About Peter Westerberg
We are a Swedish couple living permanently in Sainte-Maxime since 2008, though we have been visiting France and Sainte-Maxime since 1987. We would love to welcome visitors who appreciate the French culture looking for a lovely and comfortable stay in friendly Sainte-Maxime and we will be happy to suggest our favorite restaurants, day trips etc. to give you the best possible vacation. We live just 5 minutes by car from the apartment and we are always easy to reach by phone or e-mail, should you need any assistance.
Why Peter Westerberg chose Sainte-Maxime
There are not many apartments like this one (if any?) in Sainte-Maxime, with this quiet location, sea view, standard and comfort. If you like, you can rent the apartment next door as well, offering the same standard and comfort.

Ste Maxime Flat
Excellent flat , close to centre, quiet, secure and well equipped with excellent views over the Gulf of St. Tropez. We would definitely consider returning.
Very well equipet, nice balcony. Great large appartment. 10 min walk too city center is good for your helth.
Sorry the warm water is a bit unstable espacially in the evening.
Want to come back again.
We enjoyed the super view and the apartment was furnished and equipped to a high standard.
Well positioned flat with beautiful views
We enjoyed our two week stay in this immaculate, spacious and well equipped apartment.
The benefits are: easy 7 minute walk into town and beautiful views across the bay of St Tropez.
Thank you Peter.
Peter has really thought about all the fixtures and fittings, everything is not only very high quality, but everything you need is catered for.
The views over the bay are fabulous and with the two electric awnings over the large balcony you can sit out any time and enjoy.
Its a busy harbour but not noisy and near enough to the main town areas to be a pleasurable stroll for either shopping or eating.
Quick boat trip to St Tropez, who could ask for more!
We were both very happy with the area, the apartment and all the facilities,
very well done peter

Enjoy the Mediterranean cuisine in one of the many cosy restaurants, perhaps La Badiane in the old town of Sainte-Maxime (16/20 points in the Gault & Millau Guide) or visit one of the rare Michelin three starred restaurants of France - La Vague d´Or in Saint-Tropez (young Chef Arnaud Donckele).
There is a convenient boat shuttle (Les Bateaux Verts) between the two towns that takes 15 minutes, every 20 minutes in the summer.
If you enjoy cooking yourself our apartment is very well equipped for that purpose and every thursday there is the traditional, provencal Market Day in the old town centre of Sainte-Maxime, where you also find the covered market that is open daily.
Near the harbour the local fishermen sell their catch every morning.
Our part of France, Le Sud, is of course well known for the sea and the sun and the apartment is located just a few minutes walk from the nearest little beach, La Madrague, or you can go by car or local bus (5 min) to the splendid La Nartelle with its fine beach restaurants. There you can hire sun loungers, parasols and if you like, surfboards, jet-skis or if you dare, try parachute flying.
There is also a well-kept beach in the old town center with beach restaurants etc.
If you play golf, there are many nice golf courses nearby, the challenging Blue Green Sainte-Maxime or the old Golf Club de Beauvallon (5 km), and a little further away Saint Endréol Golf & Spa (28 km) or Golf de Barbaroux in Brignoles (65 km).
For tennis players there are 3 courts just 450 meters from the apartment.
The small, medieval hilltop villages/ towns near Sainte-Maxime, like Grimaud, La Garde-Freinet, Gassin, or Ramatuelle with its famous Pampelonne beach are all well worth a visit and when going there you will pass beautiful vineyards, many of them offering wine tasting of the top quality rosé wine in the modern style that the region is famous for.
In Sainte-Maxime there are a variety of attractions all year , eg. the Mimosa festival in February, the Harley Davidson Euro Festival in May, the Fête Votive in May, The 14 of July and the Free Flight World Masters in October and the Rallye du Var in late November, to name but a few.
Most days during summer there are concerts or shows at the open-air theatre by the sea in the old town center, many of them admission free.
Add to that all the different events and festivities in nearby Saint-Tropez such as the sailing regattas (e.g the Voiles Latines with old, traditional boats from around the Mediterranean in late May, the Giraglia Rolex Cup in June and Les Voiles de Saint-Tropez with both classic and modern yacht races during the last week of September). Sometimes the boats sails just in front of the apartment!
La Bravade in mid May is a unique and spectacular, more than 450 years old, tradition in remembrance of the towns glorious military past and to the honour of the patron saint, Saint-Tropez.
If you are interested in art there is a fine little museum (L´Annonciade) with works by Signac, Matisse, Braque and many more of the artists that came to Saint-Tropez for the beautiful light.
Should you like to do some shopping the posh boutiques and stores of world famous designers like Chanel, Dior, Fendi, Dolce and Gabbana, Louis Vuitton and Miu Miu or hip Tropezian boutiques are there to cater for all your needs.
If you want to go farther there is Les Gorges du Verdon (largest Canyons outside the US, 78 kilometers), the lovely art museums near Antibes (eg Picasso, Fondation Maeght, 69 kilometers) and much more or why not go on a day trip by boat from the Sainte-Maxime harbour to the small beautiful islands of Porquerolles and Port-Cros.
