Why sonia lefebvre chose Lac-Sainte-Marie
In 1928, following the construction of the Paugan hydroelectric dam in the municipality of Low, the village was flooded and relocated. This flood has made Lake Sainte- Marie a much larger lake. Since then, it has become a popular spot for many vacationers who have built cottages on its shores.
