Beautifully appointed garden apartment features bedroom with king-sized bed, lots of closet space, full kitchen with stovetop, oven microwave/convection oven, coffee bar, double sink & refrigerator. Pots, pans, dishware and accessories all provided. Full bath with long vanity counter & bath/shower (All linens and towels provided.) The main room is spacious with sitting and dining areas. Enjoy satellite tv, dvd/video players, stereo, and air conditioned The sofa in the living room pulls out Iinto a queen size bed. Additional long sofa with linens for both.

You'll enjoy full use of the backyard. It is nicely landscaped with a water pond and wrap-around deck. Gas- and charcoal- grills are available for use. Located on the 12th green of one of the area's best golf courses, the apartment and yard are serene. Fully fenced, it is also ideal for travelers with pets and/or small children. (Pets must be pre-approved by owner, however.) Check in at 2:30 p.m. Check-out at 11:00 a.m. unless special arrangements are made.

Subject to additional holiday night charge plus tax if actual check-out if excessively past checkout time (without prior arrangements).

Just a five minute drive to Oval Beach on beautiful Lake Michigan. Saugatuck is a two year award-winner as one of the country's top ten artists communities and is nestled amidst the natural beauty of Lake Michigan and its dunes, as well as along the shores of the mouth of the Kalamazoo River. The resort area features lots of restaurants, shopping and attractions.

Why Edward Korson chose Southwest

After adding the 2,600 ft addition, and the kids left home, I opted to covert 900-1,000 sq ft of space to rental apartment allowing a pet friendly (subject to approval, of course)property to the mix. Area has few properties which allow this, and goal was to offer this to tenants who want to enjoy their vacation with their four legged family members.

What makes this apartment unique

Very large deck with two grills on one end with table and chairs, unbrella, and sitting area on other end (love seats, chairs, tables, rugs, large appointed plants. Very manicured back yard at your disposal privately.

The guest who found this property through Home Away should never be allowed to rent anyone's property unless you do not care about breakage, absolute abuse to the apartment, and literally living like pigs. I have never seen anything like this before in 20 years. They should never be allowed to rent properties. The renter was William A. and Ann Marie S., They snuck in a guest and when it was discovered they claimed there was a lost email which was an absolute lie. There is breakage to appliances in the apartment, and never have I had any guest leave the apartment as if pigs had stayed for two weeks without supervision. I am totally shocked and these people should never be allowed to rent your property, that is if you care what it is treated like. The email used was

Lovely, homey condo on the gold course

It is a super clean and comfortable condo in Saugatuck...our favorite place to stay when in the area. Also dog friendly for our pooch.

beautiful apartment

Ed's place is beautiful and very clean. The only drawback is it is a lower level unit and doesn't have much natural lighting or an outdoor view. You can sit out on the deck and enjoy the beautiful backyard. We loved it for our needs as a comfortable place to sleep and grab a quick breakfast(well appointed galley kitchen) before heading out to enjoy close by Saugatuck. Ed is a great host with helpful advice on the best restaurants in town. We loved Everyday People's Cafe and Marrro's- both excellent.

Beautiful Basement Apartment

The Twelfth Green is a well appointed apartment that is in the basement. It's listed as "garden level" but you have to walk up 12 stairs to get to the ground floor, so it is in the basement and you cannot see the garden from the small basement windows that are sealed shut. Since I thrive in an environment with natural light and fresh air, if I had known I would be in a basement, I wouldn't have rented the apartment. You have to keep the lights on during the day in order to see because it is so dark.

That being said, Ed takes wonderful care of the apartment and it is immaculate and beautifully furnished. And his beloved dog is an added bonus!

One more thing, the apartment is located downstairs near his office, so if you want privacy, this may not be the place for you. However, Ed was gracious about letting me write in the evenings on his lovely back deck and his yard is beautifully landscaped.

Owner's Response: I am sorry you did not empletely enjoy your totally affordable, well appointed aparatment. The city taxes it as the main floor due to the distance out of the ground. The windows are not sealed as they would not pass fire inspection if they were sealed, and are certainly large enought for a adult to escape in the change of a fire so I hardly would call them tiny. The apartment has been fully booked for over 15 years, do to the affordability, allowing certain approved pets, and having private access to the back decks, grilles, off street parking and a endliss list of amenities at a guest's request, including their own choice of music outdoors should they choose. They say a picture is worth a million words. The pictures on site are eactly just that. Everything regarding the apartment is fully disclosed on the site and possibly you were looking for more. At the price it rents for I am constantly working days aroundto accomodate other travelers. A comparison of properties in the area demonsrate the units affordability, and with the continued return of previous tenants (some have been coming here for over 5 years in a row) says I am doing something right.

Relaxing Getaway!

My wife and teenage son spent 3 days on the 12th Green this past July. The accommodations were exactly as described. Ed could't have been more accommodating with the premises and the surrounding areas. We were fortunate enough to bring our dog, and she too had a great time with plenty of room to roam. The apartment was clean and furnished perfectly. The deck in the back was large enough to enjoy dinners on the grill or simply relax and listen to music. Look forward to returning soon to beautiful Saugatuck and the 12th Green.

it is in a basement

The unit is clean, the owner is polite. The disposal was broken, and the absence of a dishwasher does not encourage cooking in the apartment. Feel like that the fact that it is in a basement should have been spelled out in the description. Otherwise - no issues.

Owner's Response: Well it is clearly indicated it is garden level, which is taxed as a main floor because of the amount of feet out of the ground. Evidenced by the large windows in the unit shown on the site. The pictures fully show the apartment. In the details, it does indicate that there is no dishwasher. The disposal was fixed the next week as soon as I could get a worker to replace it. But everything is fully disclosed as to the amenities and space. You could stay at the Best Western l/2 mile down the road for almost twice the price for a room with a bed and a bath. Or stay at a B & B which half the amenities over double the price. It's a beautiful place, and a beautiful price, and this summer has been completely booked with all, but one, happy tenants! Sorry but you can't please everyone,.

Sister's Vacation

Our yearly Sister's Get Together (five of us from MI, IN, and VT) thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the apartment. The owner Ed was very helpful in letting us know all the great places to go to in Saugatuck. The apartment was very clean, spacious and very nicely decorated and well furnished. It was furnished with everything we needed in the kitchen and the rest of the apartment. It is set in a beautiful yard with a pond and deck in the backyard. It was so easy to just sit and visit and relax.
