About Rob or Shreyas

I am a well travelled Bostonian with roots in India, London, Africa and America. The various threads woven through the fabric of my being! I was introduced to Provincetown in 1986 as a veritable wide eyed ingenue. To be in a place where I could really express myself and BE MYSELF was one of the most wondrous events in my life! I have shared this home, with great joy, with so many of my dearest and special friends and also with many people through Homeaway over the years! WE ARE FAMILY! I know you will love this if old world charm, funkiness or beachfront living is your thing. No matter what, Provincetown represents something disappearing in the world rapidly - a TOLERANT, DIVERSIFIED INCLUSIVE COMMUNITY that is really a model for our nation and the world. LGBTQ folks have done it right here and now! Come visit please!

Rob or Shreyas purchased this condo in 1990

Why Rob or Shreyas chose Cape Cod

It's a fun and delicious story but suffice it to say that I was in the right place at the right time et voilá, as we say in Greek - haha

I feel blessed every time I sit and breathe on the deck, Carnival, July4th, Labour Day, Halloween and even Thanksgiving and New Year!

What makes this condo unique

To wake up and see the water everyday, to roll out of bed and get tea, coffee, a bite to eat and enjoy the view, the breezes, the ambience yes.....

The joy my wonderful special Beach Shack has given me and all those I have shared it with is beyond words but pictures sure do prove their worth!

Arise to an Endless Sunrise

  • 5 of 5

This is my 3rd year renting this charming condo in the heart of town. As an annual visitor to Provinceton for 19 years, I have stayed in a number of B&Bs and condos. The magic of this condo is its situation; it is nestled between Commercial Street in the East End and the P-Town Harbor. It possesses the BEST view of the sunrise over Truro that illuminates through the entire condo. Although the condo is just steps away from bustling Commercial Street, it is like a secret garden that opens up to a quiet, secluded oasis with access right to the harbor beach - a great place for us to watch the annual 4th of July fireworks!. There is sun-lounging on the private upper deck. This is also a perfect place to read a book, paint a picture, or share drinks with friends. The outdoor grille and patio table allow for easy dinner parties al fresco. The condo, once a local fishing shack, still retains its local charm with a large open living space, a small but very functional kitchen, and two bedrooms. For a sense of real Cape Cod life, this condo provides a rustic, cozy, and authentic setting.

Owner's Response: It is always special to have renters who appreciate the natural beauty of the Cape and the special location of our little beach shack that enables visitors to experience the sea, cape light and town activities with minimal effort - a true vacation! We hope that you too will come back for repeat visits just like C! Our condo is not for everyone, but if you really want to experience a little bit of historic and charming P'town life and love to be right on the water with your own private beach framed by gorgeous beach roses, then this is certainly a place you should consider!

Lovely

  • 5 of 5

Rob and Shreyas have a charming and well-appointed home with stunning views. It is located right in the heart of Provincetown, with numerous restaurants, art galleries and coffee shops at its doorstep.

Rob helped us unload our luggage, arranged for parking and kindly showed us around their home. Both Rob and Shreyas were readily available to answer any questions we had and they were very accommodating in terms of our hours of arrival and departure.

We had a wonderful time and hope to be back next year!!

Rob met us and checked us in to this wonderful place for a respite. The location...and charm...can't be beat. Will definitely stay here again. Owners are wonderful to work with, and everything you need is furnished. Great weather this week helped, too. Thanks, gents...much appreciated.

A really wonderful place of charming contrasts - the life of P'town, the quiet calm of the beach

  • 5 of 5

We just had a fantastic week at Shreyas and Rob's beachfront condo this summer. It is such a lovely little bolt-hole, full of art and character, and with the joy of literally being a few steps away from having your toes in the sand and a few yards from walking amongst the full life of the town, cocktails, oysters and all that Provincetown offers. This really is a gem! The town has such life and vibrancy and then it feels great to just turn off Commercial Street and head down your secret little alleyway to the peace of the apartment. We had all we wanted there - a great galley kitchen (well equipped), cosy little bedrooms, and a living room and deck that open out on to sky and sea. Rob and Shreyas were lovely to deal with, from the booking onwards - especially talking us into the town on arrival and being super flexible as traffic messed with our plans... They helped us in to the local very close parking - essential - where we got a good deal so we could come and go whenever we wanted. During the week they checked in with us but then just let us be. It was great to have Kayaks which we loved using, our daughter happily dragging them to the water for more fun. Just one thing worth knowing - we hadn't noticed that there was no washing-machine. In a week we could totally make do with hand washing what we needed, but it is worth noting. And anyway, the weather was superb so we didn't really get through many clothes!

This is a wonderful place to chill - to read, to look at the sea, swim, kayak - and then to just pop out for an iced coffee (Wired Puppy) or for oysters and a Martini (Patio) and much much more, all within a few steps of the front door. When can we go back...?

things that made the stay great:

the owners

the view

the location

the eclectic decor (which I hated in pictures, but loved in real life)

the a/c in the bedrooms as it gets really hot when there is no breeze

the blue hardwood floors

the deck

the beach

the character of everything in the house

the glass sliding door - could stare out at the water for hours

really hope to be back next year...had an amazing time during my week there!
