Guestbook comments from the owner

We enjoyed our first trip to Austin. Our once-a-month get-aways have been Dallas, BUT now it's Austin. We loved the cottage home the best. It was wonderful to come "home" and rest in the hot tub and then go out to nightlife and return back "home." No more hotel stays for us!…We will be back!

Great cottage in ideal location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this great cottage when we were in town for a UT football weekend. The location was perfect for getting to the campus as well as wonderful restaurants & shopping on South Congress. The neighborhood is a wonderful place for walks and picnicking. Although our favorite spot in the entire neighborhood was the back patio at the cottage. We enjoyed breakfast and evenings out by the pond. The house had everything we needed - comfortable beds, room to relax and visit, cookware to prepare breakfast for the patio and an ipod docking station and speakers to enjoy our music. Would highly recommend this great vacation cottage.

Comfy and Cozy for sure!

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time in the comfy, cozy cabin. The location is awesome! Near all the hot SoCo spots but in a pretty neighborhood. Jake was very welcoming and quick to respond. I worried about noise and traffic being right across from a school but it wasn't a problem. The kitchen was well equipped and we enjoyed watching football on the big screen. Super comfy beds and the hot tub is a huge plus! Loved it.

Loved it!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed here for the weekend to getaway from the norm, and celebrate my birthday. My stay was a bit different, because the first night I stayed with my kids, and the second night I had a few girlfriends over. Let me tell you - it was perfect for both situations! My kids and I had a blast the first night - playing video games, watching a movie, sitting in the hot tub... it was fantastic. It was super easy to get to downtown the next day, where I went to Town Lake to do some stand-up paddleboarding. Super close to lots of great places to eat - though we didn't even need that. I had a fairly elaborate, four-course dinner planned for me and my girlfriends the next night, and the kitchen had pretty much everything I needed! The house itself was clean, and ready for us when we arrived. The lush, green, beautiful setting was very relaxing to be in. The ease getting in and out of the house was great. Only thing you might want to know is there's a pretty big hill/steep steps you'll need to go up to get to the house. Wasn't a problem, AT ALL, for us, but I'm not sure if you can really tell that from the pics.

Loved this place, would recommend it to my friends, and would love to stay again sometime!

A very comfy, cozy, and charming home base for visiting Austin.

  • 5 of 5

We were very pleased with the accommodations at the Comfy Cozy Cabin. From the creative, unique Texas style decor to the tree house feel with the big oak tree nestled up to the front porch, the house was a great home base for our visit to Austin. The listing description accurately portrayed the house and available amenities, and the pictures did not do the place justice. You have to see it in the flesh to appreciate the charming backyard with pond and tiny waterfall and lovely treed landscaping complete with doves to coo you to sleep. The surrounding Travis Heights neighborhood was fun to explore and we were delighted to spot the giant white metal chicken in a front yard not too far away. We had some delicious Tex-Mex food in SoCo, just minutes away from the house, and getting to downtown Austin's attractions of music, bats, and barbecue was also just minutes away. We would definitely recommend the Comfy, Cozy Cabin to anyone planning to visit Austin.
