Completely remodeled home in owner occupied San Francisco style building (built pre-1906 Earthquake).
The first floor (75 sq. meters/800 sq. ft.) has a private entry and has had a professional remodel from top to bottom, from the master installed tiled bathroom to the hardwood floors throughout. No detail has been overlooked.
This home is fabulous for visitors to the City looking for a mix of modern and traditional San Francisco charm. This place will fulfill your desire for privacy and quiet while still having instant access to urban cultural amenities in the neighborhood with cafes, shops and great restaurants. Or prepare your own food, dining on fresh organic produce from one of the many farmers’ markets, and enjoy the privacy of your own large patio right outside your kitchen door.
I have raised two young boys to men in this house and have perfected the place through years of improvements. The downstairs has recently undergone major modern renovations while staying true to it's original design as a Victorian, while the upstairs has been kept in it's original architecture so as to preserve the integrity of the Victorian. My eldest son recently helped put the finishing touches on some of the painting, and I personally chose all the furniture and art within the homes. I reside in San Francisco and still stay at the home occasionally, or provide my family with a unit when visiting. I often introduce myself to occupants and enjoy personally leaving a bowl of fresh organic fruit and some coffee beans for visitors.
This property greatly exceeded our high expectations. First of all, Robin was a pleasure to deal with. We mainly communicated via e-mail, and her replies were always friendly and prompt. At the very end of our stay, we met Robin, and she was just as friendly in person.
The property was absolutely immaculate and it is huge! This picture doesn't show it, but at its right edge there is a hallway that goes back away at least 30 feet from the street entrance. This hallway leads to the kitchen, dining room, and bedroom. For a light sleeper, such as myself, the fact that the bedroom is in the back of the house was a huge blessing. No street noise! Instead, the bedroom looks out at a deck lined with shrubbery, with a beautiful garden up a few steps.
I'd like to emphasize that the interior is completely modern in all respects. And did I mention that it is quiet? I did forget to mention that we found English muffins, fruit, coffee, yogurt, and butter ready for us to enjoy.
My wife and I loved staying in Robin's home. It really is amazing.
This apartment is very comfortable and quiet and had everything we needed. It has the charm of original San Francisco apartments, with high ceilings and nice moldings and a hallway between the front living room and the back kitchen/dining room and bedroom. It is in a great location, within close walking distance of stores and restaurants on Church Street in Noe Valley, as well as those on Courtland Avenue in Bernal Heights. It is about a 15 minute walk to 24th Street, the bustling shopping and restaurant area in the heart of Noe Valley. And it is not far from the hip part of the Mission district, with new and popular restaurants such as Tartine Manufactory. There is good public transportation nearby. The owner was very helpful and accommodating.
Robin's apartment is all that other reviewers have claimed it to be. It is accurate to the pictures, spacious and is convenient to many of the locations that you would want to visit in the Bay area. The area is safe and serviced very well by public transportation. I felt very comfortable in my rental. Robin was very easy to deal with and I enjoyed the neighbourhood with its variety of restaurants and shops. Great for walking. All in all, I had a great vacation and I look forward to returning there again.
I rented the home for a family Christmas celebration in San Francisco. My sister's home was a 10 minute walk so the location was ideal. The rental was lovely & comfortable - easily accommodated 4 people, close to shops, my SF favorite restaurant and on a nice quiet street. The owner was responsive and great to deal with. A lovely home in a lovely city!!
I had a great stay here. The furnishings and amenities are nice, and the area was quiet.
We found this property while looking for a place to stay during our week long visit to San Francisco. Having researched a number of properties we decided on this one. This property did not disappoint! The single bedroom unit was completely furnished and the kitchen and laundry utilities were perfect. The owner had fresh fruit and a few things to eat and drink in the refrigerator waiting for us. This charming home is just a short walk from the Muni line. Since we opted to NOT rent a car, this was important to us. We enjoyed being just out of the city but close enough to get downtown to do our sight-seeing. After a busy day of being in the city, I enjoyed 'coming home.' The owner was very good at having open communication and checked on us during our stay. If we ever returned to SF for another extended stay, we would definitely check to see if this property is available before looking elsewhere. We will recommend this property to any of our friends who are traveling to San Francisco.
Very good public transportation one block away to Downtown, the Castro, Union Square or the Waterfront. 15 minutes by car to the Airport. Ample street parking if needed.
