Located in the historical Colosseum, MONTI neighborhood, in the very Heart of Rome. A most unusual place to stay in Rome, with a 'hotel treatment' but at much lower price!

Roman born I find Rome one of the more loved city.
My favorite cities in Italy: Venezia and Napoli. I work with art projects and have written some book. If friends in the apartment have the feeling to be roman people and to stay in the right place in the right moment this is perfect for myself.
I like especially the places nearby Stazione Termini in Rome, I love the Archeological Museum of Piazza dei Cinquecento and the gardens around, Piazza di Spagna very near is the esprit de finesse of all romans, for eating my loved place is in Trastevere.
The city need so many energies that an home place: fine, friendly may offer only quiet times for planing the next adventure day.
in centrum, in a splendid part for beauty, museums, restaurants, elegance.
easy the arrival , walking distance 10 minutes from Stazione Termini.
No stress with bus, taxi, metro
the apartment is a penthouse, splendid view, lift, WiFi
Transactions were simple and straightforward. The manager was on time for both check in and check out.The apartment was nice and in a good neighborhood, close to Santa Maria Maggiore. An upgrade in towels would be welcomed or just the addition of fabric softener when laundering would help. Also, the beds only had one sheet each, so you couldn't sleep "between the sheets". The recommendation to eat at La Forchetta d'oro was a good one! Overall, a nice place to stay.
My husband and I and 2 kids (ages 10 and 14) stayed for 5 nights in late May and had a mixed experience. The apartment is in a quiet, safe neighborhood within walking distance of the Termini train station and is as described: sunny, comfortable master bedroom, small room with twin beds (fine for kids), and a small basic kitchen. We lost electricity on the morning after check in and only regained a trickle for the balance of our stay - basically enough for lights but not for cooking or hot showers. The owner lives in Germany for part of the year and was hard to reach. The neighbor Anna went above and beyond to help us but spoke only Italian.
This apartment is close to the train station and the Colosseum, we were able to walk everywhere. We sent a message ahead of time of our train arrival time and were so happy to find the owner waiting for us at the apartment building. The apartment itself is lovely and my son was happy to find a beautiful piano.
My brother and I stayed at the property for 3 nights. The property has an elevator. The property itself was very well located. It was found on a narrow street that did not have a lot of traffic. There was a small grocery store in the corner and a couple of pizza places across the street. The metro station was only about an 8 minute walk and a station away from the Central Terminal. The Colisseum was about a 15 walk. My brother stayed in the room with the double bed and I stayed in the room with the 2 single beds. Neither of the single beds had sheets or pillow cases. I had to search for some in a cabinet and make the bed. On our second night there, I noticed that the my room had tons of ants. They were all over the floor. The restroom looked grimy, the tub looked so dirty and only had a handheld shower. After roaming Rome in the heat all day, a relaxing shower would have made my stay more enjoyable. I actually grabbed a brush and tried to scrub the tub clean but the dirt did not come off. It needs to be professionally cleaned. The home did have everything that we needed as far as kitchen needs. The living area was well furnished. There were two small fans in the apartment. It was in the 100s when we visited and those fans just didn't cut it for me. I know AC is not the norm but a few extra fans could have helped to better circulate air in the rooms. The owner Assia, was very friendly and accommodating although we did not personally meet her. She allowed for our belonging to remain in the apartment until later which helped since we didn't have to catch a train until 6.The man that we dealt with was ok. Overall, there were minor inconveniences but the location and price were right. I think that if they invested a bit in fans and in the bathroom they could have a wonderful home for other to enjoy Rome.
My husband and two kids (11 and 8) stayed at this apartment for 5 nights. We all loved it. The wifi is present and worked quite well. My husband was able to do hours of work at a good speed. There is no AC, but the apartment catches breezes throughout the day. It was hot outside, but pleasant inside. There is an elevator if you don't want to walk up the steps. It's true that Anna, who welcomes you, doesn't speak English. But we found this charming and it all worked out. Between my Spanish and having to listen and watch, it was okay. Don't be afraid. The best part of this apartment is the VIEWS! Everyone spent hours sitting looking at birds wing through the air, listening to the church bells ring, and enjoying this thoroughly Roman neighborhood. The seat by the window in the living room might be your favorite part of your trip!
Be aware that there is no oven, but there is a stove and microwave. But who goes to Rome to cook their own food? Zizzi Pizza down the street is excellent and we ate gelato at Gelateria dell Angeletto about 10 minutes walk away (AMAZING). Stefano, the owner, is so kind and makes ice cream from fresh local ingredients.
We had a great time and we loved the location which was close to the main train and bus station. It is within walking distance of most sights in Rome. The beds were very comfortable. The rooms were clean and spacious. The kitchen was well equipped and there was a great grocery store close to the location, just two minutes walk. Things that might have helped us are , the internet was only wired no WIFI. With tablets and smart phones being the main device for traveling, WIFI is important. The other thing was we had a bit of difficulty communicating with the person who greeted us as we had no ability to speak Italian. A book of instructions of things like where to put the Garbage and general local knowledge would have helped. I must say that Anna who greater us was very pleasant and accommodating and a lovely person. . The restaurant across the street from the apartment was very nice with good food. The staff were very accommodating and helped us out with some of the local knowledge.
