Relax and enjoy the incredible 180 degree views available from nearly every room of this luxury mountain lodge perched at 4,750 feet in the heart of the high country. Watch hawks soar BELOW you, from the comfort of the glass-walled great room, the dramatic sun room, or from the large covered deck.

The main floor features cathedral ceilings with exposed imported cedar beams, maple hardwood floors, a gourmet kitchen with granite counter tops and stainless steel appliances, a master suite with king-size bed, a spacious great room with stone fireplace and 2 leather sofas. The entertainment system in the great room features a 55-inch 'smart' HD television with access to Netflix and Pandora, surround sound system, and a BluRay DVD player. The main floor also has an additional bedroom with two double beds. There is a spacious screened in porch with wicker sofa and chair. The downstairs area includes a third bedroom with queen-sized bed, and a fourth bedroom/game room with sleeper sofa where kids of all ages can enjoy the provided X-box video games on a flat panel LCD tv, watch a movie, play darts, study at a work desk, or just hang out away from the crowd.

The property is easily accessible from well maintained paved roads which are frequently serviced during the winter ski season (4 wheel drive or snow chains may be required during periods of heavy snow and/or extreme cold). The home is located on 2 large lots and features professional landscaping and parking for 3 vehicles.

While the Seven Devils area is known for dramatic mountain vistas and great skiing (Hawks Nest Snow Tubing Resort is located within Seven Devils...Beech and Sugar Mountains are within sight), the immediate area has many year-round attractions for the entire family, including great restaurants in Blowing Rock, Banner Elk, and Boone, golf and tennis, championship college football, shopping in Blowing Rock, and the Tweetsie Railroad theme park. Great hiking, mountain biking and fishing are available throughout the region. Entrance to the Grandfather Mountain Trail System is two miles west of Seven Devils Rd. Access to the Blue Ridge Parkway is only a few miles away. The Appalachian Trail is about 25 miles away.

This is a non-smoking home.

About Melisa Taylor

The Taylors and the Hubers became great friends while living in Miami, Fl. After the Taylor's moved to the Charlotte area, we decided to look for a mountain property to share. The Huber's had summered in the Highlands/Cashiers area for years. After one wonderful October weekend in the NC High Country, both of our families decided the Boone/Blowing Rock/Banner Elk area would be the perfect place to buy because the house could be enjoyed in the summer and winter.

Melisa Taylor purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Melisa Taylor chose Seven Devils

Our number one feature was a year round view for our mountain home. This is harder to find than you would think in the NC High Country. We looked at over 50 houses in the area. Once we walked into this property, we knew it would be the perfect retreat with the view of our dreams.

What makes this cabin unique

Besides all the great features of this home, we have the wonderful town of Seven Devils. They make this house easily accessible during the winter months. All the roads are paved and snow plowed during ski season. So, you can get to the house and enjoy the snowy winter months.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thanks so much for the quick return of the deposit! We so enjoyed our stay and the whole family could not get over the view - such a beautiful place you have found. The renovation was beautiful as well - the granite and tile work - I'm envious!

Million Dollar View -- As Advertised! Clean, Warm, Inviting.

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed at this wonderful cabin last weekend. The mountain views are truly spectacular - the profile pics absolutely do no justice. To confirm, the cabin is on the top of the mountain above Seven Devils. It is 100% true that you are high enough to see the hawks soar below you, and the clouds come in. The home is warm, comfortable, and inviting. The screen porch is a perfect place to curl up with a book. We took full advantage of the gas fireplace to take the chill off the autumn nights. My children really enjoyed having the entertainment area downstairs all to themselves. My son particularly enjoyed playing "retro" games on their Xbox. The home was extremely clean, and the kitchen had all the necessary appliances, flatware, and dish ware. There was even a slow cooker! There are Mr. Coffee and Keurig coffee machines. Conveniently located near Boone, Sugar Mountain, and Grandfather Mountain. While there are neighboring homes nearby, you would never know because where the cabin is located and the surrounding tree cover. Wifi worked without a hitch. The cellphone coverage is strong. I found a perfect place for quiet solitude and relaxation. I'm looking forward to booking this cabin again.

MILLIONDOLLARVIEW…..what an appropriate name!

  • 5 of 5

MILLIONDOLLARVIEW…..what an appropriate name!  We four enjoyed two relaxing weeks in this awesome home.  We were so comfortable staying in that we had a hard time getting four people to agree to venture out to explore the area.  There were spectacular views from the deck, screened-in porch, and living area.  With the 4,750 feet elevation, it was very interesting watching the hawks soaring for prey above and below us.  The large deck has a really nice gas grill, which we cooked several dinners on.  The kitchen is stocked with every item you could possibly need.  A mother deer and her almost-grown twins paid us a visit on multiple occasions, and the chipmunks entertained us racing around on the ground below.  Melisa was so prompt with answers to any questions that arose and so pleasant to work with.  We were surprised to find the rental stocked with so many items that we have had to purchase for other rental properties.  We were home only four days when we received our security deposit in the mail from Melisa.  We highly recommend Milliondollarview….you will not be disappointed.

Love the Million Dollar View!

  • 5 of 5

This was our second stay at Million Dollar View! The house is wonderful - everything we need is on one floor. We love the high elevation (4,750') and long range views. The sunsets are magical. You can park right by the front door for easy loading/unloading. We cooked great meals, enjoyed the view and sunsets every night. I like how it is in a neighborhood with great paved roads, but you can't see any neighbors! The location is great - close to Boone, and the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Fabulous view and a great house!!!!

  • 5 of 5

We had a group of six ranging from grandparents up to 72 years old and young children down to 5 years old. Everyone enjoyed the house. The yard does have a slope to it, but you are above 4000 feet of elevation so that is to be expected. Most of our time was spent on the deck and in the living room enjoying the expansive and ever changing views. The surrounding area is nice too and convenient to Boone, Blowing Rock, and Banner Elk. We also drove to a lake in TN that was an hour away for a fun day of boating. We will plan on staying here in the future for sure.
