About this property

A cozy and special property that sits very close to Lake Lanier on quiet Taylor Creek. Enjoy expansive lake views from every room in this house including the dining screened porch and deck. The house is situated perfectly to capture spectacular sunsets reflecting off the water. Sleeping options include a Master with King, a 2nd bedroom with a Queen, and a large bunk room with 2 double beds and 2 twins that works for a couple but is perfect for kids. For activities you can enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, reading on the dock, kayaking in our 3 kayaks (1 double and 2 single), grilling/smoking on a BGE or just enjoying the ever-changing lake vista from the dock, porch, deck or any room in the house. Bring your boat and tie up at our dock. This house was completely gutted and renovated in 2010 by the current owners. It includes an open-concept kitchen, family room and dining booth. It includes a wood-burning fireplace for cozy winter evenings and a fire pit by the lake for s'mores. It includes a large 32 by 32 covered dock with a generous seating area and chairs. The upper level of the dock is perfect for fireworks. Very secluded and quiet location down a short drive from the end of a street. Close to 2 grocery stores and outlet mall at Dawsonville. Only about 30 minutes from Alpharetta. Satellite TV. Stereo in house and on dock. Grill/smoker for your use. A truly special place that is new to the rental market as of Nov 2018.

No fireworks on the dock. You can shoot fireworks up in the street if the neighbors do not mind, but only holidays, Friday or Saturday before 10pm.

Beautiful

The property was just beautiful the kids absolutely love fishing. It was a little hard for me to go up and down the stairs because I’m older and my husband is 83 and he couldn’t do the stairs down to the pier at all. I was just a little afraid to let him do that, but otherwise beautiful view, plenty of room never stayed at a property that was so stocked. It had everything that you need. Everyone really enjoyed themselves.

Lakeside paradise

We spent 6 days in early October at this lake house. Everything was clean and working well throughout our stay. We enjoyed the large screened in porch, green egg grill, spacious kitchen, and large dock with kayaks. I was able to dock my boat and wake up every morning to catch fish. The walk to dock was short and the views of the cove were nice. We have stayed at Lanier with other properties but this one we will visit again. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your piece of paradise.

Great Stay in a Great Location

Our family and extended family loved our time at this cottage on a quiet cove on Lake Lanier. Some of our favorite things were kayaking, fishing, and making s'mores by the fire pit. Fantastic dock with gorgeous sunset views, great neighborhood for a walk, and the perfect screened porch and deck overlooking the lake. Well-equipped kitchen with huge island and tons of room in the basement. Colt was a great host, very hospitable, and answering questions on the fly. We would absolutely recommend this home for a family stay!
