Our two day vacation using turn key vacation rentals . We were due to check in to Ocean Lakes family Campground home Friday the 20th and check out on Sunday the 22nd . I called turnkey vacation rentals on Thursday to make sure everything was in order and I was a shored I would have no problems whatsoever! after arriving at Ocean Lakes family Campground I was told that we were not in the system to check in on that day !so I called turnkey vacation rentals and was told I was in the system and all I needed was the email to get in Ocean lakes informed me I needed a paper from turnkey vacation rentals or someone to call ! so after four phoe calls to turn key vacation rentals and speaking to a very rude and obnoxious lady who informed me I did not know what I was talking about! and then my daughter talking to a lady who took care of our situation immediately ! we finally got checked in up on arriving at the house it was so hot in the house you could not breathe! so we went to turn down the air condition to cool it off the air condition would not go below 70° ! with 13 people in a house people in and out 70° just will not cut it when it’s 85 or 90 out side ! And it took until early Saturday morning for it to cool off enough to even be comfortable in the house ! Then Saturday morning it all started over again with the heat hot outside and inside ! Ceiling fan in one room was not working it was already hot in the house so that made it that much worse in that room ! So back on the phone again with turnkey vacation rentals about 2 1/2 or three hours later a lady comes up to try and fix the ceiling fan cannot get it fixed and says she has to call a electrician ! And it is 2:00 on Saturday before the fan ever gets fixed and remind you we were checking out Sunday morning ! Then I go down to to fire up the old grill for dinner and it is so nasty I would not fix my dog something to eat on it ! The house was not nasty but it was not clean either there were spiderwebs on light fixtures there was sand on floor just did not seem to be taken very good care of ! And for the money that we spent to stay there for two days I just feel that it was very unacceptable ! However we were already there so we made the best of a bad situation and spent the rest of our time there and tried to have a good time! So just to sum it up I can promise you I will never use turnkey vacation rentals again .

Making the Best of Things
The house was not clean when we arrived. A roach was turned over on it's back in one of the bathtubs and trash was still in the trash can from previous party. My family and I came to celebrate a graduation and made the best of our stay despite moldy ceilings, bugs that included roaches, spiders and beetles. We ended up cleaning and disinfecting the entire house before getting comfortable. The rental agency was very supportive and responded quickly to me when I made contact with them about the quality of the property. We made the best of it because it was all about family coming together.

The place was beautiful

Overall, the property was great. It was as advertised and the pictures were all accurate. The house and outside area was very clean and well kept. The bedrooms were all quite large. All features in the house worked well... things like AC, showers, appliances, laundry, etc. (not always the case in rental properties). Only 2 negatives,, for a house that sleeps 15, having the ability/authorization to only park 3 cars is difficult (however the manager rectified when called and approved 2 more). Also, we could not get the outside TV to work. Again all other amenities were as advertised and made for an enjoyable week in a property that could accommodate a large group.

Lack of communication on issues
This is a rental company who hires local people to maintain the property so there was a disconnect with the local team. Had minor issues that did not get solved (tv in carport not working and another minor issues we resolved on our own) and one major issues that was solved on the last day of vacation. Property itself is as detailed would have liked to see some storage in the closet for foldable clothes because rooms are a bit tight with luggage. Top deck needs some work. Property itself was ok, they did not clean the floors as there was a lot of sand on our feet & were dirty upon walking through the house. Location was great to walk to beach. Parking was tight for vans and trucks this is because the roads are narrow. Three vehicles fit but no where to park golf carts to charge so we had to buy our own extension cord to charge golf carts for the one outlet outside. Would not rent this house again because it was priced higher than other units but we booked late in the season so we were limited for the number of units that would accommodate our large group.

Wonderful Trip with Friends!
Overall this house was excellent. We had an issue with checkin because Ocean Lakes wasn’t notified that we were renting the house. The situation was resolved within an hour and we were able to purchase our parking passes. The house was very clean and location was good. The beds were very comfortable and the decor was beautiful. The only negative issues during our week other than checkin was the narrow streets making parking challenging for large vehicles and needing more mirrors for the ladies to do their hair/makeup while others were showering. I would recommend this house to others.
