About Gordon Hathway
We are an Anglo-Norwegian couple with many years experience of renting self-catering accommodation, both as owners in the UK and as agents for holiday homes abroad. Our daughter lives and works in Cheltenham so we often use the apartment ourselves.
Gordon Hathway purchased this Apartment in 2014
Why Gordon Hathway chose Cheltenham
We fell in love with Cheltenham at first sight, especially the spacious streets, hundreds of beautiful old buildings and many parks, plus easy access to the surrounding countryside. Our apartment is a 'home away from home' offering modern standards in an elegant old building, just a few minutes away from all the attractions and amenities of central Cheltenham.
What makes this Apartment unique
The apartment is an area of elegant Georgian villas, just moments away from the town centre yet in very peaceful surroundings. The proximity of numerous offices and in particular Cheltenham Ladies College make it ideal for a very wide variety of guests.

Great apartment. Great location. Great restaurants.
Immaculate Flat in Excellent Location
As a small family group we were able to enjoy self-catering for Christmas week. The accommodation was comfortable, attractively decorated, bright and warm with a well-equipped kitchen area, easy access on foot to shops (Waitrose 10 minutes walk) and town centre. Nearby The Wilson Art Gallery and Museum has an excellent Arts and Crafts collection. There are plenty of walks in the Cotswolds and picturesque towns/villages in the vicinity.
The owner was very prompt in responding to any queries and clear instructions are provided regarding access, parking and the stay. The dishwasher was a boon although I did do a google search to check the instructions - there is a folder with manuals so I may have overlooked them.
High standard apartment in quiet location, but minutes walk from promenade, shops etc.
The flat is exceptionally clean and well equipped; the decor tastefully modern. It has a light, airy feel, despite being in an elegant Georgian building. The beds are supremely comfortable and the only thing that challenged a good night’s sleep were the seagulls! Arrival and departure times are negotiable with the owner, which was helpful as my cousin and I were travelling by train from different directions. The location was ideal for us, just a short walk to the bus station, shops, restaurants, parks and other places of interest. I rated it 4 stars out of 5 for the following reasons: the keypad to access the building is missing numbers and letters; the information folder for the flat was hidden away and only came to light when the owner asked us to find something that needed collecting; the amount of towels supplied were insufficient for the week, although admittedly we were able to use the washing machine to resolve this, and finally, a few food staples, even a pint of milk in the fridge would have been welcome after our journeys. However, apart from these few gripes, we very much enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend this apartment for its proximity to the Cotswolds, as well as enjoying the delights of Cheltenham.
Nice, clean, convenient location
A comfortable place, nicely furnished with character and very convenient to centre of town, restaurants, shops etc
Lovely apartment in a perfect location.
I was really good, the house was quiet, very clean and everything worked perfettamente.a few meters you can easily reach all points of interest
Located close to the centre of this beautiful spa town with its many parks and elegant buildings. In a quiet spot with wide, tree-lined streets, yet just a few minutes walk from the central shopping area and fashionable Montpellier with its many bars and restaurants. The boutique 'Hotel Du Vin' is across the road and the main entrance to Cheltenham Ladies College is just 100m away. Ideal location for families visiting students, business stays and as a base for exploring the Cotswolds.
