Wonderful Ski-in/Ski-out Condo
This condo and the facility is everything we could have asked for. The unit comfortably slept 5 adults and 4 children. One adult and an infant shared one of the bunk beds rather than use the fold out bed in the living room; all were very happy . The unit is right in the base area with restaurants, ski rentals and a pizza/ice cream place right outside the door.. The lodge has two hot tubs and a heated pool the kids loved. The lodge also had a game room with video games, pool table, etc. Also a great bonus was the movie room where we watched a kids movie in very comfortable seats with a theater-sized screen and quality sound. The lifts are just a short walk and there are ski lockers in the building. Three of the 4 kids we in ski school located a short 2 minute shuttle ride away and we could ski back to the unit from the lift the ski school.
Solitude is one of the smaller resorts but perfect for a family with good mix of beginner, intermediate and advanced runs. Everyone found something that fit their skiing (or boarding) level. There are also other resorts very close and deals on lift tickets that can be used at multiple resorts. We are east coasters and ski out west every year and this was one of our most enjoyable trips
The rental was great. The owner was very accommodating. The unit layout has 3 bedrooms, two with king size beds, and one bunk room. Access to the chair lift is a short walk, very convenient. Kitchen is well equipped with plenty of pans, pots and trays. Basic spices were there although we added to the spice rack. Enjoy!
Fantastic family condo
Our family used this condo for a spring break ski trip for our 3 college aged kids and 2 adults.
Fantastic unit! Lovely view from the corner of Eagle Springs West. Underground parking such a plus. Unit was easy to access from stairs and elevator. Not our first time to Solitude nor Eagle Springs...this unit was awesome!
Nicely decorated, comfy, plenty of space for our daughter, son and a friend to each have their own space (bedrooms and baths)...I and my husband had the 3rd bedroom suite - comfy bed, plenty of space, nice bathroom with hot shower! Loved it after first day of skiing!
We all had a great time- even after I fell, broke a femur and needed emergency treatment/surgery down in Murray at the trauma center! I can certainly give kudos to the Ski Patrol and Paramedics in Big Cottonwood Canyon! Our family continued to ski without me!
Used Liftopia this time to arrange Salt Lake Super Pass - such a breeze. Kids got to Brighton and the fact that you can ski both Solitude and Brighton on same day with Super Pass so nice. Now it's also RFID, so you just stick the card in a coat/pants pocket, zip it up, and forget about it!
I also arranged ski rental in advance with Solitude Snowsport upon the recommendation of condo owner - again easy to navigate and they had everything ready for us upon our arrival.
Solitude is one of my favorites - it's small, cozy, family focused, and so convenient to ski right out of any of the condo buildings straight onto the slopes. Good food at the restaurants, nice clubhouse/hot tub, staff very helpful. The server at the village restaurant was the first person to come to us when I fell! She doubled as a snowboard instructor/server!
Loved this condo - would definitely rent it again! Now, though it will be for summer stay!
We shared this beautiful condo with another family (totaling 9) and had a great time. The skiing is fantastic and we never had to wait in line for a lift. Steps away from the village and lifts, plus everyone at the resort is extremely helpful and friendly. The clubhouse is an added bonus in that we were able to send our kids over to watch movies on the big screen. Excellent location to ski other canyons. We will definitley be back!
This condo is amazing - 2 families totaling 9 stayed for a week. We loved all the comforts of home and then some. Extremely convienient to rent equipment, and the staff was friendly and accomadating. The clubhouse was a great addition. The kids could go watch movies and swim in the heated pool. The skiing was fantastic!! We all had a great time - we will definitely be back next year.
Excellent Family Vacation
We visited for MLK weekend with 2 families and this place was awesome. Very convenient to rentals and very easy access to slopes. Condo was perfect for us; hot tub and other Club Solitude amenities were just right. Excellent location from which to base out of if you're looking to hit Brighton, Snowbird and Alta as well. We got a lot of skiing and fun in over a long weekend. Well be back!
Club Solitude features 2 hot tubs and pool, exercise room, movie media room, game room with pool table and Xbox access.
