About Melisa Taylor
The Taylors and the Hubers became great friends while living in Miami, Fl. After the Taylor's moved to the Charlotte area, we decided to look for a mountain property to share. The Huber's had summered in the Highlands/Cashiers area for years. After one wonderful October weekend in the NC High Country, both of our families decided the Boone/Blowing Rock/Banner Elk area would be the perfect place to buy because the house could be enjoyed in the summer and winter.
Melisa Taylor purchased this Cabin in 2007
Why Melisa Taylor chose Seven Devils
Our number one feature was a year round view for our mountain home. This is harder to find than you would think in the NC High Country. We looked at over 50 houses in the area. Once we walked into this property, we knew it would be the perfect retreat with the view of our dreams.
What makes this Cabin unique
Besides all the great features of this home, we have the wonderful town of Seven Devils. They make this house easily accessible during the winter months. All the roads are paved and snow plowed during ski season. So, you can get to the house and enjoy the snowy winter months.

Wonderful place to stay
Our family had a wonderful stay at this house. The views are amazing and the house is very comfortable. We would happily return for another weekend.
More like a Multi-million dollar view!
Beautifully appointed cabin with a gorgeous view. It exceeded our families expectations and so did the hospitality of the owner. Definitely worth a return visit!
Beautiful home with spectacular views!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The views are unvbelievable! Unfortunately we had rain and clouds for much of the stay but we did get some time to enjoy all the scenery. The living area is very cozy and the place had everything we needed. We would definitely come back again!
Amazing cabin! Well worth the $$$ and trek up the mountain.
When your journey up the mountain is over, walking in the front door, the house opens up to windows, lots of windows and your mind will be blown, especially on a cold, clear day.
The accommodation was very clean and well maintained, good size TV & nice sound system to enjoy movies on!
The roads up to the cabin are steep in parts, but even when the snow came down, the road surface was kept clear & salted.
At the end of our stay, no-one wanted to go home, we loved it so much!!!
Would we go back, that's a yes, big 10-4, oui, ja, si and a country style "Hell Yeah!!"
Million Dollar View -- As Advertised! Clean, Warm, Inviting.
My family and I stayed at this wonderful cabin last weekend. The mountain views are truly spectacular - the profile pics absolutely do no justice. To confirm, the cabin is on the top of the mountain above Seven Devils. It is 100% true that you are high enough to see the hawks soar below you, and the clouds come in. The home is warm, comfortable, and inviting. The screen porch is a perfect place to curl up with a book. We took full advantage of the gas fireplace to take the chill off the autumn nights. My children really enjoyed having the entertainment area downstairs all to themselves. My son particularly enjoyed playing "retro" games on their Xbox. The home was extremely clean, and the kitchen had all the necessary appliances, flatware, and dish ware. There was even a slow cooker! There are Mr. Coffee and Keurig coffee machines. Conveniently located near Boone, Sugar Mountain, and Grandfather Mountain. While there are neighboring homes nearby, you would never know because where the cabin is located and the surrounding tree cover. Wifi worked without a hitch. The cellphone coverage is strong. I found a perfect place for quiet solitude and relaxation. I'm looking forward to booking this cabin again.
Everything you could want and need for a mountain getaway!
