Chattanooga's best neighborhood, close to everything, charming, and quiet
North Georgia native. Moved to Chattanooga last year, after 15 years in California. Absolutely loving Chattanooga, and North Chatt especially.
Why Danny chose North Chattanooga
The Overman House is a unique charmer. Built during WWII the home has retained some of its mid century features, but with a very modern and updated feel. The space is very comfortable for 2 to 4 people. Plenty of space inside and outside!
What makes this House unique
Walking distance to Riverview's mini downtown and less than 2 miles to the shops on Frazier Avenue. Close to all the Chattanooga attractions, but in a very quite residential area. You will feel like a Chattanoogan.

Charming home, great location, clean, fun spot. Walking distance to great restaurants and cute shops
After we arrived we headed down the hill & around the corner to have lunch at the Tremont Pub. Excellent food and great prices. We then checked out all the little shops across the road. Later in the day we visited the Chattanooga Choo choo. Loved walking across the Tennessee River on the pedestrian bridge to get my “steps” in! From there you can go to the aquarium, the I-max theater, the art museum and more. Loved. The Overman House has TV’s in every room, lots of games in a cupboard, a fire pit in the backyard, and a fireplace in the living room. Great view at night from the front porch.
Easy walk or drive into downtown, highly recommend this place.
The North Shore is one of Chattanooga's very best neighborhoods, near all the action, but also very quiet and private. Enjoy a stroll around the neighborhood. Shopping, dining, and bars are closest just North on Hixson. There you will find Il Primo (Italian Dinning), Tremon Tavern (great burgers and fun bar), Southern Squeeze (juice and vegan options), the Mustard Seed (wonderful gift shop), and more. We are located just a little over a mile to the shops at Frazier Avenue, where you will find more shops, restaurants, bars, and Coolidge Park (home of the Carousal) on the river. From there you can take the Walnut Street (pedestrian) bridge to downtown and the Aquarium.
