Awesome cabin and great owners! The cabin was very clean and so accommodating! It was everything we wanted and more! The location of the cabin is another plus, right in between Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge! I would definitely recommend staying here!
this is the 3rd time we have stayed here and we enjoyed it we will stay here again
Great stay..it was a little tight for 8 people but very well furnished..we did see 2 bears close to the cabin..would stay again..great location
I thought this would be a great cabin in a great location for us to stay on our annual bike trip to the mountains. How wrong was I! We had 5 people on our trip. One was in a car and drove up separate from us. When she got there at 4pm on Sunday she texted me and said the cabin had no water. I called Jennifer, but no one answered so I left a message. After about 30 mins her husband finally called me back. He fed me a bunch of lies that they flush the system on Sundays about every 3-4 months and it affects the water on the hill. They usually put a notice on the door, but they blow off so they don't see them. I also told them that the spa needed to be cleaned and the WiFi wasn't working. He then put Jennifer on the phone so she could help me with the WiFi. She repeatedly told me that the password had to be EXACTLY right. Well no kidding it's a PASSWORD! I was told that she was calling the utilities company and was trying to figure out what was going on. That was the end of the call. From then on we talked by text so that I would have it all written down. That night she did offer to refund $50 or put us in a hotel. That would have been 3 rooms so we decided that we would stay at the cabin with the assurance that the water problem would be taken care of first thing in the morning. When I finally asked her point blank what the problem was on Monday her answer was the utilities company hadn't received her check so had turned the water off. Jennifer did offer me a total refund on Monday morning and we found another cabin to stay in when there was still no water by 10am. We pulled out at 11am and there was no sign of the utilities truck. Jennifer did do a refund, BUT it was only for the final payment. She neglected to refund the deposit. After I questioned her about it she said the maid had gone to the cabin and it was "left in disarray" and what we had done with the toilet paper. I had to ask what we did with the toilet paper. Maid said it was everywhere!!! And she was going to keep 1/2 of the deposit. We are grown adults and believe me we could have left the place a mess. Especially with no water to flush the toilets, but we used the water from the spa to flush them. I told her the maid was lying and that she said full refund. Let her try to say otherwise. I have it all in writing. She also lives 4 hours away so there is no way for her to know what's happening at the cabin. Vacationer beware!!
We spent 4 days at the Cedar Chest. Very easy and fast to get to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. Cabin was very nice and very clean. Everything was provided. Did not have time to use the hot tub, but looked very inviting. Other cabins were close but did not hear or see anyone. Probably a beautiful view in winter when leaves are gone. The cabin felt very cozy. Felt great to sit out on the deck especially early morning and at night surrounded by all of the trees. This was a great four days. Jennifer was very nice and easy to deal with. Thanks, Jennifer, we enjoyed the Cedar Chest very much.
This cabin is awesome was only there three days but wished i could have stayed longer. You could not ask for a better location. Very close to Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. It has everything you could ask for and more cant wait to go back.
