The Grayfield Cottage is a private guest house in elegant & tree-lined East Sacramento. We’ve designed and outfitted The Grayfield for the discerning traveler desiring prime location, luxury amenities, elegant style and all the creature comforts of home.

Features include off-street parking, fully appointed kitchen with laundry and a spacious living room with 55” TV & Apple TV. The large Master bedroom has a deluxe king-sized bed with luxury linens and a smart TV. We’ve cared for every detail to ensure this home away from home is suitable for your business needs, a romantic get-away or as a home base from which you can explore the best of what Northern California has to offer.

Location, location, location!! Walk 2 blocks to McKinley Park’s running & walking paths, rose garden, duck pond, library & pool. There are 2 grocery stores within 6 blocks (Safeway and the local neighborhood Compton’s Market). Midtown boutiques, daily farmers markets, farm-to-fork chef owned restaurants & vibrant nightlife are all less than a mile away. Downtown Sacramento’s State Capitol, Historic Old Town & the Riverwalk are within 3 miles.

Very nice, roomy ADU in the heart of East Sac. McKinley park was a great place to walk, near all the Xmas lights from the Fab 40’s. Leslie was very responsive to all of my questions and very helpful.

Lovely cottage with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. Great neighborhood close to the park, restaurants and grocery stores. East Sacramento is such a friendly area. I would highly recommend this property for your stay!

Cozy Christmas Stay

We had a lovely 6 night stay in the cottage over Christmas and had a 5 star experience! The location is fantastic with a great walking neighborhood and close by park for our 2 dogs. The cottage kitchen had everything we needed including a fantastic espresso machine! The unit was super cozy and is bigger than it appears in the pictures. It was very tastefully decorated and felt super homey. It’s also very quiet, secure and private. Absolutely loved it!

Amazing location, amazing place.

This is the second time we have stayed here. The communication was excellent. Everything there is appointed perfectly. The oudoor sitting area is beautiful. didn't use the outdoor fire pit, but hope to next time! Hope to stay with them again!

Beautiful place, sparkling clean, well-appointed, great neighborhood, great hosts!

Grayfield Cottage is super-charmlng and welcoming, with stylish decor and all major amenities. Driveway parking puts it over the top (many Sacramento properties I viewed on VRBO only have street parking). The neighborhood is lovely, upscale and centrally located. The hosts are great with communication, and even provide a binder listing nearby restaurants, grocery shopping, etc. I will definitely request this property again the next time I visit!

Great place and location

This was a great place to stay and enjoy our time in Sacramento. My husband did the Ironman and this was about 15 min from the transition, easy highway access. The neighborhood is super cute, close to a park, a great coffee place 1/2 mile, and easy walkability to restaurants. There are a couple of grocery stores, liquor stores.. really everything. The place is immaculate, every need you should have Leslie took care of.. The outdoor seating area was awesome in the evening. Super private, quiet.. one of the best we have stayed in!

Just as described, but even better.

Charming, outstanding property in an upscale residential location. Everything was already thought of and on hand… after a full week we were still happily discovering things were there whenever we thought of them. Pleasure cooking inside, grilling outside. Charming little business district complete with great local coffee, donuts, international restaurants only a few blocks walk. We were sad when it came time to leave our happy place!

The welcoming owners, Leslie and Bob, of the Grayfield Cottage have thought of every detail. The Grayfield Cottage is nestled behind a lovely home in one of Sacramento's most desired neighborhoods with a joint-use yard and outdoor seating area. Once you enter this humble space, you are greeted with good design, a cozy amtospohere and great space layout. The space was big enough to easily accommodate my friends and I. We definitely plan on staying at the Grayfield Cottage again. Thank you, Leslie and Bob.

Sactown baby let’s do it!

As we got closer to the location we had rented out, it got very quiet and relaxing. Theres almost certainly going to be no disturbances if you rent this cottage, nothing but sunshine and kind aesthetics from palm trees and California’s distinct architecture. Our hosts provide a great reading selection in the house with something for everyone, as well as an expansive list of things to do. The bedroom has a comfy memory foam mattress, the kitchen is well equipped, and the backyard had several chairs and a dining table with shade from a citrus tree. Some phenomenal spots for food, coffee, and the like are within walking distance, (just google what you’re in the mood for and add near me seriously the town is rich with culture) The bottom line is that Sacramento is a great place to visit, and this is your opportunity to be fully comfortable while doing it. There is something for everyone, and it’s conveniently located nearby other great places to visit. Go to Sac today rent Leslie’s place now!

Grayfield is Great

This was our third time staying here and the place grows us every time as a comfortable and quiet oasis in Sacramento. My wife often stays in the cottage to work and likes it. The Wi-Fi is more than ample for FaceTime meetings and the like. I find it a cozy place to return to after a day out. The cottage is well equipped and the owners are attentive. Love the Japanese bath chair in the shower.

Lovely Small House

This was a great stay in a tiny house so well equipped and esthetically pleasing, incliuding a impactful bas relief hung in the kitchen and done by the owners son-an artist- The kitchen had all we needed and included an amaing washer dryer combined which did a good job with laundry. Leslie and Bob were friendly hosts and thouigh away were in quick commlncation with any small issues or problems we had. We loved the cottage and the proximity to McKinley Park.

Amazing!

I just stayed here for a month while doing a rotation at UC Davis Med center. The property was exactly as pictured, super clean and smelled amazing. It was a wonderful, comfortable home away from home. Check was easier than easy as there’s a code to get in the door and private entrance through the back gate so a lot of privacy. Kitchen is fully equipped and has THE FANCIEST espresso machine (though I have low standards) that I’ve ever experienced. I was very overcaffinated during the entire stay. I could not say enough good things about this place. Location was fantastic, beautiful neighborhood right next to a lovely park that has about a mile running loop. Hosts were extremely responsive but respectful of privacy. If I ever need a place to stay I’m definitely booking here again. Worth every penny.

After a year of thoughtful planning, careful design and a LOT of help from family and friends, we are ready to manifest our vision.
