COZY & QUIET
About Michelle Sanders
Both my husband and I were born and raised in Baltimore. We grew up in separate parts of town. We see that as a plus because he has shown me some areas in Baltimore that I was unfamiliar with and vice versa. We have been married 10 years with 4 adult children. We have been exploring many things since both retiring this year. Hopefully the short term rental business will payoff!!
Michelle Sanders purchased this Townhome in 2018
Why Michelle Sanders chose Butchers Hill
We recently retired and decided to become involved in restoring the communities of Baltimore. We had no short term rental experience but we loved the concept. Therefore we decided to purchase this property and we chose the Butcher's Hill area for its historical nature and in particular the open brick display walls. We love the hospitality industry and our gem of a property in Butcher's Hill!!!

Great access to JHU and sights in Baltimore.
Our property is conveniently located within walking distance to Johns Hopkins Hospital, University and nearby restaurants, convenience stores and coffee shops. We are glad you found the location to be convenient and we appreciate you booking with us!
The owner communicated often which I appreciated. The parking is first come, first serve with no guarantees. There is a pool close to the neighborhood, but it is not part of the actual bnb. The upper bedroom area is sort of a loft, no privacy. The lower bedroom is a basement bedroom. Appreciated the laundry room. There is no bathroom on the main floor, which is noted; therefore, you either have to climb up a set of steep steps or downstairs a set of steep steps. I thought it could have been cleaner. I thought i lost my wallet under the bed and the dust was heavy and thick, which lead me to wonder about the rest of the house. The guest are asked to clean the dishes, which I did not mind, but I had to clean the dishes prior to using them because they were not clean. We did have to take out the trash and sweep as well. I thought this was a bit much, but it is a learning process and I know what questions to ask prior to booking. It was not bad, my friend had to stay with us for a few days and the owner was gracious. The owner was very nice and helpful.
We are Premier Partners who pride ourselves in providing exceptional experiences for our travelers to Baltimore. It's unfortunate that you did not enjoy your stay. When you listed several nominal items on day 1 and emailed them to me I expected such a response. The listing states that there is a 50 ft walk to parking and its free. We maintain Premier status in cleanliness while our posted Rental agreement states travelers will put their trash out for pick up if staying more than 5 days and we do expect our travelers to clean up behind themselves. This was a 7 day stay. Dust under the bed is a miss from our housekeeper and has been addressed. I am glad that you appreciated your friend staying for free. Our place is not a good fit for everyone so hopefully you will be satisfied next time you book elsewhere. A thorough read of the Rental Agreement and listing may have answered some of your questions beforehand. We were still delighted to host as we are with all of our travelers and we do appreciate you booking with us.
You can’t go wrong at this lovely spot if you want to enjoy Baltimore!
We came to Baltimore to throw axes at a tournament and had the best time. The property was clean and very conveniently located close to the tournament venue and great nightlife spots :) The property was clean and the hosts were incredible! They really went over and above to take care of us while we were here. They replied quickly to all of our concerns and even helped us to procure a surprise Birthday cake for our friends birthday party while we were here! I would gladly stay here again and so should you!
Thank you so much for your kind words. As Premiere Partners we strive to provide a 5 star experience to each guest and are delighted to know that we did that for you.
It was a pleasure hosting your trip!
Nice place in a beautiful neighborhood.
We are delighted that you enjoyed the bungalow and The Butcher's Hill neighborhood. We enjoyed hosting you guys and hope you will visit us again in the future!
Nice weekend gettaway
We enjoyed staying in Butcher's Hill near Patterson Park. The upstairs bedroom/bathroom is great! There is a lack of seating in the kitchen area for eating but our family of 3 made it work. The house was a definite value for staying in Baltimore and we found it was convenient to Fells point and the water taxi.
Thank you Diane for your review. We are glad that you enjoyed the location and your compliment regarding upstairs is most kind. Our space is limited and the kitchen is only designed for 2 as stated in the listing. We do provide additional chairs and seems this did work for you. I am glad that you enjoyed your stay. We would certainly be happy to host your next stay in Baltimore!
This was ideal location and a beautifully career for home
Thank you Robert. A beautifully cared for home because of guest like yourselves. It was a pleasure!!!!

Start your day in any number of ways. Mimosas al fresco on the deck off the master bedroom? A cappuccino and caprese sandwich? Fresh brewed coffee and bagel in the backyard? Breakfast with the locals at Charmed Kitchen for the best omelet in town? Perhaps a more elaborate brunch at any number of spots along the Fells Point edge?
Walk along Patterson Park in the warmth of morning sun. Get caught up in the energy of all the runners passing you by, those playing tennis, or ice-skating as you make your way past the many museums and monuments that defines this historical area. The Port Discovery Children’s Museum and Power Plant Live are also closeby and available for tour by calling the Baltimore Visitor Center.
Before you know it, it will be lunch. Swing through Little Italy for some pizza, followed by the famous Cannoli’s at Vaccaro’s. Or…in true Baltimore fashion…head to Angie's Seafood, Bo Brooks, Mo's seafood or Captain James restaurant to break a table-load of crabs over a bucket of beer.
Stroll along the cobblestones of Thames St. and its abundance of quirky boutique shops, or venture over to Harbor East for luxury shopping or handmade cocktails at the Four Seasons. Soon you’ll want to rest, but after your afternoon siesta, it will be time to think about dinner. Now we’re getting serious. Cheescake Factory, Rusty Scupper, Phillip's Seafood, Capital Grille and more. Or walk to nearby LaBarrita Restobar to mingle with the locals.
Good news! You’ll have time tomorrow to get up and explore all over again in the morning. Remember, there’s more to do than you can imagine. The arts abound, from the Chesapeake Shakespeare Company to the Baltimore Symphony and The Lyric or Hippodrome Theaters. Head up town to the Walters Museum or the Baltimore Museum of Art for their world class collections. Visit nearby America's first and oldest Baltimore Basilica and other places of worship. Walk to nearby worhship service less than one block away.
Whatever you choose, we strongly encourage you to do your research and take advantage of your time while here. There’s so much to see and do, you’ll want to have a plan. We’re happy to answer any questions and make suggestions.
