Wake up to an ocean view! Set on 3 acres of woodland with conservation land on two sides, this secluded, 5-bedroom, 4-bath house is a perfect getaway for multiple families, generations, or group retreats. Stroll five minutes on wooded path to our neighborhood association-owned beach for swimming, sunning or boating.
This is a great location for families that want to 'get away from it all.' Lounge on our brick patio while watching egrets swoop over Buzzard’s bay. Shopping centers, restaurants and Water Wiz! park short hop on route 6, and an easy drive to National Seashore Beaches, Plimoth Plantation and all Cape Cod attractions.
Give your kids (and yourself) a chance to relax, explore tidepools, boat, or swim on beautiful Buzzard's Bay, just 40 minutes from Boston. This house is not just a 'rental property' - it is our family's vacation home. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do!
Two Complete Kitchens + Outdoor dining: Full Kitchen: 'Summer' and 'Winter' wings each have full kitchen: great for multi-generations, breakfast kitchen, or two families. There is a gas grill and brick patio with table and chairs for outdoor dining.
Private Association Area: The house is in a private (non-gated) association area with a shared private beach, never crowded, a three minute walk from the house. Two kayaks are available for tenants use at their own risk.
The 3 acres site is bounded on two sides by conservation land, and neighbors are hidden by trees. There are nature trails for birding and walking, and a common large open field for games, kites, frisbee, etc.
Family vacation location since 1952. House built in 1956, expanded in 1960, addition in 1981, renovation and addition in 2008.
We visited at the worst time possible. There were three terrible storms in a row! The first one took out trees and trapped us in the yard, on the road the house is on AND the main road that leads to it. David and Ricky sent someone out to clear the driveway right away. When the electricity went out in the entire town the offered to help with a hotel room to allow us a warm night and a hot shower. And the winter apartment is so cozy!(when the electricity is working!) The kitchen is excellent to work in. I had my grandchildren over for pizza. I managed to make 10 pizzas, two at a time, with relatively no difficulties. That's more than I can do in my kitchen at home. And the washer and dryer were really appreciated, as was the dishwasher. This is a great rental, with two great guys behind it.
My husband, daughter, and I stayed in the winter apartment for our Thanksgiving getaway. We were super cozy and enjoyed all of the amenities to prepare our holiday meal. We were able to walk through the backyard down to the beach. Bundled up, we enjoyed the morning walking on the beach before retreating back to the house to begin to make the Thanksgiving meal. Absolutely perfect. Easily drove onto the Cape for dinner one night and then to Plymouth another day for sight seeing. Would absolutely stay again!
We enjoyed our stay at the winterized portion of the beach house. There is a path that leads to a private beach where we took a walk and collected shells. Overall, the place had everything we needed and the pellet stove made it very cozy.
Great place to stay! Would love to come back during the summer months to
enjoy the great water view and beach. We had a wonderful too short of a time....
This was my first experience with HomeAway and I have to say, I couldn’t have asked for a more pleasant experience. Great and accurate communication from the owners made the process smooth and enjoyable. Once I got here, I couldn’t believe the view. The inside is has a rustic lodge-like feel to it. If you’re looking for luxury, it’s not. If you’re looking for the most adorable, relaxing, welcoming, homey, comfortable weekend of your life, you just found it. Book it now. The beach is gorgeous, the yard is huge, the kitchens are well equipped, and the area is surrounded by trees, so you’ll feel completely private and secluded.
My only real constructive feedback is that I wish it was landscaped a little better. It would really elevate the aesthetics of the outside of the house if everything was a little more neatly groomed, weeded, maybe some flowers, and grass kept neat.
I can’t say enough great things about this place, otherwise. I loved it. Highly recommend it, and can’t wait to go back.
Beds were plentiful and comfortable, kitchens well stocked, the view was AMAZING. Easy and super short walk to the beach, just perfect!
Cape Cod area, day trips to National Seashore and all area attractions.
The immediate neighborhood of the house is almost rural, houses surrounded by trees, and a private association beach a three minute walk. Easy and safe biking on the area roads, nature trails, and a short drive to supermarkets and other convenience shopping.
