About Michael Evans
We are the Evans family, and we are so excited to venture into the vacation property world! We have had such great experiences staying in Vrbo properties ourselves that we decided to buy this beautiful home and share it with others. Originally from Alabama, we moved to Colorado in 2011 and have fallen in love with Colorado for so many reasons: crisp mountain air, beautiful seasons, the active lifestyle, spectacular views, and all the outdoor activities anyone could ask for! We hope others who stay in the home will experience all the peace and relaxation we have enjoyed here.
Michael Evans purchased this House in 2019
Why Michael Evans chose Florissant
We researched real estate properties for over ten years before purchasing the Pawutsy Pad. Out of hundreds of properties we viewed, we knew this one was special. The floorplan is simple, the space is large enough to host families, there is no thru-road (so there's no traffic), the lot is large and beautifully wooded, and it is perfectly peaceful and quiet. We plan to keep this home in our family for generations because it is just such a special place.
What makes this House unique
The atmosphere on the front deck makes this such a relaxing retreat home. Eating lunch outside, enjoying the fire pit, and taking in the mountain air in complete privacy rejuvenates the soul!

Quite pine forest retreat
Easy process. Fast owner response.
Nice place, lots of wildlife.
We stayed there one night and would do it again if we were in the area . The deer came right up to the house.
It was amazing to wake up every morning and watch all the deer walk right through the front yard and see the chipmunks playing on the side of the house. We would sit on the deck with our coffee and just watch the wildlife. The master bedroom was amazing. My husband said the bed was a bit too soft for him but I loved sleeping on it. My mom said the upstairs beds were a bit too firm for her taste, my dad had no complaints. The fold out couch was very hard, my son wished we had brought him the air mattress to sleep on instead. My mom had some difficulty adjusting to the altitude so that might be something you will want to consider. We went from 900 ft above sea level to this place is 9,000 ft.; Pikes Peak is 14,000 ft. I just had a headache the first day but my mom is older so she had a few more issues that lasted a few more days. The house was fully stocked the only thing that we would have liked to have that we didn’t was a toaster but we made toast on the stove to go with our eggs.
In all, it was a great stay. I’d stay at this house again in a heart beat. We want to go back next year and the only reason we may not choose this house again is because we will probably be coming with a larger group because everyone was jealous of our trip and said they want to come next time. Do make time to check out the wolves that are down the road about two miles. There are tours that cost $25 instead of $35 if $35 seems too much. They h ad a lot of information and they need the business so they can care for these endangered animals. My daughter wants to move there and work at that sanctuary when she grows up, wolves have always been her favorite animal.
We enjoyed our stay quite well. Quiet neighborhood , clean house.
Thank you for the review! I am so glad you enjoyed your stay.
Great house in a good location with everything you need and plenty to do.
Location - A little off the beaten path but for our use to be close to the riding areas it was great. Being in the trees was nice with all the wildlife we got to see and interact with.
Outside House - Right when you pull up you see where you're going to be spending most of your time at. The deck and below patio are large, well built and have plenty of seating for everyone in your group. Not to mention the grill and the fun game that involves ring on a string and a hook on the pillar was a great way to keep us entertained. The fire pit was also where we spent a good chunk of our nights and the setup along with all the wood provided was a very nice way to cap of a day. Also, the pull thru driveway was very nice with our trucks and trailers.
Inside House - VERY CLEAN AND WELL ORGANIZED. The downstairs bedroom had the king bed and master bath with a walkout to the patio. Upstairs the kitchen, dinning area and living room were all spacious and we'll furnished. The other two bedrooms upstairs and other bathroom were all comfy.
Overall an amazing experience with this house and land. We will most definitely be looking to book this one again next summer on our yearly dirt bike trip.
Thank you so much for sharing about your great experience! The things you mentioned are exactly what I hoped would make the place special. I am happy to have your group come back!
We had a really great time at the Pad! Wish we could have stayed longer. Property was spotless and fresh. Michael has paid attention to smallest details.
Thank you for the positive comments. If you can think of a way I could earn a 5-star review, please let me know. Thanks for booking!
