It is a 2.5 block walk to Sail Bay, perfect for sailing, windsurfing and kite-surfing and a 3.5 block walk to Ski Bay, host to power boats and jet skis! This locale is also half a block from a local coffee shop for that cup of morning java, a local market which sells basics and a full selection of beverages and spirits, a full-service salon, mail station and a trendy women’s boutique.
House and guesthouse share a private fenced-in backyard ideal for family get-togethers and cook-outs. This charming, unique duo is a wonderful way to stay close to the beach without dealing with parking problems or overcrowded condo dwellings. It’s an ideal oasis for up to ten people looking to vacation together. Whether it’s Sea World or the social action of the Pacific Beach scene you crave, you will be within one mile of these attractions. Great for the entire family. If you are traveling with small children we have a room full of toys for infants/toddlers, plus one pack n play and a high chair. We have small children ourselves and understand how challenging it is to travel with all the things necessary to care for and entertain them. Lots of parking for multiple cars.

My favorite thing about the house is that in 60 seconds I could jog to the Mission Bay Boardwalk to exercise, in 5 minutes I could be at a great surfing beach and in 2 hours I could be snow skiing in the San Gabriel mountains outside of LA.

Why Owner chose Crown Point
We purchased the house while I was attending graduate school at the University of San Diego. We were hoping to stay in San Diego permanently but work took us away. We love our house and the location and decided to keep the house and rent on a vacation basis to allow us to return and continue to enjoy it ourselves. We had two children while living there and now have four.
What makes this House unique
Playroom with many toys for small children. Walking distance to Sail and Ski Bay beaches, parks and playgrounds. Separate guest house allow family to be in one property without feeling crowded.

Great house in a wonderful location.
We really enjoyed our stay here. Between my brother's family and mine we had four adults and five kids under the age of 7. The playroom was a godsend and we were really comfortable with all of the space. Although we lived in San Diego for 10 years, we were not familiar with Crown Point and found it to be a gen. Close enough to the bay and beach, but not lost in the PB madness.
All interactions with the owner have been great so far.
Great Family Rental
Great house. Great value. Great location. Just minutes from Sea World. Three-block walks to 2 Bay beaches. Short drive to San Diego Zoo, ocean beaches, downtown, Lo Jolla, and many other fun things to do in San Diego. There was even a nice coffee shop on the corner for our morning specialty coffees. My wife and I celebrated our 40th Anniversary for a week with our 3 children, their spouses, and 6 grandchildren (ages 4-10). The rooms in the house worked out great for each family, the playroom was fun for the kids, and the back yard was very nice for playing, relaxing, and evening meals together. The owner was good to work with, as well. We highly recommend this rental property.
Ideal location, well-maintained and plenty of room
We stayed here with our extended family for our vacation in June and loved it! Couldn't ask for a better location--right in the heart of Mission Bay a few blocks from the bay's shoreline and a few minutes from the beach. Very well maintained and, on the one small issue we had, I had a response and remedy set up in about an hour. Highly recommend this property.
Great family housing
Our family of 9 stayed for a week in November. Great back yard for kids (fenced and partially paved) even with a play room. Super quiet neighborhood. Good house layout for 3 family groups to stay with the guest house in the back. Private space for everyone. Clean and well kept with new marble countertops the week before we rented. Close to ocean, mission bay, Sea World and La Jolla. 20 minutes to downtown. Bus stop one block away. Quick response for some minor problems. Would stay again if in San Diego. The weather was perfect, as usual for SD!
Great for everyone!
We stayed here with kids, friends, and even our babysitter. The kids loved all of the toys and the toy room. The beds were comfortable, the house was much bigger than we expected and the fenced yard was perfect for play time and entertaining. Plus close to a great coffee shop and the beach.
Perfect for Family Reunion
This summer I wanted to have a family reunion here in San Diego, but needed a larger gathering place than my small one bedroom apartment. This home was the perfect solution. It is just as described in the listing. There was plenty of room to sleep myself and the out-of-town adult children/grandchildren. It was especially nice to have the separate guest house for my son and his wife and new baby with the available portable crib, high chair, toys, and their own bathroom. My children/grandchildren who live in San Diego could rendezvous with us to go to the local beaches and sights and join us for dinner afterwards at the house. We love to cook and eat together so we definately enjoyed the spacious kitchen/dining/patio facilities. We made a Costco run for supplies at the beginning of our stay and had plenty of room in the double wide Frige/Freezer and big Pantry for it all so we didn't have to waste vacation time shoppiing more than once for groceries. The property was clean and well maintained. The owner was very helpful and returned our security deposit within 2-1/2 weeks after our stay. We especially liked how we could easily walk to the beach and enjoy morning jogs/walks/biking on the great cement boardwalk all around the Bay or watch the sunset and fireworks from Seaworld in the evening. This was a great family gathering place. We're already saving our pennies so we can do this again next year.
