About Marlicia J Gaut-Correll
Philip and Licia have been blessed to call Hendersonville home for the past 35 years. Philip grew up in nearby Tryon and Licia moved from her hometown of Knoxville, TN, to Tryon as a teenager. Philip works as an electronics engineer and is a whiz at fixing computers and just about anything else. Licia has retired from the world of newspaper publishing and enjoys working part time as a mobile notary. Both love to hike in the mountains and enjoy music of all kinds and going to music festivals (Philip plays guitar, bass and drums and Licia enjoys contemporary line dancing). Lady is the resident dog and will probably greet you with her "someone-is-here" bark. She's in our fenced-in back yard, but love people, so will gladly accept attention.

Why Marlicia J Gaut-Correll chose Sylvan Heights
We moved to our current home 20 years ago after living "out in the country" for some 18 years in a log cabin we built when first married. After years of adding on to the little log cabin it eventually become a house and provided plenty of room for our family of three. When our son was about 12 we decided he needed to be closer to his friends, so we went in search of a new home closer to town. We found this 2+ acre property located in town and we were sold. With the creeks and tall trees and a pasture and barn across the road, it feels like it's out in the country, but it's right in town. Convenience and privacy all rolled into one. Everyone says we have the best property in town. That's why we've been here for 20 years now. We are looking forward to retiring in a couple of years and hopefully doing some traveling, but we plan on living right here in Hendersonville. Our son and daughter-in-law recently moved nearby and we are delighted to have them so close. In fact, we have adjoining properties.

Good Times in Hendersonville
I had a nice stay in the "Blue Door" house. The house is very well equipped with all modern appliances and decor. Everything one needs for a week or weekend stay is provided. It's also conveniently located and easy to access. The whole check-in process was a breeze. I was visiting the area to ride the local mountain bike trails. The use of the attached garage was great for storing my bikes when not on the trails. I would highly recommend this house to anyone and I'm looking forward to staying there again.
Thank you, Johnnie. You were a wonderful guest. We appreciate your flexibility when we experienced some unexpected plumbing issues. Everything is being repaired and will be better than ever next time you come.
The property is very cute and cozy. Love the bed!!!! It's so comfy. The owners are very nice and willing to help. I would definitely stay again.
