Welcome to our Sun Valley home! The house features a reverse floor plan to maximize high ceilings, exposed beams and beautiful mountain views upstairs in the living room, dining room, and kitchen. The lower level houses three bedrooms, rec room, bonus room, laundry, and heated garage. The house wraps around an outdoor patio which hosts a five man hot tub and a spectacular outdoor fireplace.
Our house is ideally located in a nice neighborhood near the Wood River, and at the base of Baldy between River Run and Warm Springs. The free shuttle service is a 200 yard walk and downtown Ketchum is a half mile away. Nearby there is a public trail leading through an aspen grove to the Wood River. Guy Cole Skateboard Park, paved walking and bike paths, and the Wood River YMCA are all within a 5 minute walk.
The house was designed by local architect Mark Pynn and built by Rick Walsworth, and won the 2012 Idaho AIA award for 'best use of wood'.

About Rob Wright
We reside in Seattle, Washington with our three children. We love spending time in the outdoors and staying active, including skiing, cycling, hiking, and boating.
Rob Wright purchased this House in 2007
Why Rob Wright chose Ketchum
Sun Valley is like no place in the world. Breathtaking mountains, premier skiing, dry climate (nice escape from Seattle), arts, and wonderful community. We look for every opportunity to enjoy our Ketchum home!
What makes this House unique
Nice quiet area and friendly neighbors. Great location, near town and the YMCA, and the free community bus line. The house is very comfortable with lots of ammenities for kids (bunk room, games, piano keyboard, etc.). The house is a unique design, with craftsman features throughout, and in fact won the 2012 Idaho AIA award for 'best use of wood'.

This house is stunning with it's wood beams and very large and tall windows everywhere letting in beautiful light and affording views of the mountains and trees. The fireplaces were an added bonus and the beds were very comfortable. The neighborhood itself is lovely and is walking distance to Main street Ketchum.
Just a couple of items that I would add if I were the owner: tissue boxes , real bar soap in the bathrooms. But other than that this house is a gem with reasonable rates! I highly recommend staying there!
Beautiful, comfortable, great location in town
Everything was terrific. Loved it. We had 6 adults, 4 kids. Plenty of room. 3 cars. (Fyi, 4 would be overflow which could be complicated in winter. ) Great kids' bunk room. Minor notes: Knives were dull dull. T-stat programmed settings were messed up. Both easy fixes.
Great house and Great location. Thank you!
Great house and Great location. Thank you!
Great house, close to everything.
The house is beautiful and well-appointed, with a large dining area, roomy kitchen and nice TV (with Sonos) and fireplace area. On the ground floor are three spacious bedrooms, including a nice MBR suite, a second TV room with bunks for kids, and a hot tub outside. Bonus is location — a short drive to town and a 5 minute walk to fly fishing.
Well Designed, Fun Place to Stay!
This is a great property to book if you plan on staying in the Sun Valley/Ketchum area. Rob was great to work with, let our family check in early, and the house was well represented by the pictures. We enjoyed a great Thanksgiving week holiday with a total of eight in our party. Even though there are only two full bathrooms, we still managed just fine.
The kitchen was well stocked and the Jacuzzi with the outdoor fireplace was the perfect place to end our evenings with a glass of wine. The kids room on the lower level had a large TV which was perfect for our 2 teens to chill and have their own space. The upstairs TV allowed the adults to have our own experience next to the crackling fire which was a bonus!
Overall, a great stay and a great experience. Our family would highly recommend this property!
Comfortable and spacious home
We were in town for our mom's 80th birthday party, and stayed in the house for three nights and had 2 large meals for the extended family. The dining room/living room area comfortably seated all of us and the architecture and woodwork was something we all enjoyed and admired. Probably one of our favorite features was the large fireplace, we had several fires and were very cozy and it was conducive to relaxed, intimate conversations. The home is in a great neighborhood. It was fun to drive through and see some of the interesting new homes being built. Definitely recommend this as a place to stay in Ketchum!
