There are some many activities and things to see on Kauai. We have been coming several times every year for the past 15 years and still haven't seen it all.

What makes this condo unique

This beachfront condo is centrally located in the center of Kauai. It is just a short drive to either the North Shore or to Waimea Canyon.

My husband and I arrived hoping to find a nice view as advertised - well the view turned out to be picture postcard perfect! It was huge and unobstructed! We spotted whales and turtles almost every day from the lanai. Wailua Beach was only 100 steps away, with a long, clean sandy beach and good access to the water. Unit 204 was very clean, fully outfitted with all the necessities and quite roomy for a one bedroom. The king sized bed was great! The bar-be-que and pool area was excellent - super clean and well maintained.

Being centrally located on the Coconut Coast gave us many shopping and eating-out options.

It was a real pleasure dealing with the unit owner, Chuck. He was very professional and communicated with us in a timely manner. We really enjoyed Chuck's pictures before arriving and there were no surprises when we got there! His directions and check-in instructions were good. Plus, we were contacted immediately by rental management, inquiring if they could be of any assistance.

We feel we received full value staying oceanside in #204, which was of prime importance to us. Can't wait to come back! Thank you Chuck!

Great stay in paradise with the comforts of home!

When my husband and I booked our airfare to Kauai for the first week of March, we knew we didn't want to stay at a hotel, resort, or just any cheap condo. Having a kitchen was key for us. And free-wifi and free parking are also important--things you don't get at the resorts these days. We are so lucky we were able to find this unit at the Wailua Bay View--do you know how hard it was to find a condo without a road or powerlines blocking your view of the ocean?? You don't get a much better view than the one here (unit #204). The location was excellent, since we knew we would be spending time both in Poipu and in Princeville--this place was right in the middle. And only 10 minutes away from the airport. You can walk to the Coconut Marketplace, which has a few shops and restaurants. Be sure to check out the Lava Lava Beach Club--great Happy Hour.

The unit was equipped with everything we needed for the week (except a good cutting board--did we miss it somewhere??). We were able to prepare many of our own meals, which save us $$$ from eating out. The BBQ grills by the pool were popular, and we used them two or three times for dinner. Oh, and the washer/dryer was great! There was only enough soap to do one load, but that was all we needed for the 6 days we were there. Updated appliances and countertops, and the blue walls give the place a nice touch. The ceiling fans kept us plenty cool in the evenings and we didn't need to use the A/C at all. We also enjoyed Chuck's photography mounted on the walls and coffee table p[hotography book.

Oh, and the view from the patio was amazing. You won't see much of a sunset, but the morning sunrises (especially after a storm) were breathtaking. Be sure to go to the coffee shop across the street to get a mac nut sticky bun and coffee to enjoy on the patio. We were able to catch the sight of some whales breaching.

If you are a light sleeper, you might want to consider bringing some earplugs. If the roosters crowing at 5:00am don't wake you up, the commute traffic along the main road might. Otherwise, the place was pretty quiet.

Chuck was a pleasure to work with--I only contacted him a couple of times with questions prior to arriving and he was always quick to respond. This was just the type of place we were looking for during our stay in Kauai. Thank you, Chuck!!

Owner's Response: Thank you for your reservation and review. Winter is a great time to visit Kauai because of the humpback whales traveling right by in front of the condo. Thank you for reminding me about Lava Lava Beach Club. It is the only restaurant on the island that you can sit on the beach and have a drink or meal and is only a block away. All my guest seem to find the coffee shop right across the street as well as taking a walk on the paved shoreline beach path that circles the East side. I am sure there was a cutting board and I will make sure it is located in an easy to find location. Mahalo!

Fantastic Location!

This is a wonderful condo rental! The view is fantastic and the location is convenient for day trips. The condo is immaculate and newly decorated. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to come back some day. The owner, Chuck, was easy to deal with and returned our security deposit promptly.

WHEN MY HUSBAND AND I ARRIVED AT THE CONDO WE WERE NOT SURE WHAT TO THINK. WE COULD NOT LOCATE A PERSON TO TALK TO IN ORDER TO GET A PARKING PASS. SO WE LEFT OUR NAME AND CONDO # AT THE OFFICE DESK AND 2 DAYS LATER WE RECIEVED OUR PARKING PASS. WE FOUND IT A LITTLE DIFFICULT TO CARRY OUR LUGGAGE UP THE STAIRS TO THE CONDO AS THERE WAS NO ELEVATOR. UPON ENTERING THE CONDO IT WAS NICE. THE CONDO WAS CLEAN AND IT HAD NICE FURNISHINGS. WE THOUGHT THAT THE SHOWER AND WASHING MACHINE SMELLED A LITTLE MOLDY. WE DISCOVERED A ROACH TRAP UNDER THE CHAIR IN THE LIVING ROOM. WE REALIZE THAT IT IS A TROPICAL AREA AND THESE CRITTERS ARE AROUND BUT IT WAS STILL DISPLEASING. THE LANAI WAS NICE AND THE FURNITURE WAS NICE ALSO. WE WERE KIND OF DISAPPOINTED TO SEE AN ABANDONED BUILDING OF SOME SORT BELOW OUR LANAI THAT APPEARED TO BE FALLING DOWN AND WAS ALL GATED OFF. IT MADE THE VIEW OF THE OCEAN DISAPPOINTING. AT NIGHT THE PARKING LOT WAS VERY NOISY. YOU COULD HEAR PEOPLE TALKING VERY LOUDLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT. THE GAS STATION ACROSS THE STREET ALWAYS SEEMED TO BE THE HOME OF TRANSIENTS AND WE REALLY DID NOT WANT TO EVER GO THERE FOR ANYTHING. WE HAD A LOT OF THINGS THAT WE DID ON THE ISLAND SO THAT ALWAYS KEPT US VERY BUSY. THE LOCATION OF THE CONDO IS GREAT BECAUSE IT IS CENTRALIZED TO EVERYTHING WE WANTED TO DO. THE CONDO WAS STOCKED WITH MOST ITEMS BUT WE DID END UP PURCHASING SOME THINGS . WE WERE A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED WITH THE CONDO AND WOULD MORE THAN LIKELY NOT RENT IT AGAIN.

Owner's Response: Aloha Pat and Tammy, I am sorry you felt your experience only rated a 3 star review. The parking pass is for your protection and the managers office is not occupied 24/7. We are one of the very few resorts our size that has an on-site resort manager that is available in case of an emergency. I will have the washing machine and bathroom areas looked at to make sure they smell fresh. This is something that is checked before EVERY guest arrival and should not have been issue. The building you spoke of is part of the $100,000,000 restoration of the the Hyatt Coco Palms. Coco Palms is scheduled to be reopened in 2018 and will be one of only 7 Upscale Hotels managed by Hyatt worldwide. I am happy you found the CONDO CLEAN AND IT HAD NICE FURNISHINGS, THE LANAI WAS NICE AND THE FURNITURE WAS NICE ALSO, THE LOCATION OF THE CONDO IS GREAT BECAUSE IT IS CENTRALIZED TO EVERYTHING WE WANTED TO DO, and THE CONDO WAS STOCKED WITH MOST ITEMS. We try extremely hard to make sure your vacation is trouble free. I gather that the surroundings (not location) were a large part of the impact of your overall review. Mahalo for your comments, Chuck

Beautiful view and truly near the beach.

We really enjoyed our stay. We had every we needed. We were there in late February and never needed to use the AC. It was clean and comfy. We would stay there again.

Nice Unit in Moderate price range

Unit was well situated on island for travel to both north and south. Pool water temperature was very cold. Lacking drapes for privacy from beachdwellers (they seemed to build fires every night and search the area with flashlights ????. Encampment on right somewhat disturbing for security reasons. Onsite manager (Tim) was helpful for assisance on restaurants, etc.). Unit seemed pretty well equipped and maintained, and grounds were as well. All in all, a fair value for price.

Cozy, pristine getaway with a lovely view

We love staying in the "middle" of Kauai as we are hikers. Both the Napali Coast and Waimea Canyon offer incredible opportunity for us. And Hanalei Bay as well as Poipu are also favorite places for us to spend a day. Chuck's condo is in the perfect location and he has provided a comfortable and fully equipped apartment for those of us who prefer to eat home and listen to the ocean in the evenings. He is also completely and quickly available if needed. Enjoy your stay!
