Beautiful view, well furnished, accommodations

My husband and I stayed in Jeff and Kim’s condo for seven nights. The condo was very clean and the set up was great. The kitchen had everything we needed and more. The view was beautiful with the ocean and diamond head on one side and the open ocean on the other. Yes, there is a building in front of their building but it didn’t bother us at all. The air conditioner kept us cool and there were plenty of towels. The beach chairs were very much appreciated. Within walking distance of the beach, convenience stores, restaurants and shopping. We would definitely stay here again if we ever make it back to Waikiki! Thanks so much!!!

The Best

Been staying at the Banyan for over 20 Years, this was by far the best condo we have stayed in, Clean,all the facilities you need, absolutely awesome views and Kim and Jeff great people do deal with. What more could you want. Thank you Kim and Jeff hope to be back later this year.

Clean, Comfortable, Convenient Waikiki Stay with GREAT Sunsets

The condo was nice & clean upon arrival and just as described when seeing it in person. Nothing "over the top" fancy, just a nice condo at the end of Waikiki, where we prefer to stay.

Jeff & Kim were very responsive and helpful with our late booking and they got all of the pertinent information to us prior to arrival, which made things easy for us. I really enjoy renting from owners directly as I find the experience to be much better than renting from impersonal property management companies.

We did experience the slight inconvenience of the bathroom water being shut off for maintenance by the building management the first morning after our evening arrival, and Jeff addressed my concerns with that unfortunate occurrence, which was just a matter of unlucky timing and nothing that was known about prior to my booking the condo.

Being relatively frequent visitors to the islands, we enjoy the advantage of having a full size fridge to eat breakfasts in and for packing lunches, drinks and snacks for our daily excursions, along with having cold beverages available in the condo and we even used the grills downstairs one evening to cook dinner.

WiFi, TV and a/c all worked great, but you definitely need to use the supplied fan in order to push cool air into the bedroom area, otherwise the living room and kitchen will be much cooler than the bedroom area.

I'd definitely recommend this condo to a couple looking for a nice easy stay in Waikiki and we hope to stay here again. Thanks so much!

Nice location and view

The location was great. 2 blocks to the beach and lots of restaurants near by. This end of Wakiki is less crowded than the other end, which we preferred. This was our first trip to Oahu so we did not know the area before booking.

Jeff and Kim were very easy to work with and got back to us quickly if we had any questions.

The view was not as expected. The buildings were a lot bigger and closer in person than they appear in the photos. Although you can see the beach, I expected to see more of it. Tower 1 of the Banyon is right in front of you with one other building just to the right of it. In October you cannot see the sunset from the balcony as it is blocked by one of the buildings. We had to walk down to the beach to see the sunset.

Perfect for 2 adults and 1 or 2 small children to share the sofa bed. My son ended up sleeping on the foam pad that was in the closet most nights, he's only 3-1/2 so it was fine for him. The king bed was very comfortable and we slept really well. Amenities in the kitchen were all we needed. The wifi is not hi-speed and it cuts out often and kicks you off. the AC unit is very loud. There is only one speed on the fan so you couldn't turn it down. I had to turn it off every once-in-a-while because I was getting a headache from the loud sound. They did have a small fan to help push cooler air in to the master bedroom at night. When you close the doors the master does not get as much air since the AC unit is in the living room.

The floors of the condo were not clean when we arrived. I had to sweep when we got there. We are used to no shoes in the house and with tile floors it is often necessary to sweep every day, especially with sand. The bathroom rug looked like it needed washing. I ended up putting a towel over it while we were there. There were lots of bathroom towels and 4 beach towels. We went down after day 2 to swap them out for clean ones and they told us there was a $15 fee for new towels. They waved the fee since we did not know about it, but said they would charge us if we came back.

Overall the condo worked well for us. It was not "perfect", but the value was appropriate and it worked well for our family.

Plus/minuses but overall it was B++.

A lot of amenities. It met our needs. Owners respond quickly. Normally we stay at Hyatt place across the street.Would recommend this condo for two adults and /or two small children.

Very family friendly unit and complex, with tennis court/ basketball court/ BBQ area/ playground & large pool/ sundeck/ spas/ saunas with snack bar/restaurant on 6th floor deck.
