|Minimum Stay||6 nights|
Located on the beautiful shores of Lake Coeur d’Alene, just north of Harlow Point and historic Harrison, Idaho. This home sits on one full acre with two hundred feet of private waterfront, which makes it the perfect location for your family getaway.
Bring your family and friends and relax where you can swim, bike or hike right out the back door. We invite you and your friends to enjoy this beautiful location with panoramic views of Lake Coeur d’ Alene. You’ll enjoy having your own private beach, fire pit and swimming area. Bring your own boat to moor at the dock, or rent one of our boats (make reservations well in advance). My Grandpa has landed a couple 20lb Northern Pike at our beach, so bring your fishing poles and license/permits. You can also catch kokanee salmon and small mouth bass from the dock.
If you would like to get some exercise while touring North Idaho's most pristine river valleys, a morning spent on the Trails of the Coeur d’Alene's is a must. 70+ miles of paved trail for biking, walking, rollerblading and skateboarding, which runs follows the Coeur d'Alene river from its headwaters to the lake, and follows the lake shore south and west to Worley, Idaho (near the Coeur d'Alene Casino).
Many of Lake Coeur d'Alene's desired destinations are less than 10 minutes away by boat: Conkling Park, Harrison, Rockford Bay (Shooter's Marina) and Carlin Bay Resort. The well-known Coeur d'Alene Resort and the famous floating green are less than 30 minutes away by boat.
Our family has resided in the Harrison area for 50+ years. We love spending time in the surrounding mountains and on Lake CDA. We have been offering several homes in the area as vacation rentals for 10+ years, and we strive to ensure you have the best possible experience while staying in our homes.
- Southwestern exposure provides great sunlight all day
- Easy beach access
- Boat and kayak rental options
My 3 boys and I had a wonderful time at Grandma's Cabin. We caught lots of fish, including a 5 pound largemouth bass, and really got to enjoy the beauty of the lake.
The boat dock was a great time saver and obviously very convenient. Accomadations in the cabin itself were really nice, especially the full size washer and dryer.
There is plenty of room in the cabin. We actually had more than enough room for ourselves. The central location on the lake made it easy to get to anywhere we
needed to go in our boat.
The highlights of the cabin stay were deer in the yard every day, and wild turkeys nearly every day. While on our boat, we saw osprey, golden eagles, bald eagles, and
a moose with her twin calves. It was a great week away and we look forward to the next time we get to come up to your neck of the woods.

We just spent a week at Grandma's Cabin. It had everything you could want in a lake house. There were four adults and three kids. We were all comfortable and kept busy. The Reinhardts were very helpful and friendly. They take great care of the property. We also rented a boat from them which was great. We would definitely come back here.
Visited Grandma's cabin on a business trip and had a cozy time there. Renovated bathrooms was nice and the location can't be beat. Plan to return in July.
My family and I just spent a wonderful week at Grandma's Cabin again this year. It is the third time I've brought my family, and about the fifth time I've stayed at this rental. The private dock and water activities are definitely the best part about staying here. The Reinhardt family rents powerful pontoon boats and my wife really loves the kayaks and water trampoline. I was impressed this year when we had nine grown adults in the pontoon boat and it still pulled skiers better than the ski boat I grew up with!
The Reinhardt family is very kind and they sincerely want their guests to have a good time and enjoy the area. I love the Harrison area because it is quiet, but there is still plenty to do. We spent a lot of time playing on the private dock at Grandma's cabin, walked the bike trails in Harrison, and the kids could spend all day tubing behind the pontoon!
The house is a little bit older, but it is perfect for a lake vacation and I have seen many improvements each year that I've been there. I love the beauty of the lake and am looking forward to bringing my parents and siblings out to Grandma's Cabin next year.
Listing was described accurately, but the home needs desperate upgrading and cleaning. Bathroom was sub-par, smelled like mildew and made you feel dirty just being in it. Kitchen was poorly equipped and could be stocked nicely if the owners hit a few yard sales and occasionally sharpened the knives.
The dock was the best attraction as it is well made and had plenty of room for two boats along with electricity to plug into.
Some of the neigbors to the south were extremely rude and down right nasty. The road to cabin is single lane dirt causing much friction between neighbors and visitors so be cautious of a green Dodge truck with California plates the dude driving is ignorant and rude (neighbor to the south).
I absolutely can't say enough good things about this rental. We had a large group of adults and kids there for almost a week, and it was the perfect place for everyone. I especially liked how quiet and private it was, particularly during the weekdays. It had something for everyone - large yard was great for the kids, loved the covered porch for shady time in the afternoons, easy access to a great dock and lake, quick access to the bike trail. The house was perfect and had everything we could possibly need. Extra bonus was the nest of baby birds in the eaves above the porch. The house was clean and laid out well - we never felt cramped. Mike and Patty were great hosts and so helpful in every way. I would absolutely, with no reservations whatsoever, recommend this rental for anyone looking for a fun, relaxing, spectacular escape to the lake. We hope to return there on an annual basis - it was the perfect vacation spot. Heartfelt THANKS for providing such a beautiful place to escape. The extra guest house was also great, such a sweet little place.
This cabin is perfect for families. Kids in our group ranged from age 6-15 and they all had a terrific experience. The dock, swimming area, and water trampoline were perfect for kids of every age. The cabin is perfect for adults as well, with tremdous views of the lake and very good water access. The cabin is well stocked and very comfortable, plus a gas grill. The south end of the lake has less water traffic and multiple bays for exploring and playing. Evening/sunset campfires on the waterfront are awesome. The cabin also has easy acess to Harrison by road and water. Cabin also has easy access to the Trail of the Coeur d'Alene's bike trail, which is one of the best bike trails anywhere (scenic but flat, perfect for anything from a relaxing family ride to a long road bike tour). Mike and Patty are great hosts and made sure our visit was relaxing and stress-free. We brought kayaks/canoe for paddling, swim toys, fishing poles, chairs for lounging on the dock, bikes, and of course, a boat (rent one from Mike and Patty if you don't have one, it is well worth it), and this spot was perfect for all of those activities.
