We have a handful of ‘themes’ that we ensure are present at Casa Majahua:

Casa Majahua was built with an open floor plan so guests can experience the unspoiled natural beauty surrounding the property. There are ocean views from the living room, dining room, upper decks and each casita. The construction consists of local soft and hard woods (most of which are sustainable) and artisan craftsmanship is seen in every door, window, cabinet and gate.
But natural and architectural beauty is not the only thing that sets Casa Majahua apart from other rentals. We also offer on-site personal attention during your visit. As part of your reservation, you will be greeted by our Property Manager, Alejandro or his wife, Mariana when you first arrive. They will walk you through the property and explain everything to you. Mariana will also check in every other day to ensure you have everything you need. She can help you arrange tours or provide help in other areas (i.e. shopping). Also, a cook can be arranged for $100 pesos per person per day (plus you pay for the food itself). Please indicate whether you'd like this additional service when you make your reservation.
Lastly, Casa Majahua staff are on-site every day to clean living spaces (sheets are changed every 3 days...towels more often based on guest need), water plants and clean the pool. We also have a night watchman, Don Tino, who rounds out our 24 hr security.
Casa Majahua is made up of five separate structures--a common area, two identical casitas, a guest quarters and a tower. The combined living area is just over 6000 square feet on almost a half acre of land. Please see the site plan that is shown as one of the pictures.
The first floor of the common area houses the kitchen, dining room, living room and a full bathroom. The dining room table can accommodate up to 18 people. The living room is connected to the infinity pool and has direct access to the swim-up bar, not to mention direct access to the beach and views of the ocean and Majahua Point. There are stairs in the living room to the second story as well.
The pool area includes a swim up bar, steps into the pool from the living room, a wrap-around deck, an attached hot tub and a shower as you come in from the beach.
The second story of the common area contains one enclosed bedroom/entertainment room (full futon) which is air conditioned. The rest of the second floor is an open loft area, which can accommodate overflow sleeping. Another unique feature of this level is a 'gangplank' that traverses the dining room to a deck where you can watch the sunset.
Each of the two casitas has an outdoor living room with sleeping chaise lounge (full size - can accommodate 2 people). There is an inside bedroom (king bed) on the first level with large full bath, and the second level is a loft area, which can be used for overflow sleeping (full size futon). The casitas copy the common area 'gangplank' effect, and each have a little deck to look out to the ocean. The casitas utilize palapa roofs that allow in sea breezes, therefore, no air conditioning is utilized.
The Guest Quarters contain two separate air conditioned bedrooms (queen bed) and one shared full bathroom.
The Tower is two stories. The first story contains the laundry facilities. The second story is one bedroom (queen bed) with an attached full bathroom. This room also enjoys strong ocean breezes, thus no air conditioning.

Troncones is a 5 KM beach including portions of straight white sand and some rocky points and coves. Surfing a large draw to this area, but the area also enjoys good fishing and wonderful bird and wildlife watching. The Sierra Madre de Occidental Mountain range can be seen about 100 KM to the East.
