Rent payments may be made via bank transfer in US$’s to our Barbados account. Alternatively we accept card payments in the UK to our UK agents, or by Paypal. Please note that Credit card & Overseas payments are subject to a 4% surcharge, and will be invoiced in UK£’s Sterling at our UK banks prevailing exchange rate.
The villa is privately owned & the owners may make changes or repairs at any time as they see fit.
It is maintained to the custom & practise of Barbados, which may be quite different to the response you are used to at home – especially if overseas sourced items have become broken or damaged.
Please book the villa ONLY when you are ABSOLUTELY SURE of visiting.
After you have paid the deposit we are prepared to change your booking to other dates that are available at their appropriate rates, and will credit your new booking with 50% of your original deposit paid. Once the balance has become due you are liable for the full cost of your original booked dates. Bookings will be cancelled and deposits forfeited if the balance has not been paid by 4 weeks before arrival date.
To cover your group for all unforeseen events, including any reason for you cancelling your visit, you should arrange comprehensive travel insurance cover effective from the date you book the villa.
However, if you do then have to cancel , as a gesture of goodwill, we will attempt to re-rent those dates & if successful we will refund you 50% of the amount we receive for them as a short notice rental.
No liability can be accepted for your losses if you choose not to take out insurance or if your insurance does not cover your losses.

There is a large private swimming pool, and superb tropical paradise beaches to either side. Nearby is Sam Lords Castle, and Crane Beach Resort is just one mile along the coast. Suited to those wanting a relaxing, romantic or private get away break, the area is much quieter than the main tourist areas on the South and West coasts, and benefits from an almost constant gentle soothing breeze. The South East Coast has a more natural & relaxed environment and is specially noted for the genuine hospitality and friendliness of its local inhabitants. The location is ideal for Family vacations; Weddings & honeymoons; Discreet romantic breaks; Golfing holidays; Family reunions; and also as a Retreat or Business off-site meeting location.

About the owner: John & Marjorie are semi-retired parents & grandparents residing in England. John is a Chartered Engineer with a career in major manufacturing companies followed by management consulting – specialising in directing major business performance improvement projects across the world for international Blue-Chip companies. Marjorie is a professional ice dance skater. At only 10 she was the youngest ever to represent Great Britain at ice dancing, and at 16 became Professional British & World Ice Dance Champion! Later, in business she was MD of an Executive Recruitment Consultancy. They first visited Barbados for 1 week in 1994, staying at Sam Lords Castle resort in St Philip on the SE Coast. They loved Barbados and the local Bajans so much they returned the following year & were married on Sam Lord’s beach. They have visited more than 60 times since then and decided to invest in Idyllic Villa in 2001. They built a second villa ‘Beach Haven’ on the Caribbean West Coast in 2006 which is also available for rent. They are both very particular and very practical hands on people, and have built / refurbished the villas to a very high standard. They are both always kept by the housekeepers in an excellent, clean & well maintained condition. They fully manage the property maintenance and lettings themselves – visiting 3 or 4 times a year to keep everything ship shape – as well as having regular vacations there! They have many strong friendship links with local residents, so they can introduce guests into the ‘behind the scenes’ Bajan local life if they wish to be more adventurous & involved.

Idyllic Villa is one of 3 privately owned villas on Coral Point Estate, built on an outcrop at the end of Sam Lords South beach – the beach used by Marriott’s for their weekly themed Shipwreck Party nights. The location and view over the sea is so absolutely stunning it cannot be fully appreciated by description or photos – it has to be visited to be believed. Many visitors, who know the island well, have said this has to be the best villa location in the whole of Barbados. It has been rented for many purposes ranging from corporate / political events & business meetings to romantic sojourns, weddings and family vacations. The private gated estate provides privacy and seclusion in a quieter area of Barbados – well away from the tourist centres. However it is only 12 minutes drive from the airport & just a mile along the coast from the world famous Crane Resort which is renowned for having one of the top 10 beaches in the world.
