. Everything worked well, but the smoke detector was located too close to the kitchen which caused it to "alert" when the oven door was opened. Great views and nice to eat outside on the deck or inside at the large table. Fireplace worked well to warm the living room during the cool evenings.

Best View Yet

  • 5 of 5

We've been coming to gatlinburg for a few years now and this cabin has the best view yet. We spent the majority of one day just hanging out on the spacious deck. The bedding was really nice and the showers are huge and have great water pressure. The owner had supplied everything I needed to cook a full meal. Great location. They supply plenty of cut wood for the fireplace! Awesome.
