About Laurie Sapakoff
We love Lake George and the natural beauty of this area. My family has been coming to here since the 1950's, first camping on the islands every summer. My parents bought the property in 1963, and we spent summers here. Now, in retirement, my husband and I have chosen to make this our permanent home. In 2018, we tore down one of the three cabins on the property and built a modest all season house where we now live with our mixed lab named Callisto. I have a ceramics studio in the house and sell my work at Made in Hague, a shop in the town of Hague, about 6 miles north, where artisans in the area sell crafts. I also sell my work at Ti Arts, a gallery in Ticonderoga, about 15 miles north.

Why Laurie Sapakoff chose Silver Bay
This cabin is about 10 feet from the water. You can hear the waves and look across to the mountains on the other side of the lake. The cabin has been modernized inside, with granite countertops and new appliances in the kitchen, internet and flat screen television. If you are looking for quiet and tranquility, this is the perfect spot. Listen to the loons, paddle a kayak, read a book, sit by a campfire, and find the big dipper in a clear night sky brilliant with stars.
