The house was great, and, exactly as advertised. My coworkers and I took the red eye from LAX to Toronto, so, got in early Monday. Jennifer was kind enough to let us drop off our bags and rest a little , before the cleaning lady got to the house. It was a perfect little rest, before hunting for breakfast. The house is in a safe neighborhood, and, centrally located to all the Toronto goings on. We were a 25 min walk from where the conference we were in Toronto for was being held, and less than 10 min from the subway line. We would all consider staying at this house again.
Very comfortable home with cool decor. Unfortunately shower did not drain in master ensuite so had to shower in other bathroom. Also, parking permit is required from city of Toronto, and that was a bit hassle cause they require license plate to apply online and then need to print out. Had to get friends to help. Still, a pleasant stay once that was sorted.
Awesome home base for family visit - highly recommend!
Great place for family of five! Immaculately clean, easy access, wanted for nothing. Had one question for Jennifer and she got back to us super quick. Everything about the stay was superb!
Koreatown is a great neighborhood with tons of great food options. Did most of our exploring via Lyft but the subway is also close at hand. If you are driving *definitely* get the neighborhood parking pass online beforehand. We were able to leave the car in place for the entire stay and got around via foot, Lyft, or subway - much easier than driving in the city.
Polyester sheets and prison furniture!
Checkin: No welcome note, not one Chinese delivery menu, no guides to Toronto or sight seeing suggestions, no books about Canada or anything else, no movies, games, instructions, nothing. The host was professional, but not warm. We got answers to questions, but no "have a nice stay in Toronto" and any other examples of warmth.
The flat itself: Parking is street parking only - this was a hassle every night upon return but I suspect it would be the same anywhere in the city. Walking 1-2 blocks with groceries/parcels and then climbing the stairs was challenging for our party of suburbanites!
~16 steep, uneven steps straight up to get to the entry level. Ok for all of us, but not entirely kosher for my 81 year old mom.
No ice-maker. For a flat that claims to accommodate 10 guests, this was odd and inconvenient. There were 3 ice trays in the freezer -1 tiny and 2 standard but 2/3 were broken. We bought ice every day at WalMart.
The sheets were 100% polyester and behaved like a slip-n-slide. Polyester is monumentally uncomfortable - hot, slick, and entirely inappropriate for a place in this price range. Also, there were 2 standard pillows on all 3 large beds upstairs and 1 each on the twin beds. No extra pillows, blankets anywhere. All the AC floor registers in the master bedroom were closed, save 1. It took a few days to figure out why that room was so hot. There is 1 thermostat and it never ever reached the target temp. No floor or ceiling fans anywhere.
The LR furniture was produced by someone who is paid to outfit prisons or something similar! The sofa shown in the photo should be promptly used for kindling, not sitting. This was the worst piece of furniture I have ever tried to sit on - there is absolutely no cushioning at all and upon sitting - one immediately feels the wood frame beneath the gray fabric. Torture device. The chairs in the LR have no arms! There will be no relaxing in this room. Zero. Plan to sit on the floor, which beat all the furniture provided by a mile. The tiny tables in that room are all about 12" off the floor. Strange.
The kitchen table ok but the chairs aren’t comfortable and 2 were broken and unusable. 3 small balconies unusable w/no furniture.
The tiny balcony which overlooks the back patio (not the flat’s patio) was unsightly and filled with garbage and debris.
The washer/dryer worked perfectly.
Overall, we paid too much for what we got. Pretty nice flat, but not what we expected for the price paid.
Exactly as advertised. The place is in a great, vibrant neighbourhood of Toronto and was well set up for a family. It was very clean and well equipped and had lots of thoughtful touches that made our stay easier, like hair dryers in each bathroom, and a few kitchen basics on site.
Beautiful home and great location
Very comfortable with lots of room. There are stairs into the home and again to 3 of the bedrooms on the next floor, to keep in mind. If bringing a car, there is only street parking which requires a permit from the city of Toronto, which is easily obtained through their website. There was no need to move the car again during our visit as so much is within walking distance or taxi/ride share is a good option. Written instructions on how to use the TV would have been helpful. Over all loved this property and would stay here again when visiting Toronto.
Conveniently located in the middle of all the action Toronto has to offer.
