About the property

3 bedrooms, 1 full bath plus outdoor shower, sleeps up to 6

This Cape Cod home is centrally located to many Cape attractions such as the Cape Cod Rail Trail, area beaches, golf courses and quintessential Cape towns with antiquing and shopping. For families traveling with small children, a day at the bayside beaches, especially at low tide will reveal mudflats and beach treasures galore for the young and old. There are many highly rated restaurants for those dining out as well as wonderful live theatre productions by some of the highly talented Cape theatre companies. Attend the Brewster Band concerts every Sunday evening (during the summer months) at Drummer Boy Park, but don't forget to pack a picnic dinner and bring the children. The Cape Cod Museum of Natural History is well worth a visit as well as Nickerson State Park which is brimming with bike trails, picnic areas and fresh-water ponds for swimming.

Guest Review/Comment: 'At the last minute we were looking for a get away and this house in Brewster popped up which sleeps 6 comfortably. I emailed the owner Sharon and she was so easy to work with. The place was immaculate as promised and looked exactly like the pictures on the site. Everything we needed was conveniently provided right down to a wine opener and two different types of strainers. The house was so child friendly we were more than pleased with the playroom upstairs and the large, safe yard for them to run around in. Stop and Shop was around the corner and Alecia's Pizza to die for! We went to Jack Knife Cove for our own personal beach getaway (bayside) and the kids were in heaven chasing crabs and looking for clams. I highly recommend this house for a wonderful time in a charming yet family friendly environment. Thanks Sharon!

About Sharon

After growing up on Cape Cod, it was only natural to purchase a home here for my family to enjoy and return to year after year. We enjoy offering the rental to summer guests so they can get some 'Cape Cod sand' in their shoes as well!

Sharon purchased this house in 2002

Why Sharon chose Cape Cod

Originally, we purchased this home to be fairly close to my relatives in nearby Chatham. The home is located in a wonderful, quiet, residential neighborhood that instantly makes you comfortable. My boys continue to look forward to their 'Cape-time' even as teenagers! I just love to breath in the clean, salty air!

What makes this house unique

Our favorite place to be is the back deck, whether it be for meals, book reading or just good conversation. In the living room, the afternoon light is beautiful coming through the big window. The sun will also filter through the trees in the morning as you are pouring your morning coffee! Also, if you've never experienced an outdoor shower, take advantage of ours.. it's wonderful!

Great Cape House

  • 5 of 5

We loved this adorable, clean, tastefully decorated Cape House in Brewster. The house exceeded our expectations. The owners thought of everything in terms of what a renter might need. We would definitely rent again. Relaxing, comfortable setting.

Amazing vacation at the Cape!

  • 5 of 5

Thank you, Sharon, for opening your wonderful home to us! Your house was perfect for our family. We have two young boys. There was plenty of room for them to play. The upstairs area had tons of games they could use. The yard was perfect to run around, and the street was great for bike riding. My husband and I love the area. Your house was so clean and comfortable. The deck was perfect for cook outs and plenty of room for the family to have nice dinners outside. We felt right at home. We will be coming again! We have been vacationing to the Cape for about 8 years now. This is the first property that we will visit for a second time and hopefully many more to come! Thank you again for a wonderful vacation! We had a wonderful vacation in Cape Cod! The house was very clean and well-maintained and the owners provided a very good customer service. It was close to different beaches, groceries, bike trails and other attractions as well. We enjoyed Nauset beach the best and the bike trail was extraordinary! Thanks Sharon!

Great home away from home centrally located!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had a wonderful weekend getaway in this lovely home in a cute, quiet neighborhood. It is located in a perfect spot on the Cape, we were 10-15 minutes from a whale watch and a 30 minute drive gets you to a must do trip to Wellfleet and Provincetown. We rode our bikes out of the neighborhood to the close by rail trail for a 22 mile bike ride around part of the Cape. There isn't anything they don't provide . It is a roomy home with a beautiful deck and yard and no smell! Would have liked to stayed all week! The owners leave a great book that gives all kinds of information and things to do, very thoughtfully done! Would highly recommend this place for a couple or family. Thank you!

Everything you need and more

  • 3 of 5

We had never rented a vacation home and were a little worried, not knowing what to expect. We were very pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The location was great, the yard was private with a very nice deck and patio set. The houses in the neighborhood are spaced apart with woods all around, very nice. The inside of the house was exactly as pictured on Homeaway. There were many, many additional touches that we were impressed with. The living room is very roomy and bright. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need, right down to the William Sonoma cookbooks. The upstairs is very kid friendly. There are lost of books and games with plenty of room for the kids to spread out. The Wifi worked great. There was a Wii system with many, many games. The upstairs has a window air conditioner which worked well. The downstairs does not have an air conditioner, rather a window fan. Unfortunately it was warmer than expected and very humid. The first floor stayed at a comfortable temperature however every thing felt damp. The only problem we had was that in certain parts of the house the damp/musty/moldy smell was strong. The owner of the home, Sharon, was very easy to work with and we received an excellent price. We spoke to her upon leaving about the moldy smell and she said they had had the place inspected and there wasn't any problems found. She said the odor was from having a basement on the cape. Our son-in-law who is from the East Coast said he felt it smelled like most coastal cottages. Had it not been for the odor I would be giving this 5 stars.

Owner's Response: After speaking with our guest on the phone concerning the odor she was smelling, we asked our cleaning company and our on-site property manager to look into it immediately that day. There were no signs of mold or mildew anywhere and they said nothing smelled out of the ordinary. Our guests from the Midwest were there when the remnants of a tropical system brought excessively high humidity levels to the Cape. When high humidity plays a factor in the weather everything becomes damp. Some guests traveling from drier areas of the country may not be used to the humidity and very well may smell that dampness in a home. We will take this review and look into providing more window air-conditioning units in the home to try and alleviate the dampness that sometimes happens in high humidity conditions. But please rest assured, that there is no mold in this house. We appreciate our guests' reviews and strive to improve with every one! Thank you Susan, for choosing our home for your Cape Cod getaway and for writing a review.

Perfect Brewster Home

  • 5 of 5

Our family (Wife and I and two kids 3,8) loved every bit of our week stay. Located just a few minute drive from several Brewster beaches yet on a quiet street. Modern kitchen, large deck, office space, and a comfortable living room so nicely decorated. The house in person looks even nicer than the pictures and there is much more room than you would imagine. Everything inside and out is extremely well maintained and you are left with nothing to do but relax and enjoy your stay. The owners are very friendly, the process from rental to checkout is easy, and communication is great. I highly recommend this house and this area for any family looking to spend some time on the Cape.
