MONTI location. A good service for helping you in all the questions and wishes. A best location in Rome Centrum: easy to move, all the bus and the tubes you wish are around the apartment. Possibility to visit the Centrum of Rome and returning at home only walking. Easy arrival and departs without taxi, tube, buses. The Central Station-Stazione Termini, arrival point from all the destinations, it is 10 minutes walking near. The best view of Rome and the more silent apartment in the center. A magnificent and safe climate for the location of the apartment. No humidity, stagnant air, noise of air conditioning machines, street noise. Healthy and perfect climate because the apartment is located in the highest part of Rome's highest hill: MONTI.

Great location in Rome

  • 4 of 5

Assini's apartment is about a 15 min walk from the train station. It is located on a quiet street. It is on the top floor, but there is an elevator. Assini and Maria met us and showed us the apartment and how to work things. It is quite large with 2 bedrooms, kitchen, sitting room, bathroom. It is a bit dated, but fully functional and met all our needs. It was nice to able to make breakfast in our own place. The view out one of the windows is onto the oldest Catholic church in Rome (quite a claim!). The location of this property is EXCELLENT. 10 min walk to the colosseum, 10 min to the metro station, walkable to Trevi fountain, Pantheon, Spanish steps...... and there are 3 or 4 really nice, good quality, reasonably priced restaurants within 30 feet of the front door! There is even a deli about 2 doors down that makes great sandwiches to go. I would highly recommend Assini's property for your stay in Rome.

Nice Neighborhood - Good Value for the Money

  • 4 of 5

Transactions were simple and straightforward. The manager was on time for both check in and check out.The apartment was nice and in a good neighborhood, close to Santa Maria Maggiore. An upgrade in towels would be welcomed or just the addition of fabric softener when laundering would help. Also, the beds only had one sheet each, so you couldn't sleep "between the sheets". The recommendation to eat at La Forchetta d'oro was a good one! Overall, a nice place to stay.

Great location but absent owner

  • 3 of 5

My husband and I and 2 kids (ages 10 and 14) stayed for 5 nights in late May and had a mixed experience. The apartment is in a quiet, safe neighborhood within walking distance of the Termini train station and is as described: sunny, comfortable master bedroom, small room with twin beds (fine for kids), and a small basic kitchen. We lost electricity on the morning after check in and only regained a trickle for the balance of our stay - basically enough for lights but not for cooking or hot showers. The owner lives in Germany for part of the year and was hard to reach. The neighbor Anna went above and beyond to help us but spoke only Italian.

Lovely apartment and perfect location

  • 5 of 5

This apartment is close to the train station and the Colosseum, we were able to walk everywhere. We sent a message ahead of time of our train arrival time and were so happy to find the owner waiting for us at the apartment building. The apartment itself is lovely and my son was happy to find a beautiful piano.

The property was very well located.

  • 3 of 5

My brother and I stayed at the property for 3 nights. The property has an elevator. The property itself was very well located. It was found on a narrow street that did not have a lot of traffic. There was a small grocery store in the corner and a couple of pizza places across the street. The metro station was only about an 8 minute walk and a station away from the Central Terminal. The Colisseum was about a 15 walk. My brother stayed in the room with the double bed and I stayed in the room with the 2 single beds. Neither of the single beds had sheets or pillow cases. I had to search for some in a cabinet and make the bed. On our second night there, I noticed that the my room had tons of ants. They were all over the floor. The restroom looked grimy, the tub looked so dirty and only had a handheld shower. After roaming Rome in the heat all day, a relaxing shower would have made my stay more enjoyable. I actually grabbed a brush and tried to scrub the tub clean but the dirt did not come off. It needs to be professionally cleaned. The home did have everything that we needed as far as kitchen needs. The living area was well furnished. There were two small fans in the apartment. It was in the 100s when we visited and those fans just didn't cut it for me. I know AC is not the norm but a few extra fans could have helped to better circulate air in the rooms. The owner Assia, was very friendly and accommodating although we did not personally meet her. She allowed for our belonging to remain in the apartment until later which helped since we didn't have to catch a train until 6.The man that we dealt with was ok. Overall, there were minor inconveniences but the location and price were right. I think that if they invested a bit in fans and in the bathroom they could have a wonderful home for other to enjoy Rome.

Owner's Response: Thank you Ghyslaine Galindo Reyes, for your review the apartment is now again OK: the bathroom and the tube are perfectly clean, sorry the service persons excused for the bad job in cleaning the tube but din't lose the job! For the many ants or other animals in the payment of your sleeping room, I lived there the week later then you and din't really find any. Are you sure that you saw so many ? Sorry for the bed, but we thought you are a couple. Sorry for asking you if all was OK with the payment and for the questions with money, but I'm obliged to ask you for the usual payment with Home away. Each way of reducing the charges , asking as you did , to pay the second part in Rome, is not fair . See you again Thanks! Assia

Great view, good location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and two kids (11 and 8) stayed at this apartment for 5 nights. We all loved it. The wifi is present and worked quite well. My husband was able to do hours of work at a good speed. There is no AC, but the apartment catches breezes throughout the day. It was hot outside, but pleasant inside. There is an elevator if you don't want to walk up the steps. It's true that Anna, who welcomes you, doesn't speak English. But we found this charming and it all worked out. Between my Spanish and having to listen and watch, it was okay. Don't be afraid. The best part of this apartment is the VIEWS! Everyone spent hours sitting looking at birds wing through the air, listening to the church bells ring, and enjoying this thoroughly Roman neighborhood. The seat by the window in the living room might be your favorite part of your trip!

Be aware that there is no oven, but there is a stove and microwave. But who goes to Rome to cook their own food? Zizzi Pizza down the street is excellent and we ate gelato at Gelateria dell Angeletto about 10 minutes walk away (AMAZING). Stefano, the owner, is so kind and makes ice cream from fresh local ingredients.
