You can even experience a serenade by the gondoliers rowing an authentic gondola in the Venetian style on a cruise through local canals. Ocean breezes waft gently off the Pacific along a stretch of coastal paradise, while in the distance, a tall ship sets sail-These sights and many more await the visitor to romantic Long Beach. Time to pack!

The living room furniture was the most uncomfortable furniture I've ever sat in!

  • 2 of 5

The living room furniture was the most uncomfortable furniture we've ever sat in! The sofa and day bed need to be replaced and it needs some comfy chairs. We will not be staying here again.

Owner's Response: Barbara, I'm so sorry to hear that you were uncomfortable ! (and have not heard this from any previous guests). If I was aware of this, I would certainly have made an effort to improve your comfort and satisfaction....more pillows? or? I enjoyed meeting you both. In the future, feel free to give me feedback immediately so that I might resolve any issues to improve your stay! Thanks for your input! Nancy

Great location, Great owner

  • 5 of 5

Our family has been renting this property during the summer for many years now, our escape from the desert heat. Nancy has been nothing but professional with all transactions and timely responses. Our family loves coming here and we look forward to it every year. We can park our car and not use it for the entire time, everything is within walking distance. Seal Beach is a wonderful little family town with a great main street. Thanks so much Nancy for opening your house to us and creating wonderful memories for our family.

Cozy, Clean and Convenient!

  • 5 of 5

I just returned from a 2 week stay. I didn't want to leave this darling cottage! The new pergola on the patio adds a secluded place to spend afternoons with a good book or glass of wine. Loved the closeness to Seal Beach and the Pier. A 4 minute walk took me to the charming downtown which is complete with shopping, casual dining and great coffee shops. The friendly residents greet everyone on the street and I chatted with many of them! I loved walking everywhere, including to the midtown green park with benches and a picnic area. The beach bicycle was great for long and short rides as well which was challenging at first ;-)) ! There are beach chairs, umbrellas and kites included. Friends visited me from the "desert" (Palm Springs and Indio). They all fell in love with the town and plan on returning to vacation. I hope to return to this special cottage soon!

Dream vacation!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed for three weeks in February, 2015, at The Beach House (as I called it). It was wonderful! I stayed by myself and I wasn't frightened at all to do so. I was visiting family and friends (from Ohio) and everyone that came to visit was envious of my abode.

I have Multiple Sclerosis and I was pretty much housebound for the entire stay, but the coziness of the house and a great internet connection was all I needed! (Plus a coffee maker and kitchen (stocked by a grocery trip by family.)

I brought my own safety bars for the tub and had help when trying to negotiate the steps outside the house. The garage for guests was invaluable (parking availability is hit and miss). The beach is just out the back and around the corner; unfortunately for me, in the winter there is a berm (mound of sand) to protect the homes from the tide and so the water can't easily be seen and I could not climb the berm. But it is there! And Main St. is just a few blocks away!

All in all, a dream vacation and one that I would highly recommend!

(The only downside is that you can hear your neighbors easily - it is a duplex - but that didn't really bother me.)

As advertised, cozy convenient very comfy bed.

The televisions need to be upgraded. The monitor on my computer has a larger picture then the living room set. Only picture setting was HD1 which made the picture even smaller, about 8 inches tall. The bedroom has basic channels which is ok if you are going to watch CDs.

Owner's Response: We are so sorry that you were inconvenienced with the TV! We are always happy to take phone calls anytime of the day or night to assist our guests with any issues (phone numbers all provided). The TV remote has a button that you can use to adjust picture size as displayed on the TV screen. Sometimes the show that is broadcast will not fill the TV screen…like old moves and tv shows. So you can located the button on the remote (screen control) that will change the size of the show being broadcast. We do apologize for any inconvenience and want you to know that we are always available for any assistance that you need! Thank you for the input! Nancy

Cozy Cottage

  • 5 of 5

We just got home today from our stay in Seal Beach. We loved the cozy cottage and felt so comfortable there. It is in a great location, just steps from the beach in a quiet neighborhood and a few blocks from Main Street where there are many shops and restaurant. The cottage was just like the pictures, spotlessly clean and well maintained. It is fully equipped, with everything you might need, even including beach chairs. The owner was great to work work with and very helpful.
