About the property

Duplex, 3 Bedrooms + Den, 4.5 Baths, (Sleeps 6-8)

Completed in September 2007. This beautiful, spacious, high end property will feel like home in an instant. With approximately 2600 square feet to spread out in, you'll have plenty of room to expand your lungs and breathe in that fresh mountain air. The house has a great setup for couples with each bedroom having a private baths for added privacy. The den also has a private full bath. The house is nicely arranged on 4 levels. On the top level, you have the master suite with a king bed, gas fireplace, jetted bath tub, enclosed glass shower, TV and beautiful views of alpine meadows and mountain tops. The second bedroom is also on this level with a queen bed, 3/4 private bath, wooded views, and a TV.

Going down to the main level, you have the third bedroom with a queen bed, private full bath and wooded views. For those of you who love to stay in and cook, you'll love the gourmet kitchen with all the special extras... granite counter tops, a 5 burner gas stove on the island, and a double oven. The laundry room, 1/2 bath and access to the back patio with private outdoor hot tub are also just off the kitchen. The kitchen is also open to the living and dining area. Along with the deck off of the living area, you also have a gas fireplace, TV and stereo system.

The next level down is the main entry to the house.

Now, down to the 4th level, you have the den with a queen size sleeper sofa, private full bath, TV and stereo system. Entry from the 2-car garage is also located on this level.

You can't go wrong with this perfect mountain escape. You can travel a couple miles to the heart of downtown Breckenridge, or escape the back way to the base of the Peak 8 ski area and hiking trails. Relaxing in the hot tub after a hard day of skiing, hiking, or biking and gathering for great food with great friends sounds like the perfect escape to me!

Relaxing Getaway

  • 5 of 5

This was a wonderful house to stay in in our weekend up to Breckenridge. We had two families, 4 adults and 4 kids and never felt cramped or crowded! Loved that there was a full bathroom in every room. The hot tub was a nice adult getaway after a day of doing kids activities. Loved how close it was to downtown. The owner was very helpful before and during our stay. The only thing we found was that the knives needed to be sharpened, it was a little difficult to cut food for dinner. We would definitely look to rent again on our next trip to Breckenridge!

peaceful and relaxing!

  • 5 of 5

My guests and I really enjoyed this beautiful home in Breckenridge, especially the hot-tub. There were things that we needed to have that were not there when we arrived but we contacted the owner and he took care of the situation immediately, he was very easy to work with and helpful. The bicycle trails are so close to the home for easy access and the scenery is so beautiful from the decks of this home surrounded by mountain peaks. I would recommend this home to anyone for a great vacation experience.

Breckinridge CO Visit

  • 1 of 5

We have stayed at many great VRBO properties but this one was rather disappointing. We arrived to an unclean house and when we contacted the owner he seemed very indifferent about it. The floors were dirty, food on couches, syrup on tables, leftover food in refrigerator, sticky counters, dirty wet laundry in the washing machine, dirty bathrooms, dead bugs in living room and the list goes on. We had to go purchase cleaning supplies and clean the house and wash all the linens which is not how anybody wants to spend the first day of their vacation. The property is not actually a house as listed but a duplex. The closets were all packed full of so much junk that we were not even able to use them. The bed in the master bedroom was very uncomfortable. The neighbors are close and had large barking dogs. The owner said he had checked the house and saw the beds were made so he assumed it had been cleaned. The owner did not respond to our concerns at all and it was definitely not the vacation we expected and spent so much money on. Very disappointing experience for our family.

Owner's Response: The Guests include Trish and Michael Loftus, Our rate was $250 per night for seven nights from July 2 to July 9. Do not have their email address available at this moment. Guest call on the 2nd and ( Mr. Loftus) asked about access to the WIFI and had some concern about the WIFI speed. He also commented that his wife had found some areas of the home with are not clean. I explained to him the access to the WIFI and suggested her might restart the modem to see if the speed would improve. He sated that his wife had taken care of the cleaning issues and everything at that point was good. I was suppressed by the cleaning comments as I had inspected the property the day before and did not obvious issues. My concern was that someone had perhaps entered the home in the time since I had inspected it. The guest go on further in her comments to state the property is duplex, this is disclosed at the end of the description as key work "Duplex". I do not show any correspondence with guest where the type of home or its location is discussed. Concerning the closets, other bedding the closets are generally empty and guests are welcome to use them. The barking dog, the property is in a residential area, although I never have had a complaint about barking dogs it is possible the neighbors dog was barking. We have received numerous favorable comments about the beds, although they are not speciality beds and we do represent them as such when I have personally stayed in the home the beds have been very comfortable. It is unfortunate that this guest had such a very poor experience, however other than the initial telephone call the comments made were the first I had heard of any problems.

Amazing Breckenridge Home!

  • 5 of 5

Absolutely loved our stay in this wonderful home. Completely up-to-date with the best appliances, granite, furnishings and everything in the kitchen a chef could want. The spa was GREAT! The fireplace in the master suite was a nice touch. The extra large shower with detachable showerhead was awesome - and I even used the jacuzzi in the bathtub. We had six adults and never ever felt cramped. The views - especially from the top master suite was outrageously beautiful. I think we'll be staying again in the summer. As other's noted, it's a good idea to have a rugged all-wheel drive car or truck in the winter as it's a little treacherous (and we were there in March!).

Great property

  • 5 of 5

The owner is easy to work with, house is great location and is gorgeous inside and out! You will definitely need 4x4 in winter to get to this property otherwise risk being stuck on the uphill slope. Master bedroom has balcony and fireplace which was a plus, the other balcony is located on main floor...great views in morning. The hot tub and bbq grill is an added bonus.
