About The Owner

Welcome to our VRBO site, we are Ryan & Shondra. If you decide to stay with us at Olive Street Lodge we will strive to make your visit an enjoyable one!

The Owner purchased this house in 2007

Why The Owner chose Lake Tahoe North Shore CA

We lived in Lake Tahoe for 2 years and loved it so much that we decided to build a vacation rental property in our favorite location, Carnelian Bay. We spent a year building the cabin and put all our effort into making it the most comfortable and inviting cabin we could. There's nothing better than sitting in the great room on a snowy day in front of the fireplace or grilling on the front deck in summertime!

What makes this house unique

The cabin is within walking distance to great restaurants and beaches, but set back in a very quiet, woodsy neighborhood. When you stay at the cabin, you'll find it's convenient to everything you might want but also has a wonderful feeling of getting away from it all.

Guestbook comments from the owner

"The cabin was perfect for 3 couples, it is so spacious and uncluttered and clean. Your place really stands out among the ski rentals

available out there!"

Beautiful and luxurious home, perfect for a Tahoe getaway

  • 5 of 5

This is a very nice property in excellent shape and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Great area in the back for kids to play in the snow and go sledding. Owners were a pleasure to work with as well. Only minor issue is the tight driveway due to snow, location of the bear box, and the support columns so navigating the driveway & garage area took some time when you have multiple vehicles. Other than that we can't complain!

Excellent Cabin in Tahoe

  • 5 of 5

This is an excellent cabin in North Tahoe/ Carnelian bay. We rented it for a little getaway with family friends. Location is awesome. The property is very close to all ski resorts - Northstar and Squaw Valley are both under 15 mins drive. Lots of good places to eat near by.

The cabin is overall in great shape. They have high-end appliances in the kitchen and all bedrooms & bathrooms are in excellent shape.

We had 5 toddler age kids with us and there is enough room for all of them to run around and play. They do provide 1 child gate for the stairs going down the garage (good job on that!)

Overall very nice place, everyone in our group had only good things to say about the cabin after the vacation.

Great house in quiet area

  • 5 of 5

Beautiful log cabin/house with plenty of room for our large family. Very modern clean house with many upgrades. Quiet setting near National Forest and Carnelian Bay for hiking, swimming, boating etc.

We spent 3 weeks here and felt we were home. Shondra (the owner) was very responsive when we had any concerns/requests. The stay and house were perfect. Thank you!

exceptional!

  • 5 of 5

This is an amazing house. We really enjoy our stays here. We had issues with cable this time and Shondra went above and beyond to get the problem fixed. We like this place because it is so close to everything and the house itself is very comfy. The ski resorts are not that long of a drive away and the lake is practically across the street.

Thank you Shondra.

Great Home Away From Home

  • 5 of 5

The owners are very responsive and is great to deal with. The house is really beautiful, just as described on the listing. The kids loved the loft upstairs.Well maintained and well designed. Perfect for winter or summer stays.

The kids were able to sled in the backyard, even with the little remaining snow. Would highly recommend this property.

Wonderful memories

  • 5 of 5

Shondra was very easy to work with. Very timely with our cleaning deposit refund. Now the good stuff...we have six kids and vacations are very hard. Our kids are young and this was our first real family vacation together. The kids thought they were in heaven in this beautiful cabin. There was a track in the back of the house that the kids could slide down on their little sleds. They would spend HOURS out there. It was a beautiful weekend for us as parents to see our babies so happy. Thank you Shondrs for sharing your beautiful home for us to make such special memories that neither our kids or us will ever forget. We will be back!!
